Lol, Nazuna is so adorable this episode but some of her scenes with Kou particularly stood out. In contrast, that detective Anko Uguisu is someone to watch out for.

Every time she comes into the pictures, it seems she's after something. Run Kou, run as fastest as you can!

The way last episode turned out, it's no wonder not only someone like Mahiru for whom it was the first encountering such a situation but even Ko got really worked up. To the point where he’s having second thoughts about the whole becoming a vampire thing, well kinda saw this coming given he never really gave a concrete thought over the whole thing, I mean what to expect from a 14 year old anyways. That conversation with Mahiru just agitated his insecurities.

Nazuna licking Ko’s scar was such a tease, though too bad things ended up in a stalemate over the vampire thing. Also obviously meeting Anko made the already messed up situation more messy, not only did he get a life threat from her if he keeps getting himself involved with the vampires but is even on the verge of losing his precious night outs from here on lol. Really his luck suffered some big time this episode.

Damn, Ko must've been through a nightmare from the events of the last episode, that now he faces a natural resistance against vampires. But Nazuna is different, and both take a walk in the night to talk things out. And even so, Ko must compress the fear so that he will not relent emotionally.

Haha, Ko joining Mahiru in his advent to pick up girls, certainly took him for a ride. But the nightmare that's the vampire gone out of control that attacked Akira, even Mahiru is having second thoughts that becoming a vampire will only lead to ruin. This is supplement to their bond of friendship, and with the latter's questions, Ko, for the first time, really feels like his intention to become a vampire has to back up with his own thinking cap.

Nazuna going to Ko's apartment for the very first time, and she's even more wild than she was in her own. But the question still has to be raised, and with all the factors going for and against Ko, he still wants to experience the night life, but now without the whole vampirism angle. Nazuna also comes clean with her reasons why, and for a sudden moment, doing a kabedon with Nazuna licking his scar, that's a degenerate tast alright xD

Ko's meeting with Anko again, and it's scary how her speculation deduction is of Ko's personal details, whether true or false. The same question thrown to the detective, and aside from her straightforwardness, her spanky personality along with that deduction, is a killer combo that puts Ko on resistance mode. And whatever Ko's emotion is, he stays true to his guns and disagrees with Anko, which she pulls a literate life-threatening blackmail on him.

At this point, Ko is out of options, out of answers and most certainly, out of time.
His lifesaver was surprising: fellow vampire Hatsuka, and how would she help him get out of this ditch?

Why are you asking a manga question when it's the anime? And no, it's not the final episode.

10 years is a long time to live if you wanted to die as a human being. Ko being noticed lol. But Mahiru's points about the reason for wanting to be a vamp is a very valid one given recent events. It was cute seeing Nazuna act like she did in Ko's room. Now that was quite the creative scene to allow Ko to be on top. Akira sure has done her job well in looking into Ko. But her switch from joking to serious vampire hunter really is chilling. But while somewhat lost it looks like he might be able to get some answers from Hatsuka.

Great episode! Ko decides to go see Nazuna and she wanted to have some blood but he pushed her away instinctively. He told her about what happened with Anko whilst going for a walk.
He apologises for earlier and lets Nazuna suck his blood this time xD.
Ko can't keep his eyes off the OPPAI lol.
Mahiru asks him what he wants to do as a vampire.
But Ko doesn't seem to really understand himself...
Later, Nazuna comes over to Ko's room and she certainly was on the lookout for some stuff xD.
Ko still doesn't understand the reason he wants to be a vampire and Nazuna tells him that the realty is that being a vampire is boring. Once you get used to the fun you have at night, it becomes ordinary.
She is about to leave for the day when Ko accidentally falls on top of her on the bed!
She doesn't kiss him but licks his neck lol.
Ko calls Anko and they meet up. She was angry he didn't invite her on a date xD.
But of course, she knows he wants to talk about vampires.
She knows a lot about Ko! Apparently it's all just speculation though...
She tells him that after all this time that he hasn't fallen in love, he hasn't become a vampire so perhaps he just doesn't have it in him to become one.
Anko is a scary person...
She says she will kill all the vampires and if Ko becomes one, he is no exception...
Anko reports Ko to the police and tells them that he is a young boy who has been wandering around at night...
I HATE YOU ANKO!
Whilst hiding in a slide, Hatsuka notices him!

Looking forward to the next episode!

Wow the plot’s really getting thick here at the end. The detective raises some really interesting points about becoming a vampire.

I actually did think nazuna would kiss ko there ngl. Definitely tricked me lol.

I love how the nights now look darker and less bright as if they’re showing Ko slowly accepting the reality of the situation. Realistically they were probably never bright to begin with, but because ko was in his honeymoon phase with nazuna he perceived them that way.

Next week obviously can’t wrap everything up so here’s to hoping for a second season.

Well true the question of becoming a vampire and if he's able to bear with it despite the difficult aspects is something, but that detective is starting to get annoying... though Hatsuka at the end I wonder how she'll help him, if she does.

It'll be interesting to see how this wraps up next week since, obviously, this is an ongoing story.

Miyuki Sawashiro might not show up as often with anime as I would like recently (especially with bigger roles), but her performance today as Anko (as well as the previous week) reminds me well of why she's my favorite Japanese anime voice actress to listen to. She was fantastic and worked so well for Anko's character and unique personality here in her confrontation with Yamori.

I love the fact how this show just isn't a 2 dimensional and actually has serious topics and tries to take on situations that would occur rin real life. Such as humans would obviously kill vampires since we are apex predators and there can only be 1. Also does anyone know whta chapter this episode left on?

Ko has to learn to look more discreetly. I don't blame him though, damn.

The amount of information Anko has on Ko is scary but also pretty funny haha. She's here to cause trouble but I can't help but like her with that voice.

It was hilarious how the first thing Nazuna did as soon as she entered Ko's room was to look for porn lol. She looked so cute lying on his bed. And then we got serious. Even for a normal person, life can get boring so I can see how it can be especially true for a vampire.

I liked how the once colorful and bright night turned dark, more normal after his talk with Nazuna.

Seems like it's Hatsuka's turn for the last episode. Hopefully it won't really be the last.

I'm appreciating that we're getting more to the bone of this vampire society/rules they follow, and while the detective kind of rubs me the wrong way, she makes a pretty great antagonist to Ko's goals.

Good lord, that's one scary detective. I wonder if she's a government agent by any chance or just an independent detective. Also, the first time we hear about and see Ko's house, his family situation certainly answers how he is able to roam at night without any repercussions within his family so far. He's definitely stuck in a tough place here, the vampires on the one hand, and this detective on the other. Although there's a way to keep himself safe from the vampires, I highly doubt they don't have counter-measures prepared.

Kou now has a lot to consider when it comes to becoming a vampire, thanks to Mahiru’s words and definitely what all Anko has said. I really liked his moments with Nazuna in this one, it was goofy at first but quickly got serious once the discussion of vampires came up, and I loved the end of the bit where he fell onto her on the bed, the classic blunder lol. And the bit with Anko at the end was awesome, she’s really good at keeping it lighthearted by teasing Kou and then immediately stressing the dangers of Kou’s situation, and to put the cherry on top she calls the cops lol, I wonder if she played up how dedicated the cops would be to finding him tho. Still, love that detective lol, and Hatsuka shows up at the end, a nice little cliffhanger before the final episode.

And with one more episode left, this has without a doubt been one of the best shows this season, I’ve really enjoyed the comedy and SoL up to this point and now that the plot is kicking in I’m really enjoying it now as well, I really hope we can get another season of this!

It's like we're seeing a different side of the night now. The night can feel like freedom and unlimited fun, but it can also be eerie and haunting. Kou is shaping up to be a pretty great main character, and Anko is really growing on me. Very nice visual direction in those last few minutes, impressive stuff.

God damn so many good moments in this episode!

Kou just hugging Nazuna and just asking to let it happen. So good.

The bedroom scene. God Damn...Hot.

Anko...what a perfect antagonist. She legit called the police on him lol.

Weird seeing Suzushiro at the end...wonder where that will lead.

manga is on chapter 140 or something like that and updates fairly regularly. the anime is on chapter 40-45ish i believe. so probably two more seasons of material there already and if the mangaka keeps the pace up i think the manga updates probably outpace how fast the anime can be produced so it could run for quite awhile if everything stays on pace.

on a different note they UHHHH... picked a pretty weird spot to end this season on with the next episode being kou meeting up with hatsuka. not really going to feel much like a season finale unless im misremembering anything important happening. fingers crossed season two is on the way soon.

Since last episode I'm very interested in this tone shift the series kinda took that came with the introduction of the detective. It adds a new layer that I'm really liking and am curious about where it will lead to. I also enjoyed the whole thing with Ko questioning his dream and his interactions with both Nazuna and the detective during the episode. I'm not one to write much so this may all sound very messy or too simple of a review, but I just needed to express how much I'm liking this show and the direction it's taking.

Existential crisis ep for Yamori, the vampire incident has left a mark on the trio. Mahiru being a friends wants Yamori out due to concern for him, and Yamori himself is now second guessing himself. Yamori being obviously still spooked finds Nazuna for a hug which was nice and a good show of faith.

I for real felt Yamori panicking as a ticking time bomb Nazuna digs through his place. Nazuna shows her views on being a vampire and that not everything is a positive about the freedom cus it'll eventually get old which was interesting. Shit also gets fruity af as somehow all the stars align to perfectly set the mood for Yamori and Nazuna .

Anko has one of the wildest characters. She has such interesting choice of words while her personality can be so straightforward and flirty, mix that personality in with something like discussing a serious topic and it makes you wonder if she's joking or not, before also being able to full speed into one of the most intimidating, but also kinda hot, characters. Literally left Yamori permanently on the defensive while bouncing between whispering sweet nothings into his ear and a choice between life and death.
While Yamori speaks his positive interactions with vampire, we learn Anko's views on them which seem to contrast. While Yamori has had maybe but 1 or 2 minor bad interactions with vampires and 1 major one, he still seems them as people that have their own likes, dislikes and emotions. We don't know about Anko's back ground with vampires, but considering she's a detective, i'm assuming she would have a overall negative view on vampires, only seeing the bad apples that negatively affect humans such as kidnappings. While both are on the opposite sides of the spectrum, i feel like both haven't had a proper view of the opposing sides perspective.

Another good entertaining episode! It was funny seeing how Nazuna reacted being in Kou's room, and that lick...

Anko is a seductive detective, I thought she was trying to seduce Kou although maybe she thought she could convince him to discard his want to be a vampire by flirting with him. At the end Hatsuka pops out of nowhere, perhaps she will assist Kou in helping him decide? Or maybe she'll remind/warn him of the consequences if he doesn't become a vampire, we'll see. One more episode to go and hopefully they announce season two soon after the finale.
