| I would say Neon Genesis Evangelion is the most popular series I disliked and still do dislike the most and I have no real desire to ever revisit it in any capacity, so I won't. I can't stomach either Shinji or Asuka or so many of the choices made with the series that it was just an infuriating experience more than anything. I have it rated as a 6, but my personal enjoyment level throughout was at about a 3 or less. One of the only series ever, anime or otherwise, to inspire such a visceral negative reaction in me. And I'm just plain not interested in watching: - Most battle shounen - Most high school romcoms - Most ecchi and/or harem - Most comedies - Most sports series which also kind of overlap with long-running battle shounen I dropped 3-gatsu no Lion, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Psycho Pass, Claymore, Dr. Stone, and Shinsekai yori and felt justified and right. I absolutely adore and cherish Elfen Lied, Aku no Hana, and Kodomo no Jikan, and consider any and all of the most frequently levied criticisms against them as very narrow-minded and invalid. |

| I cannot get into Gintama to save my fucking life. I just am not into that comedy at all. And I don't hate it or think it's bad but One Piece has kind of lost all my interest. After the timeskip something about it became so bulky to read and watch that it feels like such a chore but I read pre-timeskip probably more than 3 times. As for likes. I don't think it's hated or anything but I weirdly still have a soft spot for Junjou Romantica. I go back and read it every couple years and exhale like puffing on nicotine. Like I'm getting older AND YET. |

| My most controversial favorite is that my favorite manga is Nisekoi. EVen though I know it's objectively not the best written, I just love it. For disliking, tho, I don't like a few really popular shows. Attack on Titan, Angel Beats!, or Yona of the Dawn. I gave all of them a 5 or lower because they were just either poorly done or boring in my opinion. |

| I don't like old animation style (before 2000), likely because dull colors don't appeal to me. Garden of Sinners movie 1 is the oldest anime I would call beautiful. I think overly critical part of anime community undervalues the entertainment factor. I consider an anime good if it's successful at making me excited or hyped.
