| I'd like to reach 500 anime total by the end of this year, but it's kind of a vague "that would be really neat if it happens" kind of goal, and less of an "I'm devoting everything I possibly can to making sure I watch that much anime" kind of thing. That would be 300+ anime watched if I actually did it, though. I'm already watching way more seasonals than I ever did at once last year, and I want to try and get into some longer-running series this year as well, finally... so I'll definitely be watching more this year, if I stick with it. :3 |

| For seasonal anime , honestly it depends on how good the anime are . i'd say about 30 seasonal anime at least , maybe a few movies and around 70 - 80 anime . :) |

| Im going to say 45 series, so I should have 316 by the end of 2023. I normally watch 7+ seasonals, so with that I probably only need to watch 10 more here and there; maybe a movie or two. Or maybe I start a long show like Yu Yu Hakusho or Sailor Moon and only get 35/45 done. |
| It's detrimental to set a number and end up setting yourself up for failure, when the due date arrives. Looking back at how much I've seen in previous years, on my MALGraph. I can say with some confidence, that 80 series is a safe bet for me. But that doesn't change the obvious, which is, "it all depends on how interesting the anime coming out will be". |
| I want to finish all the anime in my watching list that I started before 2023 which is just shy of 50. I'd also like to watch some of the sequels I haven't seen and start working off my on-hold list (although that'll mainly be a 2024 project I suppose), lets be conservative and say that's another 20. Currently I watch about 10 seasonals every season so that'd be another 40, I could see this getting pushed to 50. I also want to explore some already existing stuff I haven't seen yet at a rate of about 3-4 new anime per month so that'd be about 40 more. So about 150-160 anime hopefully. |

| considering Winter 2023 is STACKED with anime I like, I think I'll watch more, but I am slowly trying to finish up some of my holding anime from back in 2015 through 2018 that have been sitting there for almost a decade lol so yes, I think I'll watch more this year. Bit it really depends on how much time I have after work. |

| Watched 123 titles in 2022. This year I'm on pace to hit near 400. Although, I probably won't hit that. I've been watching a lot of short stuff recently. 250 is probably more likely. EDIT: It ended up being exactly 300. |

| So what's up with planning to watch anime? Like I was planning to watch some shows I liked, but you guys treat this piece of disposable entertainment that barely qualifies as a hobby, as some kind of job. |
| After this season, I'm gonna try to hold myself to no more than 15 per season (except for summer) since uni is really beating my ass right now. So with just seasonals, that'd be some where around 80 or 90 depending on how much airs in summer, and how I decide which ones to keep up with this year. Of course, that also doesn't count anime that has already come out that I want to watch. |

| I didn't set a goal number this year. The last two years I set a 120 anime goal and met that last year and in 2021 I saw 180. I just decided to go more with the flow this year and try not to stretch myself too thin and force myself to watch things that I don't enjoy just to reach a set goal. I do want to reach 1400 anime in my list though so that would mean 82 anime (I've completed 4 this year so far so that's 78 more). If I don't reach it though then I'll just do it next year, but it'd be nice if I could... |
