High stakes matches with unusual stipulations. This episode and match tests the impact of how players can control the pace and also who they can play with/against.

Seems this episode made Kiyoshi looks really good at first until they realized their opponents were on another level. On the other hand, I am fairly impressed on how much Kiyoshi has improved.

Man... we really didn't stand a chance against Team Red. Huh? They're the Top 3 for a reason. Also, that Aoshi guy was definitely not a surprise. That was a given that he must have something that put him at the Top 3 and it was his agility and power. Nice. But, our boys were not going to give up that easily. So... they stood their ground.

We also got to witness the first corner in this show if I'm not forgetting and it was an awesome one. But, Team White was not up to the task since the skill gap was too high between these two teams and now even Bachira is not with them. Pretty good ED as well.

Match against the top 3 is underway, though will you believe me if I say it was Isagi who scored first for his team or heck the first one of the match? Yes Isagi who takes umpteen amount of time thinking in his head before even tapping the ball. Surprising but I mean he has progressed. Though even before he could celebrate, the man on mission Rin scored the equaliser.

Unfortunately it didn’t end there as the team of top dogs scored twice in no time, not in a normal fashion at that. Nagi did devise the strategy, it worked as well diminishing the score by one but guess you really can’t underestimate the power of edginess as Rin clean sweeped even the smallest of chances of Isagi’s team had, with two super quick goals.

It’s Isagi’s loss, and they're going to take away Bachira too. Ultimate worst case.

Btw animation looked kinda really fine in this match. But man last ED > new ED.

Stage 3: the 3-on-3 rivalry battle of the 2nd Selection, and the trio of Isagi, Bachira and Nagi all play to their strengths. But so is Rin Itoshi, not playing any superficial games and getting into serious business of a death match. Plus, with the glamorous Aryu Jyubei and worrisome Tokimitsu Aoishi, Team Red easily overwhelms Team White. This is why these 3 guys are the current Top 3 of Blue Lock, and they are a force to be reckoned with.

To have a strategy play that would outwit the Top 3, it's an uphill battle for Team White reaching 4 more goals to win and stop 2 conceding goals. Using the technique of the triangle and playing one-touch soccer, the trio hopes that this will give them much needed benefit, and sure enough, the Nagi-Bachira teamwork did give them one while Isagi's spatial orientation keeps Rin in check. But whatever it is, skills cannot compensate for talented play, and Rin has Isagi fully controlled in captivity that the outcome leads to the total loss of Isagi's team against Rin's team with a score of 5-2.

Team Red's choice to steal? Bachira, and as much as he wants to stay by Isagi's side, he has no choice but to win and steal him back again.

I prefer the 1st Cour's ED than this, the 2nd ED feels too messy.

As expected, you can't go against the top three and just think you'll win right off the bat. Bachira was the one to go for now and Isagi will have to come up with Nagi a way for them to catch up.

PS: I was wondering when we'd see the first olympic goal and there it is. That's some crazy spin the ball had to take for it to be successful.

It's interesting that they took Bachira instead of Nagi, but now we'll have more interaction between Isagi and Nagi. Curious to see how Isagi will handle this after witnessing the gap between him and the top. He has a new wall to climb now and a new goal in getting Bachira back. I think we'll see Nagi play an important role in helping Isagi grow.

The ED visual is on fire! (Someone said it's actually the new OP)
I love how they introduce the top 3 in the most typical way of introducing shounen villain.
Bachira said "If you want me, come and get me" screammmmmm but I also kinda indecisive because now Isagi is with Nagi which is also a very delicious ship.
Oh, and the after credit scene is as cute as ever.

2nd cour starts. Team Red vs Team White, what an intense match it was. Rin could see the exact same things Isagi could see and it was chaos.

Sadly Team White lost and they chose Bachira to be on their team, I hope Isagi gets Bachira back to his team as Bachira wants to be on Isagi's team.

It'll be one match per episode at this pace. That's definitly not a bad thing in order to get to the best arc of Blue Lock. Rin, Aryu and Tokimitsu. Man, the sound his muscles make are fucking creepy as hell. He's definitly the sleeper type build. It was an one-sided match for most of the part. Even though they've had a plan made up in order to work together. The individual skills of the first three players are just way better. 5-2 and Bachira is taken by them. The next match will be great.

I am glad they stuck with the first OP. Also glad that Nagi is the one who got left with Isagi it'll be fun seeing them improve their chemistry if we're headed in that direction. ED is good, lofi songs like the last ed are the norm these days so good to see a change for once.

Tokimitsu's display was the funniest. Him and Aryu are a lot more interesting than Rin.

Very predictable outcome, but I am glad it turned out this way- if they won against Top 3, it would be too unrealistic, even for show with superpowers XD
New OP is okay, I prefer the previous one. Also some frames were pretty ugly, still poses etc. This show can be so beautiful, but sometimes it's painful to look at

Isagi got a little too ambitious with challenging the top 3 and this was the expected outcome. Those guys are just on a whole different level, and for good reason. Their teamwork is non-existent but their individual abilities makes up for that. Time for Isagi and Nagi to climb their way back up without Bachira.

Oof power point slide episode, and even some of the still shots looked weird. Still a fairly entertaining match to watch ig. Rin is so much more annoyingly edgy than I remembered, and the sound effects they used during Tokimitsu's play sounded so disgusting lmao. Don't really care for any of the opposing trio as individual characters, they're all so irritatingly weird. Bachira got stolen. Looks like Isagi and Nagi will have to grow together as a pair and learn to form their own chemical reactions.

Glad to see the first OP again for the last time! The visuals for the new OP looks pretty slick (even though most were reused shots), don't really care for the song itself though. Then again, that's what I initially said for the first OP too so it might grow on me sooner or later. Looking forward to seeing the new ED.

Great episode, outcome was as expected with Isagi's team losing but I was surprised that the other team picked up Bachira as I thought they would take Nagi but since the others can already score having a great passer to form a semblance of a team makes sense.

The after credit scene was hilarious with that weird guy Tokimitsu wanting to initially decline joining Rin's team.

As expected, Isagi's team White loss to Rin's team Red. Teamwork hardly matters when you have the Top 3 players on your team. Rin is a guy that can score from anywhere whether it is from the midfield or from the corner. Aryu is long and has tremendous athleticism with his glam style. Tokimitsu talent seems to explode when he's under pressure. Isagi ends up loosing Bachira as part of the rules for the loosing team so there is nothing else for him to do except go back to Stage 2 waiting area and form a new team with some of the other players from Team Z.

Blue lock is back and it's back with another banger of an episode.

Everyone is displaying their skills as they should but there is one person who stands out the most and that is Itoshi Rin. All his goals were as Aryu would say, GLAM

They stole my boy Bachira but he'll be fine. I'm more worried about Nagi and Isagi.

Damn. It makes sense for the good guys to lose. It's too early to beat Rin tbh.

Did not expect them to pick Bachira! I really thought they were going to choose Nagi.

I also expected a bit more from Nagi in that game? Seeing how he was unstoppable vs Team Z.

Really looking forward to who Isagi and Nagi play in the 2v2. Even if they win, they'll be sending someone home...

Idk why but this episode feels stagnate in terms of hype and vibe way past their peak in the first cour, seriously i just lost it. May because of the expected outcome of those mini game. Tho they choose Bachira was actually good enough to make things interesting even if its already way too late over the time. But well, let's what's coming next, i guess.

While back to the protag, Yoichi got a problem with his smell of the goal that get denied. Then now he lost Bachira. He needs to find a better way to deal with someone like Rin. Otherwise Yoichi will waste all the development he got before...

Decent episode, the top 3 are good as expected and Rin's a different Beast on his own. But the new ED (or new OP I'm not sure,) is legit the best part about this episode, it really reminds me of an MMV and the visuals are pure candy to my eyes.

Judging by the current pace of the anime, I'ma say that the next ~3 episodes are going to be dedicated to what Isagi and Nagi are up to in the 2-man stage.

Uh... this chapter felt weird. Very rushed and random maybe? I really enjoy Blue Lock but this chapter was boring in my opinion plus I found Isagi really annoying. And then the red team looked very superficial and I don't like that. Anyway, I'm sure things will get better again and I find interesting what happened in the end.

So they lost, and it definitely wasn't a close game. As it should be, it's what would happen with such a massive skill gap. And yeah Itoshi Rin is f*cking awesome. Some of the best characters in anime are the ones who talk a lot of sh*t, but are able to back it up 110%. I love how he states that he doesn't care who they choose to be on their team, that it wouldn't matter. They could probably stay as a 3-man team the whole team and win all the way, even in the 5v5's.

Speaking of who they chose for the their team, I'm assuming most anime-only's such as myself were expecting them to choose Nagi. So yeah for me at least it was actually unexpected when they pointed at Bachira instead. Which actually makes sense, not only from a writing standpoint, since Bachira is kind of a psycho himself so he belongs on a team as such. But with egos as massive as Itoshi Rin and especially the GLAM guy, they'd probably want a player to assist them even more and make them shine even brighter, as GLAM guy states. Plus we in Isagi's shoes have already played against Nagi, so seeing him eventually go up against Bachira would be more interesting.

And I'm assuming whatever team that Isagi does create down the line, he will eventually go up against this team again, with Bachira, and one other mystery player for the final 5v5's. Isagi lost this game, but he's the main character, so obviously he's not going to lose the 2v2 that he and Nagi were pushed down into. He and Nagi will build a new team (although what if they win this 2v2, but lose the next 3v3 after? Does it just continue to reset them back to playing 2v2? Or are 2v2 games finished after the initial 2v2's, because I think I remember it being said that the losing team of the 2v2's is eliminated from blue lock? Eh, technical stuff but I'm sure it will get cleared up for me again in the next episode. EDIT: I forgot that they still have to pick someone from the losing team, so only ONE player gets eliminated at a time.) from the ground up, and most likely have a re-match with this top team that they brutally lost to.

I had heard a few people hyping up this 3v3 segment, and yeah I understand the hype. I like how it's not just one team against the other, things are getting mixed up, players are leaving and joining, and it just keeps things interesting. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this second cour of Blue Lock.
