Third's nice too, just that some of the tracks are hit or miss - mostly hit, of course, and have never fluctuated in quality. a common take, but glory box made Beth's vocal charm most prominent. and interestingly, tricky used the same sample too.
[...] it always has been inertia creeps just because it's so erotic
fair enough, but that'd have to be black milk! speaking of erotic (and sinister), this just crept up my memory. i wager you've seen the film, too. queen of the damned is a guilty pleasure haha, but yeah, the soundtrack was undeniably its biggest appeal.
also, i just realized that we had previous conversations before. did you have a previous username?
godflesh, hell yeah! streetcleaner and pure are my favorites, but i agree, you can never go wrong with any of their album. i'm currently listening to chemlab, the first track, Exile On Mainline, oddly reminded me of Prodigy's Breathe. cool stuff, i'm liking it so far. as for portishead, Dummy and Self-titled are easily my top shelves. you need to look into massive attack (mezzanine album), they're a tandem.
if you're up for ost recommendation, i recommend Dorohedoro - it's worth trying just for the tracks alone, like this and this. i'd also recommend the queen of the damned ost, it's a variety of artists that're familiar to you i'm sure. i should also mention i'm into melodic ones, like this although its more of alt metal:
mostly alt and industrial rock, then there's trip-hop (massive attack, portishead), jazz and ambient. if i need to feel an extra oomph, orchestral classic/osts are immediate picks. so, do i pass?
