Ever think you can get into HardFart, OxFart, or StandFart University?
Or all you can do is Standing straight, and make a Hard Fart sound from your Ox's ass? :^)

But seriously, which university you went, go, or plan to go to?
Why do you choose that university?

In MAL Rewrite, everyone is either a student or a lecturer in one of these universities. 'Tis hard to stand out there...

You can always apply for scholarships, and unless you are majoring in humanities, you do not need a very high English level to study in America or the UK (judging from your posts, I think that your English level is pretty good by the way). There are some graduate students in science who can barely speak English...

Thanks. I am studying more to better my english. Maybe I am going to try studying abroad if I continue with a masters after I finish my bachelors.

I chose PennState University since it was close to where I live, and the price is not uber outrageous.

The majority of people that I used to know in the past finished high education degrees and yet all of them end up with their own speculative businesses or in similar fields (nothing but liers and cash grabbers).

Hopefully, that so-called "education" by today's standards system dies soon, the world doesn't need any more "effective managers" and all other excel users.

I did not choose my university. My university chose me. It was the one I could go to. Not prestigious but it had good modern facilities. I did not finish my degree but I had a good time there.

Those fart trios are only successful in creating a facade that allures wealth and status seekers to engage in meaningless competition. They take full advantage of the shift of the dominant ideology from aristocracy to meritocracy, which enables them to sell the dream that you can escape your peasant status and become a noble through education. Because their primary motivation is to acquire massive income and status, they will continue to be a bunch of fakes. We could even draw a parallel between those people looking to enter elite universities with gold-diggers looking to marry the top riches. Sometimes things could get as ugly, just take a look at the varsity blues scandal or universities that are caught trying to manipulate the rankings.

I hope that there will be many more cases of dropouts becoming millionaires, so people will continue to lose faith in those crooked institutions and they become obsolete. The cherry on top would be when the professors are mass fired and struggled to find employment.

I would go to any that has Palaeontology courses, which isn't many in my Country. Portsmouth I would choose ideally though.

I actually signed up with the Open University though, and did a bunch of short Science courses, one of which was a Palaeontology course.

Interesting club, although to be honest, if you have enough members putting in that much work, you might as well make your own listing service instead of contributing to someone else's IP.

I got like a 168/164 on GRE after cramming vocab for 3 weeks. Looked into Stanford's masters program and it was like $60-70k. No thanks. I wouldn't do that even if I could get in.

These days almost anything can be learned online, we all know getting into uni such as those fart trios is only good for resume, not necessarily smart people goes there, and not necessarily loser cannot get into those farts

I could come up with defensible reasons for choosing the place I did for undergrad instead of other—supposedly more renowned—ones I was accepted to. The programme, degree options, graduation profiles, methodology, facilities, prestige, internationalization. The real reason is that I admired one of the faculty member's work, so I wanted to have a chance to learn from them. When the fated time came, their critique berating made me positive I had made the right choice. Seriously, I wish I could go through it for the first time again. I became way more well-rounded and polished than I would anywhere else at the time, I'm sure of that.

I haven't decided which University I want to go to for Postgraduate, I don't think I can get into those top universities but I won't let that discourage me. Comparison is the thief of joy.

Not anything. You're not going to have the resources to have access to a multi-million dollar laboratory that you'd have if you do research at a university. You won't have access to people with industry or (more importantly) government connections that grant you access to meetings to discuss future development, or allow you to conduct polling, etc., with a cohort. And while you could easily purchase Heidegger or Kripke books, you won't necessarily have the wherewithal to establish all of the context with supplementary readings and such. You might have to spend disproportionately the amount of time just figuring out what you'd need to get a full picture compared to just asking an expert on campus.

There are a lot of things you could do by yourself. Maybe even most things. But not everything.

I am very surprised that you had never heard of this club before. In fact, barely 10% of club members are active, but the point of the club is having synopses uploaded in a place where they get visibility. I doubt that many people would be willing to pay for those synopses, though many companies and websites stole synopses in the past...

Not gonna say which college I went to, since it's the nearest one to my house AFAIK, and, well, I'm secretive about even what country I live in, yet alone what general area, lol (plus, quite frankly, that Hellhole college doesn't deserve my publicity)

I wouldn't go anywhere near any of those "prestigious" universities. All universities are the same. They're like school but even worse. The only reason I went to college in the first place was because my parents forced me to (story as old as time, I know). I never wanted to go, and I regret not standing up for myself more and not refusing to go

I can wholeheartedly say that higher education is not worth the (incredibly miniscule) chance of getting a "better" job from graduating, IMO. I legit still have nightmares about simply just being in college, to this day. And I can all but guarantee that somewhere like Oxford, Stanford(?) and... whatever HardFart is... would just be even worse than the no-name hack college that I attended

I learned absolutely nothing in the 3 months that I somehow managed to endure, and it made me an overall more bitter, cynical, and unhappy person than when I entered

I could've probably tried Tokyo University (doesn't rhyme with fart), but it was too far from my home and the gym, so it was a hard pass for me. Besides, it would've meant finding new friends, new gym friends (that's an oxymoron, cause everyone there is competition, but you get the idea, I hope), new sex friends, and all that. A person needs priorities.

Why would I go to those western universities if I can go to polish ones which are also good... ? Especially that here in Poland we make fun of the Us universities cause of the stuff they teach them (each field and each subject make fun of them, never heard of any exceptions, no one will tell you that directly but that's the reality) so considaring this, I am more likely to not go for these universities x). [Exception is the Oxford as we don't laugh at europeans universities, at least not in majority.]

I chosed mine cause it is the 2nd/3rd best university for history field in Poland + I didn't have history advanced level on my highschool and Matura exam so only at Poznań I could get accepted where I am right now. Would I change my university for Jagielonka or Warsaw university? I don't think so, even if they are considered as better, I've already made friends and buddies here + I know the city well so I wouldn't change the city just for last semester/master degree studies.

If I would decide for exchange international, if there would be possibility I would probably try to go for 1-3 months to university at Paris or at Tokyo (mainly because of the country not because of the universities x) ).

Fart is a gas so there's no texture to feel if it's actually hard so HardFart is not real.
OxFart sounds like the institute of smelling fart from animals, I don't think smelling animal fart is okay for me. But I don't judge if you are into that, I simply don't care much.
I'll go with StandFart because farting in front of a sitting random is just too fun. I would enroll on that one there is an university like that.

I just chose whatever was affordable for me. TBH, I wasn't all that into school - I'm better working with my hands.

I got decent grades through college and superb grades in my post-grad courses...but once I got into post-grad, it felt like US higher education was "empty". I never got to get my hands dirty...everything was writing papers and studying out of texts. It got boring and it didn't sit right with me that a degree is just a fancy piece of paper with no real experience behind it. Got strait A's and perfect GPA in my grad school...but dropped it b/c it felt "fake".

Maybe I'm a fool, stubborn, or have a weird sense of logic - but it didn't make me feel any smarter or better staring at texts all day long.
