| I have to assume it's because they're now catering to a normie demographic now. Long are the days where Crunchyroll was for weebs only. Which makes their business practice of picking up series like this a little eye roll worthy if they're just going to censor them. I have to assume this will just lead to even more piracy. Normie casuals are temporary and not long term customers of the service. And they've slowly been driving the audience who would stick around, off the site. For more reasons then just this. Personally their translations are shit and their coporate practices are bullshit but that's off topic. |

| Ayakashi Triangle was also heavily censored on Crunchy. I remember like three days ago some shills argued that Crunchy has better video quality than illegal steaming sites which isn't even true. | I've got a feeling CR released the uncensored version first and then changed it as I remember panels 6-9 as they looked in the original. I happened to pick ep 1 up within 30 mins of it dropping on CR and maybe they changed it later. Other panels are just grades of steam censoring. |

| I thought that crunchyroll itself doesn't censor anime? they bought the rights and it happened to be for the censored version. they would air the uncensored one if it was readily available for them? someone who actually knows enlighten me. while I absolutely despise crunchyroll for everything else, I don't want more fuel to this fire because it's already burning bright and hot. |

| I don't care for the most part, as I don't watch anime purely for the fanservice, but I think Crunchyroll should stop licensing shows that would need heavy censorship to be suitable for their platform, and let someone who isn't afraid of nudity pick up those shows. Like World End Harem or whatever it was called, where it's borderline hentai, so they have to censor it with those shitty black blocks that take up most of the screen and make it really hard to tell what's going on. (I haven't even watched the show, nor do I have any intention to, but it's a notorious case of Crunchyroll's censorship that pretty much everyone is aware of.) That show should've been licensed by Netflix, or some other streaming platform that's not afraid of a little nudity. |

It will probably cost more in terms of licensing, but that shouldn't be an issue for Crunchyroll. Mod Edit: removed a quote |

I also think that.. You seem to be okay with the so-called 'censoring' done in the original.. So why should this be a problem.. And to conclude.. | Despite what Users might think, really all Crunchyroll is doing in this instance is streaming the Japanese broadcasted version of an Anime before a less censored version is released on physical disc (because pretty much any frontal nudity is always censored in Japan anyways). I did a comparison once a while back when I splurged and randomly bought a bunch of Anime series with interesting premises on physical discs. One series that interested me was called "A Sister's All You Need" (Yet don't let the title deceive you because the story is actually just about the life of a light novelist who has a weird little sister complex when they technically don't even have a sister). To get back to the point, the Japanese broadcasted aired version is extremely censored. In fact since it's not a very popular Anime franchise in the West I doubt many Western Anime collectors actually own the Anime on physical disc to begin with. This Anime is one of these rare examples that has an official Blu-ray release that has a lot of fanservice completely uncensored (less censored) when you buy an Official physical copy for an Anime and ironically it's still classified as Ecchi Anime to begin with even when all the fanservice is completely censored when it originally aired. Any Anime Pirates out there can likely go confirm for themselves if they don't believe me. I am not really for or against Crunchyroll to begin with but this seems like just another one of these threads specifically created just to trash Crunchyroll. |

BTW I recently actually watched Venus Wars again when I got lucky and found some guy selling his entire Anime collection they owned on Laserdisc at some random yard sale last month :) |

| While there are anime that have aired both censored and uncensored (likely at a later timeslot), I'm pretty sure Crunchyhole has always put up the censored airing regardless of whether or not thats the case. Just stating the obvious, but of course they aren't going to put up the uncensored versions....The industry wants people to actually buy them, which is funny because you can easily find blu-ray rips of said uncensored versions. Also, you really think they'd put in the work to censor this stuff themselves? That's cute. And what exactly would be the benefit of them doing so? |

| not too familiar with what crunchyroll censors from broadcast. But nowadays almost all nipples in a show considered to be "ecchi" are more or less censored. With the world becoming increasingly against what is considered problematic, nipple ecchi is the first to go. This has pretty much killed the hype of ecchis, and they are being treated like adult hentai now. Reason why stuff like hxeros, world's end harem, harem in the labyrinth, and dxd are like never getting followup seasons. So merchandise companies generally don't want to touch them |

| Not sure why all of a sudden there is so much hate for Crunchyroll. If Users seriously dislike their services simply just stop using Crunchyroll if you think it's that bad. There are other services out there that legally stream Anime. Some currently with even bigger libraries. | I don't mind it. As someone who uses crunchyroll and liked the first episode of this show I don't want the camera to perv on the loli. I'm here exclusively for the genderbender aspect. It wasn't agressive enough that I realized at first it was censored. Also, I feel like I still saw those 4 bottom frames of the comparison in the CR version. Maybe they put it up and replaced it with a more censored version later? I'm also a fan of how intricate the the drawing of the bra isle is. I feel like they put in a lot of effort there and I'm glad I got more time to appreciate it. |
