Lol, that sleeping scene featuring Kawai and the other two ladies were priceless.

Not an unusual case this time but those sketches...I think this episode somehow ended up being a comedy. Quite an amusing episode really.

Wel drawing a sketch is hard drawing a sketch from a description is even harder and people who make those witness sketches must be really skilled at drawing.
That Maki managed to draw something like that is already impressive.

The sleeping part was funny tho i do feel bad for Maki and her smell, hope she can get a shower soon.

Welp, a full day of patrolling can be draining for a police officer, but for Kawai to find Fuji and Makitaka sleeping on the same bed in the bunk room, that's quite the shocker to pull off all-nighters.

For Kawai to get a good sleep...only to smell cannabis from the both of them after a seizing case, it's as pungent as poppy leaves, but can make you sleep. The actual case though is the typical witness evidence collection, and extra protection birth from family values, and Hinamoto smittens yet another lady whose values influence under. Since Makitaka couldn't get a facial composite from Maki, Fuji...is not a viable choice, so Kawai's the next best choice even as a gag joke. Better have a caricature class for drawing composites for policemen and women.

The same case continues with the high school girl's assault case, with Akira being the only witness, and now Kawai must sketch a facial composite to jog his memories of the culprit. The way of Akira's translation to Kawai's drawing...it's definitely fit for a sketch artist rhapsody between Maki and Kawai. As the pieces come together, Kawai's sketch feels more unpolished and deviated (while being funny) while Maki has got it spot on.

Maki got 75% while Kawai got 40% closeness, better luck next time for a try on credit. The good thing is that Kawai's rough sketch leads them to their culprit, with all the crime modus operandi to match. Finally, they have their man, and they're ready to go into the next stage of the investigation.

The re-enactment investigation...am I thinking of who's return?

For anyone who ask if this anime is Yuri or not, this episode is the closest they can get. I want to see Yamada sleeping with Minamoto in the same bed too!

This episode breaks tradition, instead of many stories per episode as usual, this single story requires two episodes.

Poor Kawai had to provide a sketch based the description given by the witness, but at least they are close to finding the person involved in assaulting a high school girl even though Kawai's sketch was 40% accurate.

Great episode! Kawai was scared when she found out Fuji and Maki were sleeping in the same bed but she was invited in as well since she was tired xD. However, Maki stunk like cannabis since she had to work on a case involving it yesterday lol. Minamoto's sweet way of talking was effective as always to the mum of the boy who saved a girl from an old man attacking her. The boy also remembered every detail of how he looked xD. They also couldn't allow Maki in the front part of the room with the boy to draw a sketch of what the person looked like because she smelled so much like cannabis so had to ask Kawaii instead lol. Kawai's drawing of the thick lips took up half the page! Kawai's drawing actually was helpful though as it led the investigators to think the culprit was Daijiro Yasuda who they arrested several years ago for indecent assault.

Looking forward to the next episode!

It stinks? Bed + weed are a heavenly combo, tho.

But I guess they can't feature police officers enjoying the situation xD

They're lying about the weed part it doesn't stink they just don't want Japanese people to smoke it.
Kawai doesn't have drawings skills but she has intelligence and insight, really interesting situation, I hope that they will catch this criminal

I kinda felt sorry for Maki as she felt embarrassed for smelling like cannabis since she was in the evidence room for so long,s o I can't blame her for the way she reacted when multiple of her colleagues reacted of the smell on her in surprise and disgust.

Still, I was rather amused to see her, Fuji and Kawai all share the bottom bunk bed in the nap room. It was awkward at first, but eventually they all fell asleep for a short while. =)

Either way, they were all summoned to help with an assault case, which lasted for the whole episode and it seems like it'll continue into the next episode, too. Kawai's artistic talent may leave a lot to be desired, but her perception was very strong and it helped the team identify the potential culprit involved in the assault.

I look forward to seeing how the rest of the investigation into this case goes next time. =D

Loved this episode, the first half involving the nap room was great, got some nice yuri bait out of it, and Kawai finds out how easy it is to fall asleep when you’re that tired, also Makitaka smelling like weed for the entire episode was funny lol, but felt bad that she kept getting called out for it and the fact she smelt that way to begin with, I don’t smoke personally and also don’t like the smell lol.

The 2nd half was hilarious, I always wondered how police sketches were done and while it was interesting, it was also very funny seeing Kawai’s drawing compared to Makitaka’s, although it did ultimately help identify a possible suspect and I actually like Kawai’s rendition too lol, the fact she could create 40% closeness is great already. I’m also happy to say this isn’t the 2nd to last episode, according to mal we got two more weeks, hell yeah! And this was also the first time a case has been cut into two episodes, nice change of pace. Lastly I’m happy to see more Makitaka, was missing her for a while.

Plenty of cannabis stinks and the police obviously doesn't want someone permeated with any sort of heavy odor distracting a key eyewitness.

To me weed doesn't smell that bad, fair enough maybe that's because I live in a third-world country that has soil everywhere I go.

They had Kawai do a serious police sketch, how could this NOT be a banger episode? Even the side jabs were on point.

This series is pretty good at handling the darker stuff, but I think this was the best ep at striking a balance with the comedy. Manages to keep up a constant stream of jokes, while not making light of the case.

Aye yo, that cliffhanger had me shook. Really surprised that the credits were rolling, when the case wasn't even finished yet. Great episode!

Feels good to see Kawai be enthusiastic about work, I wonder if she'll ride the momentum and pursue being the sketch artist for the station. The sketching scene with the high school kid was hilarious, but massive respect to the kid for saving the girl.

Minamoto, still the milf magnet I see. Poor Maki though, being mocked for her weed stench throughout the episode lmao. Looking forward to part 2 of this episode.

poor makitaka had to go through all those "WOAH! YOU STINK OF CANNIBIS!". i also just found out that cannibis refers to weed lol

kawai unexpectedly has a good set of skill of sketching suspects from description. i hope we can see her do more of it

i wonder what that "reenactment" meant tho? def not the hs girl doing it but im wondering who the "her" is

I was surprised to see Director Fuji and Director Makitaka in the same bed, but I wanted to sleep, so I lay down there and was forced to sketch, so this is my favorite episode.

Let's bully poor Maki-chan - the episode.
Also weed doesn't really "stink" but ok.

Oh, and that high-school boy has the patience of a saint, btw.

Woah its about time your little poor Kawai get used to the harshness of police lifes, had more guts to bully her senior, and become more useful than several episode before. Maybe because its already reaching the end? Sad fact but oh well.

This time, its about how three adult women trying to enjoyed their little time taking a nap at those crampy bed. Then how cannabis was so damn smelly there (i believe on you, anime). And for the last, how talented Kawai to draw a sketch. Though, idk if its a very talented one or just being lucky when Kawai manage to guess what the boy mean with her draw and Fuji successfully connect the dots over her kohai finding. After all, its might also relate to how jaded Kawai soul was. So all abilities she got properly poured out on that occasion.

Reenactment again. Lets see if Kawai had something to do with those investigation. I just wish she's okay in the end, after all that overworking xd...

40% is more than 0% chance and that's all Kawai needs with her bad drawing skills and unorthodox way of asking a witness for details came in handy in identifying the bastard.

Kawai's mind: Fuji's engaging in a workplace romance (and it isn't with her) lmao

The gag of Makitaka "stinking" of weed throughout the episode was probably to discourage Japanese viewers from trying it.

They really need to host some drawing classes. Some commentary on government institutions always being like "we'll get round to it", exaggerated to extend back into the Edo period.

Kawai is behind Maki on drawing skills but she was the only one to pick up on the fact that the assaulter's eyes would be larger if he noticed that there was a witness, so in a different scenario, the suspect's eyes wouldn't look like as described. Finding the suspect is a team effort.
