Miku's official induction into the DIY Club through building the treehouse secret hideout and all that she's done behind the scenes, the cat is out of the bag. And being the tsundere she is, she can't hide anymore, and instead embraces it wholeheartedly. Even Takumi's club apron looks great on her, and Purin is added to the roster, un-officially finalizing the 6 members needed to complete the club (though Miku and Kokoro are of different schools, and they need 2 more to fill).

With all members onboard, the treehouse secret project can commence, with some external help when concerned with the TABs a.k.a Tree Attachment Bolts to get things going. And day in, day out, the treehouse project tires everyone, even Serufu who gives it her all. But where there's progress, the fruition slowly comes through. When it came time to the roof, there's not enough wood, and what better way than to use the clubhouse's wood to complete it.

After all this while, Miku has conceded that DIY can be a lotta fun with friends, and her strained relationship with Serufu gets mended overtime, which shows character development and progress, leading to this moment.

It's the last spurt, and let's Do It Yourself!

1 more episode to go, and I don't wanna bid goodbye to this endearing show...not just yet.

Welcome to the DIY Club, Purin! It was about time.

Purin is one of my favorite tsundere characters of all time. I always love her pout faces. <3

She looks great in her DIY apron!

Jobko looked so cute when she smiled in this scene. ^^

Why does the time go so fast? Only one more episode left... It'll be sad to say goodbye to these characters, but on the other hand, the revelation of their tree house will be the most satisfying moment of the season. :)

I can't wait to see the last episode!

Truly a prime tsundere material this Purin is.

It took her a whole series to join the DIY club, even though she basically was a ghost member from almost the very beginning, they even have an apron ready for you already, lmao. Sadly, next week we getting the last episode, and the finale can't be better done, then with the tree house finished.

11 episodes in and Purin finally agrees to be a member. I'm pretty sure that line at 3:38 was for the audience as well.
Adding some wood from the clubhouse was a nice touch. Thought they were going for the roof for a second there. At least it looks like the treehouse will be done before the rainy season.

On another note, Serufu's design for the treehouse kinda reminds me of how creative Kids Next Door's treehouse was.

Great to finally see Purin on-board. Granted, she's an unofficial member since she attends the school next door, but even so she's somebody who everybody looks up to in the club with her artistry and intelligence. Can't wait to see how the treehouse turns out and the two members the DIY will presumably recruit to make this club official.

With one episode remaining for this season, we are one step away from finally completing the secret hideout.

Let's recap a bit;
The DIY Club has been dwindling away for a while now, and needs to gain six official members to keep the DIY Club alive. Got it? Great. Let's go through the checklist so far;

  • There are four official DIY Club Members, out of the six they need to keep the club alive. Miku, & Kokoro are the two unofficial members, as they go to Yuuyuu Girls' Vocational school, which overshadows the Gatagata Girls' school.

  • Juliet (Jobko) has until the end of the school semester before she has to return to her home.

  • An idea was hatched by the DIY Club members (more specifically, Yua) to create a secret tree-clubhouse. With this being an eye catch for all of the students to see what the DIY Club is capable of.. and hopefully; bring in official members.

  • After gather wood, losing the wood (curse you truck-kun), then working hard to gather more wood for their secret tree-clubhouse. The DIY Club starts building their new base of operations.

  • The club almost didn't have enough wood to finish the roof, thankfully the DIY Overseer gave the current DIY Club the permission to use some of the wood from the current base.. as long as it wasn't noticeable.

Did you keep up with that? Awesome; we are one step away from the Club House being completed. However; it's a bittersweet feeling, as portrayed by Yua & Miku. They both have this feeling of "It's okay if we never finish the treehouse", as they know what comes after. Jobko will leave, which I don't think any of the DIY Members have fully grasped.. besides Yua, Miku, & Jobko who has been working extremely hard to make sure this treehouse is done before she has to return home. I have this same feeling while watching, that makes me not want the last episode to air.. but atlast; all good things must come to an end.

With the final episode approaching, promptly titled:

We're off to the final episode, here's some hope for a second season in the future.

Loved that scene with Kokoro working on the tree attachment bolt. She's brave! These girls are middle schoolers yet I would not have the guts to use power tools the way they do.

It's subtle, but in my opinion, this episode had some of the best animation of the whole series. This show looks so pretty when watching on a TV.

I hope this gets a season 2. I'd love to see the DIY club grow and get more members.

Maybe not the VAs themselves, but the performances for Serufu, Kokoro and especially Jobko, thanks to the amount of squeaky broken English she speaks every episode.

Nice to see Purin get along with the other girls, and seeing them all build the treehouse was so satisfying. Serfuyu is right them building the treehouse is episode you never want to end. Everyone's mood and goals are so inspiring it makes you want to Do something yourself too.

Also I like how the teacher turned her back when the girls were ripping up the floor boards. Not going to lie you probably could've asked for more wood but whatever. Them using the floorboard of the house is something I'd never consider. It was a resourceful decision.

It’s finally official, Purin is part of the DIY club at long last, it was pretty much settled last episode but it was really nice to see it happen, she seemed reluctant with her pouty expressions but the time and mood was just right to reel this tsundere in lol. And construction on the treehouse is finally underway, i found the whole process really interesting, especially the tree attachment bolts. It makes sense that they’d need help from Rei’s parents too, and the natural climber that is Shii lol.

A lot of the building was put into a montage but it was a really nice montage, and it seemed like there wouldn’t be enough wood for the roof, but thankfully Sensei gave the okay for the girls to rip parts off the clubhouse lol, it’s for a good cause tho, and it looks like now there’s nothing in the way of the DIY girls finishing their treehouse, makes me very happy. I do understand Serufu’s feelings of not wanting the treehouse to be finished, it’s what they’ve been working towards for nearly the span of the show and once it’s done, what will be their next “treehouse”?. I also really liked that sweet scene between Purin and Serufu at their homes, Purin appears to think of Serufu as more than a best friend, and I wouldn’t be upset if that’s the case.

And I absolutely hate to say this but there’s one more episode left of fun with the DIY club. I’ll say it now, this is a 10/10 show for me, one of my favorite SoLs without it a doubt.

Purin has finally joined the DIY club, and everyone is excited to have her, including me. The treehouse building is on, and it's going by quickly and swimmingly. Really loved the moment where Serufu and Purin handed half of their own sandwiches to each other, it felt like their friendship from the past never drifted apart at all.

One last obstacle, there wasn't enough wood for the roof, but if we've learned anything from this show, it's that there's always a creative solution for everything.

It's bittersweet to know that next week is the finale, it's going to be sad to say goodbye, but I'm quite sure the completion of the treehouse will be quite the awesome moment.

I felt the animation was different this episode. Maybe I was just watching on a different monitor, but I even wondered if it was a different animation team on the episode. The early portions seemed simpler: spare line drawings. At first I thought it looked cheap. Then I noticed most of the episode was done in a washed-out, almost overexposed light, and looked as though the 'vignette' filter had been applied with the corners of the pictures fading into a frosty white blur. In hindsight, I think the director was going for a dream-like quality, to make the episode seem like a dream or memory.

Or maybe I just turned the brightness up too high on my monitor.

With the way Kokoro enters and exits the clubroom, I can imagine her agreeing to climb the tree with no harness.

That last episode title feels like it's foreshadowing when Jobko will eventually have to leave.

I wasn't sure the 4 attachment points looked strong enough to hold the weight of the treehouse and everything in it, even if they've picked 4 very thick branches to use, but after a little more thought, if the floor is in any tension, it would appear to counteract the bending moment that would naturally exist in the branches.

One more episode? Say it ain't so! ;o;
The interactions in this episode were super cute! Actually I do want to say, the friendship between Yua and Purin is really satisfying. They actually feel like friends, not just CGDCT friends-- which usually comes off as a lot more superficial and bland. They have their good and bad points in their friendship, and that makes their friendship flow really well. Sure, I'd like to see Yua react negatively to a little something here and there since Purin does tell her some pretty "mean" things, but at the same time I'm pretty sure Yua knows she's mostly bluffing or not as serious as she attempts to come off as. And man, I've been there... when you have a friend who seems to have so much talent and imagination but they seemingly don't do anything with it. It's frustrating. I'm glad that Purin is recognizing that the DIY club is still a perfectly suitable outlet for Yua to utilize her talents though and I'm especially glad she's on board to help her even more directly and share that outlet. Very nice.

Pudding has officially joined the DIY club. Now all the members are present, the girls start building their tree house. Honestly, I wish they would've shown the building process more instead of just still images showing progress. But I can understand the reason behind that decision. I don't think the girls can actually carry those logs. They look too thick and heavy for their skinny arms. They actually sacrifice some woods from the clubroom which is a memento from the first generation just like that. Savages.

Welcome to the DIY club, Purin! ^_^

Now with Purin being the second unofficial member of the DIY club, the plans for the secret hideout could get underway at full speed. It was fun to see how hard working the girls were with the construction, with the TAB's being put into place by Rei's own parents to get things going, as it plays a big role in keeping the secret hideout level and stable.

However, they did hit a small hiccup where they didn't have enough materials for the roof. Thankfully, the nearby woodpecker actually hit something for once by pecking the club room itself, which gave the girls the idea, with approval from the club supervisor, to rip up some of the floor boards inside the club room to use as the roof of the secret hideout.

A great episode overall and one filled with too many EX ranked smiles from both Serufu and Purin all throughout the episode. =D

Finally the tsundere Purin has joined the club (and it only took until the 11th episode...). Her pouty faces are cute but she looks better when she smiles. It was funny when both Takumi and Serufu coughed when Kokoro requested for Rei to bake her cookies again and poor Jobko not realized that those cookies are under-baked lol.

I kind of don't understand why they're using wood from their clubhouse but I guess the thought could be that they need to complete the roof and can patch up the areas of the clubhouse later? Anyways, there's one remaining episode left and I hope that they finish the treehouse and show them enjoying it.

I know this too late but I gotta say after watching this ep I find the whole treehouse plan is unnecessary. It felt like they don't really have a purpose especially since they build it next to their clubhouse. And the fact that they took some of the materials from the clubhouse and use it for the roofs is very weird

Ah, if the next episode is the LAST episode of the series, I'm going to be ruined. I can already see them completing the tree house, Jobko having to leave, Purin and Yua's friendship being reminiscent of when they were younger and the last shot being of the tree house but like 10 years later or something! Hopefully I'm wrong and we get another 12 but I'm not sure exactly how.... I guess I'll have to wait and find out!!
