P.S. Kyoto Animation is the best anime studio
I personally believe that no anime/manga or just media in general should receive a 1/10, and unless it is truly appalling (looking at a certain blond hair kid with vanilla ice cream), it should have at least one redeeming quality of some sort. This is how I generally score my animes/mangas.
10 (Masterpiece) Animes/Mangas that have received this score are ones that I personally cherish a lot due to how captivating it was for me, let it be the story, characters, or the themes to which I can say are my absolute favorites with my heart. 9 (Great) Animes/Mangas that have received this score are ones that has exceeded my expectations for what an anime/manga should be, let it be how the story was executed to how likable the characters were. 8 (Excellent) Animes/Mangas that have received this score are ones that lived up to my expectations for what an anime/manga should be, with only some flaws to it. Otherwise, a great watch/read. 7 (Good) Animes/Mangas that have received this score are ones that were enjoyable to watch, but contained some aspects and/or flaws that I didn’t like about it. Otherwise, I enjoyed watching/reading it. 6 (Fine) Animes/Mangas that have received this score are ones that I found that had a decent premise to it, but the execution for it was rather disappointing with some obvious flaws that made it not as enjoyable as it should’ve been. Not something I would recommend watching/reading unless you need something to pass time with. 5 (Average) Animes/Mangas that have received this score are ones I found to be average at the best due to how it was executed, let it be the characters to the story itself, but did have some redeeming qualities. Wouldn’t recommend it in general. <5 (Subpar to horrendous) Animes/Mangas that have received these scores are ones that I found absolutely horrendous to watch/read with little to no redeeming qualities due to how poorly it was executed, to the point where it feels like a joke. Definitely won’t recommend it.

Totally fair take regarding collecting manga, I do feel a bit bad sometimes just leaving them standing in my bookshelf, but I do really enjoy collecting manga, I've semi-actively collected since I was about 15 or so. Though nowadays I mostly just collect my favorites. I just like the feeling of knowing that I own my favorite media in an age where platforms can lose licensing and thereby no longer have access to it. I can't say I necessarily often revisit stuff that I've already read, but I've been trying to do so more often. I also just kinda find physical books easier to focus on, that, combined with the cover art often being nice, makes it worth it for me.
Regarding your question, yes, ideally, I would really like to specialise in shark science, but I've heard that that field is quite competitive with how limited the funding is and because of that, it's apparently quite hard to get into and has quite a low success rate. Even so, if I just end up working with only general marine biology, I would still be really happy with that.
ah yeah samee, it's been ages since I last watched stuff regularly. I watched a bit of Ippo a couple years ago and loved it so far, I should try getting back into it again someday. the other 2 sound pretty interesting too. and yeah I can relate, I prefer consuming a heap at once rather than just 1 chapter or episode at a time. sorry for the late reply, hope youre doing good
Okay, I'll tell you about the things I remember. To begin with, I think it's fitting that I should start with the figures I bought. I ended up buying four figures, plus a Gojo figure that my friends helped me win from a claw machine. The four figures I bought were a Frieren figure and a Himmel figure that were part of a set, a Makise Kurisu(Steins; Gate) figure, and a Kusuriuri(Mononoke) noodle stopper (though I don't plan on using it, so it's sort of just sitting on the edge of my bookshelf). Also, sidenote, all the figures I bought were second-hand, so it didn't end up being all too expensive. Don't remember if I mentioned in it in the earlier messages, but we did visit several different pokecenters throughout our travel so naturally I ended up buying a bunch of pokemon stuff, some things I got were a couple plushies of my favorites, a really cool Reuinclus bag, and of course I also bought a bunch of pokemon cards. The two last singular things I bought were a japanese copy of Pokémon Platinum that my friend helped me buy and the Somali and the Forest Spirit OST on CD. I did also buy a bunch of Japanese manga volumes, but talking about each of those would make this WAAAY too long, so instead I'll just name a few that I think are cool/interesting. The second volume of Dororo((the one from the 60s), the Purple Haze backstory light novel, an English volume of Slam dunk, the first volume of Orb, and the first volume of Boy's Abyss, which I only really bought because I thought the cover looked cool(Have never actually read it or even really heard about it more than it's supposed to be pretty good). The rest are pretty much just the first volumes of some of my already favorite manga just because I thought it would be cool to have them.
As for why I want to do marine biology, it's just like you said, I have a really big interest in the ocean and as well as the creatures within it. I have had the interest for sea creatures ever since I was a child, which started from me just being really into sharks, and over time it developed into a general fascination for the ocean.
Regarding Gundam, I will be sure to send you a message if I end up watching it.
Not sure if you meant just general souvenirs or just from the exhibit, but at the exhibit, I ended up purchasing a Megumi-themed tote bag, a deck of playing cards, and a small pack of stickers(If you want to hear about stuff outisde of the exhibit that I ended up buying I'm more than happy to tell, I made A LOT of "interesting" financial choices to say the least lol).
Ah, okay, I see, so respiratory stuff, sounds interesting. As of right now, I'm not really doing anything in particular, just sort of trying to find a job. However, in the semi-near future, I plan to study marine biology.
I can't say for sure that I will end up giving Gundam a go in the near future, but if I decide to do so, what would you say is the best place to start?
I took a break from online and focused a lot on myself. Don't really want to go back to discord quite yet but i just wanna let you know im alive and well :D I hope the best for you too!
