It's good that Slop leveling won the CR awards with such a power gap, Gaijin Weebs don't deserve good anime.

Shanks haki is on a whole other level!!!!
I'm interested in Wano's history and I'm surprised that my theory came true, I always thought that real wano was under ground and current Wano is on a Volcano. I'm glad my theory came true. So, Pluton is also not there where it's supposed to be.
Greenblue retrieving after knowing that Shanks is in wano as well. Uta is also there(just a glimpse of her hair). It was great to see top 4 members of SH chilling :)

I think wano will end on chapter 1058, marking as exactly 150 chapters of wano arc.

Last chapter: I will kill everyone

This chapter: Shanks izz here, I'm out lol

And Oda be like: Let the Calamities job against the new super powerful admiral > let Shankusus Haoshoku intimidate that guy

I literally screamed just from reading the spoilers, holy shit 👨🏻‍🦰🐐⚡

Well, Shanks basically saved the day. Ha, it was predictable that it would play out like this. There was no way a serious battle would take place. It was heavily implied that Luffy and co. would've won in an all out fight. And no shit, admirals are up there, but 1 vs several top tiers can't win.

Ancient Wano on the other hand is a post battle introduction no one expected, at least not quite the way it's designed with the walls and the country under water. Reminds a bit of W7 and Fishman Island. Opening the borders is indeed a literal act and it's linked to unleashing Pluton. I love Lore Piece.

On a side note. Jack most likely discovered the old Wano pre eating his Devil Fruit. Momo made it obvious that there's no reason for Yamato to stay.

Crew with the best balance overall and I'd say strongest Haoshoku user alive, but that has been obvious for a while.

I mean, we've known that Wano is on a volcano for a while now haven't we? We saw Mt. Fuji in the background when the Flower Capital was first shown like 4 years ago, and not so long ago we saw Kaido inside the lava chamber underneath Wano. So it was clear that there was a volcano on the island that naturally extended underneath it.

The whole Ryokugyu subplot feels so pointless. Why have him appear in Wano now when he was just going to reveal his abilities, get into a skirmish, and then get scared away by Shank's Haki? It wasted time that could've gone to other things. In particular, I'm pissed off that we still don't have the rest of the crew's bounties.

Oda had to introduce him at some point before the final war. This was a good opportunity to show his strength and to hype up Shanks some more. Two birds with one stone (and no, I don't think it made him look weak; unlike Lack he got some common sense) And relax, you will endure another week.

And the Admiral, what a garbage character for someone with such a great Devil Fruit power, this guy is even worst than Akainu and I'm safe to assume Greenbull is a corrupt one too -_-

All I have to say is EAT SHIT, you fascist Admiral, first by Momo and now Shanks

Also its REALLY NICE seeing Admiral's finally Ls now and this is why Yonkou are stronger then them, especially ones like Kaido, Whitebeard, Shanks and now Luffy.

Now next characters, I REALLY HOPE that we see the other bounties next chapters, including Yamato, sense Greenbull now knows she's The Daughter of Kaido.

Also find what happened to my Raven Haired Snake Goddess Boa Hancock, its pretty obvious she's fine, either she kicked Coby's ass or friends with him now, sense they both know Luffy.

Oh yeah, its pretty obviosus that Shanks was there to promote Film Red, but he was also there to flex on Greenbull and make him get lost, also I don't think Yamato got defeated, she was holding back for Momo

This chapter really made the Admirals seem weak lol. Ryokugyu was almost shitting bricks just from feeling Shanks' Haki from several kilometers away. Basically confirms that Yonko > Admirals.

And I just realized that this Shanks subplot was probably just designed as movie promotion for One Piece Red.

My favorite parts of the chapter were the old Wano and Pluton scenes. I really wish the whole chapter had focused on that tbh because watching the Scabbards vs Ryokugyu wasn't interesting. It just sucks that we still haven't seen a glimpse of Pluton even after all this time.

This chapter was so fire. The scene about the Pluton and Wano underwater was so cool. Including the Road Pone glyph. The fight with Green Bull was awesome. Momo showcasing his powers of the Dragon was awesome. Shanks showing up telling Green Bull to walk away or die. Green Bull was so chickening out was hilarious. Luffy watching with Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbei was awesome. Luffy knows who did the Haki which I am glad.

At this point Shanks' role in the story should just be to randomly appear and stop conflicts with his mere presence lol.

But man, I can't wait to see him fight for real one day. This dude stopped a war, and now sent an ADMIRAL running with his tail between his legs, by simply showing up. And he flexed his Haki from that far away because fuck it. Shanks really is THAT dude. Love how Luffy and the others were just chilling watching the fight too lol.

That lore with old Wano and finding the 3rd Road Poneglyph was dope too, all these questions and mysteries are slowly unraveling and I'm excited to learn more as the story pushes forward.

What an amazing Chapter

I mean , Shanks' bits aside (its fking hype but i dont wanna talk bout it rn)

"Open Wano Border" means destroying Wano ???

Like damn i cant believe it , wow , just wow

i thought Oden said that because he wanted to "reopen" Wano to the outside world or something

but he really said that LITERALLY lmao

and obviously i know he learned bout it during his journey

I mean , do Wano citizen have to be sacrificed for this shit ? i hope they can escape Wano safely

for me , it was so funny how aramaki was like "you're gonna die today" one moment before and then in the other moment he was like "imma gonna go Bye~~" Just because of THAT one guy I love how shanks just shows up and every fight just ends All the dude did was show him his haki and aramaki ran away lol

I'm impressed with how pathetic Ryokugyu is, I remember when he was first introduced in Marie Geoise and I was wondering what kind of beast he would be, then we were introduced to his DF that was also amazing, but his character is so disappointing, it is even weirder because Akainu most likely pick him to be an admiral and he is literally his fanboy

Proud of Momo, he's just getting better and better in managing his abilities. 🧡 At first I thought it was too risky of him telling Yamato and the others to stand back but now I see how passionate he is about maintaining his independent nature and overall legacy.

A step closer to Pluton. 👀

looking at this chapter now, it looks like the current Shanks is more powerful than Roger in his prime. I wonder how is he able to achieve such feat despite doesn't carry the name "D".
and now I also wondering how strong Silver Rayleigh right now, as he continue grow stronger even after retired.

Momonosuke became Kaido's wannabe, his looks would intimidate any enemy that want to harm Wano from now on.

On one hand, the Shanks flex was next level. Sometimes when your reading this manga you gotta stop and bask in the amazing moments Oda gives us. I can't think of any other story where the mentor is so consistently present, routinely is active in the story and aware of everything. Why would Shanks even know about a secret assassination attempt on Wano? Is it Haki, or something else?

My money is on Haki. Shanks being able to send his "Voice", is somewhat comparable to Katakuri knowing everything going on. Especially if you scale kenbunshoku haki to Yonkou level. But even that doesn't really make sense. I hope Oda gives us a proper explanation instead of an Aizen style, ridiculously cool claim that he planned everything Ichigo ever went through.

Can we all once again focus on how strong Mihawk was/is that Shanks couldn't beat him with both arms and presumably full power?! Oda is a full genius for tying Shanks and Mihawk together in so many ways. Rivals whose mentees are tied together is just one of tons of ways they are connected. If anything, it's almost impossible that all those ties will be paid off satisfactorily.

Which ties into the bigger problems with this chapter. Shanks getting this level of exposure for a movie almost certainly guaranteed to be meh is cheap cash grab. And as so many other users pointed out, now would be a much better time to further flesh out the world rather than give us a very cool anticlimatic fight. Especially if you see every OP chapter as Oda counting down to the end of the series.

OP readers are pretty loyal and taking a break from action for a solid month and just answering questions and exploring the story will not hurt OP. Whereas, pointless fights waste precious time in a manga we all know the author routinely cuts content for just to actually be able to bring it to an end. Think about the Yonkou bounty reveal chapter. That's actually a lower tier chapter compared to other revelation chapters of OP. For the record, I wouldn't change this chapter at all. I would just put it behind 4 chapters worth of explanation and adventure. This chapter would hit even harder then.

Your fans aren't going anywhere Oda. 5/5 chapter. Would highly recommend to others.

This chapter convinces me more that my theory about Yamato staying on Wano and becoming Momo's Consort is correct. (That's why he was aged 20 years so he could become the same physical age as Yamato.) Now he just needs some good training and he will become the leader that Wano needs. And having Yamato as his consort means that the Kaido pirates, who are now loyal to Yamato, will help to defend Wano.

It seems like Aramaki AKA Greenbull is here mainly for the usual Admiral introduction, but DAAAAAMN, Shanks is truly next level. His haoshoku haki alone has an immense reach, capable of petrifying a monstrously powerful individual. As expected of the man himself. Shanks' presence here means that he's watching Luffy's back as he always does.

Though even without him I'd say Luffy with his Yonko crew is more than enough capable of handling 1 navy admiral if not for Momo and the samurai for stepping in to fight in their stead.

Out of everything in this chapter, the lore drop is the craziest. Wano's border is a literal physical mountainous barrier that surrounds the entire island. And these barriers encapsulate the older Wano that has sunk after 800. Meaning that the water that surrounds present Wano... Isn't actually seawater, they're freshwater. It's just one massive lake! Within the sunken former Wano lays Pluton, one of the ancient weapons, no wonder why Momo decided that it's not time to open Wano's border just yet. Unleashing such a weapon is only suitable when absolutely necessary, like for the final battle against the World Government. Oden has already thought of that after his adventure with Whitebeard and Roger.

Anyways, what all this means is that the Strawhats are in possession of 3/4 road ponegliphs, effectively in control of 2/3 of ancient weapons, Poseidon (Shirahoshi) and Pluton (By Momo's authority), along with some of the most strategic islands in the world... Fishman Island, Wano, not to mention Dressrossa and any other islands that Bartolomeo conquer in Strawhat's name.
