| If only they weren't related :) :) :) Although, to be fair, even if Kousuke and Carol hadn't been related in any way, I still wouldn't like them as a couple because I don't like Carol, and I don't like their interactions either. Frankly, I would've preferred him being with Misuzu while Carol ends up with Jun's guy friend. But that's just me. That being said, I'm glad to finally get to see the human side of Carol instead of just her "airhead mode". Doesn't really change how I see her, but still. |

| Another incredible episode with insane character depth. It's kinda unreal how a seemingly typical romcom has actually well-written and interesting characters all across the board. All of the characters are incredibly complex for a seemingly generic rom-com setup. It's refreshing, similar to Horimiya. Misuzu still remains the GOAT, but Carol is awesome as well. |

| I still remember how famous the manga panels got when this chapter was released.. It was the first time the manga broke the 4-koma template and actually showed us how important this interaction was.. Coming back to the anime, I'm fully satisfied with how the anime adapted this particular arc.. Carol 2nd best girl! (after Gondo ofc!) |

| Misuzu sure likes to manipulate people. Good thing she doesn’t do it out of pure malice though. This episode had so much drama in it but it was sweet actually. I actually didn’t entirely see this coming with Misaki and Carol since I thought he was just obsessively protective of her not in love with her too but hey it works. |

| I LOVED this episode! <3 <3 We learned a lot about Carol and Saki's relationship in this episode and why she's smiling pretty much all the time ;_; This was so sweet but also pretty funny in some parts too ^_^ Also, I just learned that Carol and Saki are cousins, but aren't actually related by blood? I thought it was odd when Carol was first introduced but I think I do get it now. The top comment on Crunchyroll explains it perfectly so thanks to Cassandove for explaining it!: Regarding the 'cousins' thing: Japan family relations aren't the same as they are in the US. There are a lot of ties/connections that don't have an English translation, so 'cousin' is used (which is obviously very confusing for Western audiences). They're not necessarily blood related; they could just share a connection via a family registry. Fruits Basket has the same issue; the Sohmas are a dynastic clan connected via family registry, but because Western countries don't have a similar concept, they keep using "cousin" because it's the closest word translators can find. |
