So next episode is some kind of class reunion. I reckon it will be the reunion between Kumoko and Sophia rather than the class reunion in the present, which will probably come in a couple more episodes. |

Will they show the second time later or is not important to the overall story? A quite good episode, but I was disappointed that Sophia's father (the "Lord of the area") and his butler mentioned Kumoko killing all the (human) bandits around the town and somehow forgot to point out the elephant in the room : the three very dead Elves inside their own freaking house (just outside their bedroom actually) that were disguised as bandits but were actually assassins sent to kill all of them. Kumoko did not only kill some random bandits (kidnappers of children hired by Potimas and spies of the Followers of the Word) but saved the asses of the Lord, his wife and their baby a second time and somehow that wasn't worthwhile to mention when they discussed whether she was a threat? Really? In this episode we also found out why Sophia 14 - 15 years later was so eager to kill Potimas (killed ridiculously fast and easily, by the way, despite his suggestion in this episode that he was some kind of OP big shot who could take on either Ariel or the Pontiff but not at the same time...); apparently she later found out that he was the one who gave the order to assassinate her and her family since she was a baby. In the next episode I wonder what that "class reunion" will entail; if it's in the past it will almost certainly be between Kumoko and baby Sophia, but if it's in the present it will apparently involve the irritating (just because he checks all the boxes of the "typical Hero trope") Hero and his party.. My guess is it will be in the past. |

This kind of story telling is so shit, I wish they can separate first half dedicated entirely for Kumo and second half entirely for Shun instead of going from A to B back to A then B again and ends with A. It's so fucking shit. It's already made known that they are both separate time period, so why keep mixing them up? It's confusing, serves nothing, and most importantly it doesn't allow the story to flow smoothly. Kinda shit to get world building info dumped on us that most likely will be useless based on where the story is going too. I get it, it's relevant in the future, but holy shit it's fucking useless now where the focus of the story isn't even nearly there. Shun is barely developed, and I don't even wanna talk about the rest of them because they are worse than Tenten from Naruto. I wish this series can be done differently where things can be rearranged to make the story more coherent and flows better. I didn't mind the human side of the story but as of late it's making the story turn from a solid 8 to 6. |

Many people here are bored with the human plots, but this is a complicated story, much like the events in real life, which happen separately but also connect at some point (conflict, resolution, revelation, feelings etc.). If it was only Kumoko's point of view, the world building would have been much more limited. Stories like "Solo Leveling" which only concern themselves with the journey from minimal to OP stats get real boring real quick. You either have to dive much more dipper into main character, which will become boring for anime watchers and manga readers, or develop several plots in parallel, which wouldn't have to rely so much on character development and will have more action. Jumping from plot to plot and from timeline to timeline is irritating, but it serves another point -- this story is a puzzle you have to constantly try and connect by yourself. It doesn't explain it all right away to keep you engaged, guessing what is going on. It is not for everyone and this is what makes it better than many other stories, which try to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Don't get me wrong, it's not a highly intellectual story nor it is a literature masterpiece, but it is still a few steps above the average schlock. You miss the big portion of the story if you only interested in Kumoko. Human side does gets more boring and is less appealing, but it is partly because Kumoko is the protagonist, and naturally she is more developed and more interesting. The other reason is that bad 2D animation makes the hero and other humans look like expressionless wooden dolls and not like real characters you would care about. Every time I see Shun react to something, it feels uncomfortable and even disturbing. So yes, there is that also. |

That's not necessarily true. Based on the web novel, what you're seeing in Kumoko's past timeline is just that-the past. When Kumoko's future timeline begins, she should provide far more information pertaining to the events in question. You're trying to insist that the humans future timeline is better than Kumoko's past timeline without recognizing that you should eventually receive Kumoko's future timeline. To be fair though, we cannot be certain Kumoko's future timeline will be adapted into the anime. |

What a fantastic episode! The world building was so good this episode, so from what I am seeing there's like 3 big leaders of the races. We got Dustin for the humans, Potimas for elves and then Ariel for the demons, shit's all coming together. Pretty fucking hilarious though how serious all the other sides are and then when we shift to Kumoko, hilarity ensues. I really really badly want to finally get to continue reading the LN volume 2, just need time. Also really nice to see Sophia's and her family's POV. Our Kumoko is now a God lmao, while the real divine beast is having a breakdown in the lower stratum lmao. Judging by the name of the town Sariella, the God they are worshiping is Sariel and Ariel was her spider partner, that's really cool. I am really looking forward to the next episode. |

It is around this stage in the novel I stopped caring about Kumoko as a character and rather learnt to treat her as a plot driver. Mezzie voiced by TK? That's awesome! I do not know how this major re-ordering of events affect the plot, but let's hope it doesn't feel like a mess at the end. |

How on God's green earth do you call that concurrently??? Do you even understand the word concurrently? I doubt it. Just because it's a mystery doesn't mean it was well presented. It has been shit so far with red herrings that serve no purpose other than to misled viewers that serve literally nothing, means nothing, and will reveal nothing significant that will change the audience's perspective on the story. MegamiRem said: Kumoko just became a healer. So when does her revenge story starts lol? Pretty sure it already started since episode 3 of Human Side story (present 15 years later timeline) where she killed the "Hero". Since judging by the episodes afterward, Kumo's goal is to literally kill all Humans including any Reincarnates. Since in ep 17, her babies said the Humans are already dead anyways. (which now makes sense after someone mentioned in the LN, Kumo was a lot darker compared to the manga/anime... so Kumo is technically the "evil last boss" of this series) (In her past 15 years ago timeline, Kumo is basically like a newborn child that "doesn't know better" of the world around her since she was literally just thrown into it as a spider, so I guess some stuffs happened in that 15 years that caused Kumo to go psycho and wants to kill everyone, and we've already seen some of her skills that pretty much makes it so she doesn't give a fuck about killing people, if anything it's "fun to kill people") |

LOL, I dragged out the LN spoiler ppls I don't read the LN, but I did read the manga. And if you haven't noticed by now, everything I post I purposely post in a "anime only", so literally everything I post are spoiler-proof and only includes things that happens and is shown in the anime in a way where the reactions are based on just watching the anime. That's the whole reason why your "isn't paying attention" trying to correct me always runs into spoilers that you can't post. ___ ___ ___ Well, technically I also did just skim through some of the Human parts, since I am only interested in Kumo side of the story (why I read the manga and not the LN). So in a sense, your right, I wasn't paying attention to the Human side of the story. |

You're trying to insist that the humans future timeline is better than Kumoko's past timeline without recognizing that you should eventually receive Kumoko's future timeline. To be fair though, we cannot be certain Kumoko's future timeline will be adapted into the anime. I most definitely did not insist that the future or "human" timeline is more or less important. It is in fact quite the opposite. My point is that is one whole story -- trying to separate plot lines or characters on the basis of more or less "interesting" or "important" would hurt it immensely. The past plot-line is to develop the Kumoko as the protagonist, and to let us understand her motivations (and to some extend also other characters like Sophia or Ariel). The future/human plotline is the development of all the other reincarnations. This constant jumping between different points of view is quite expected, since the characters are separated. But not only they are separated in space, like in more traditional story-telling, they also separated in time, thanks to much more rapid growing rate of monsters (namely spiders) compared to the growing rate of humans/elves/vampires/etc. To make a one timeline story means to have Kumoko sitting on her behind for some 12 or more years, not doing anything. Which is quite ridiculous, if we are to take the premise of the story at least somewhat seriously. The other option would be following only the Kumoko's plot in chronological order, until the other reincarnations in the human realm are grown enough to have their plot-lines in parallel to hers. But that would be truly boring, to discover the mysteries of the world first with Kumoko, and then again, for the second time, with Shun and Co. Because, though they are separated in time, they still have the same arc "from zero to hero". They have to learn about their new world, and they have to level themselves up in order to reach their goals. And every character has its own, unique goal. Regarding Kumoko's future timeline adaptation into the anime -- I personally see no other option. So far anime follows the LN narrative quite closely, though, as I said earlier, it has very different, much brighter tone. |

If its to make the story align atleast give kumoko more screen time like 70% of it. This is getting ridiculous, if it wasn't for kumoko I'd drop this without thinking. You're asking something imposible, even in the novel Kumoko's POV only sums around 60% of all the chapters. Yes, Kumoko is the main POV of the story, but the story has never been about a "cute" spider doing cute things. One of the main points of the story is about how this new world changed the students (and their struggle for these changes), how the students changed the world and how they affected the life of others with or without knowing. Here's your cute spider doing cute things (spoiler chart) Sometimes we even have cases like this: (this is volume 6) 20+ chapters and only 5 are from Kumoko's POV.... Or in even more rare cases, no Kumoko's POV in the entire volume. |

At this point, the human plot is so awful I'm just completely skipping it. It's nice that the MC is helping people, but word is going to spread along roads to other towns and she's going to be found out real quick. She needs to learn to create a familiar that looks like herself and leave the familiar behind to perform the healing while she gets out of dodge. Within a few days, big mom is going to show up and one shot the familiar. Maybe create a few familiars so that after big mom kills one and leaves, another familiar can come out of hiding and continue performing the healing. |

Nice Hero group & Kumoko both live in Sariella (timeline still unclear tho). Lots of much needed politics/worldbuilding. Big factions finally revealed: Potimas elves kidnapper for isekais, God of Word church pope Dustin, Ariel demons, & Goddess faith Sariella. Dustin later caused the coup & war but the political scene's still vague. Not sure where Shun group belonged, maybe god of word but now expelled. Lol Kumoko becomes divine beast of that religion, while Fei has a chance to be the Sariella goddess. And Shougo confirmed. |

Very clear actually, Kumoko as a white spider and baby Sophia timeline is 15 years before Shun timeline even starts. Confirmed in Ronaldt fight (old guy and soldiers vs Kumoko, 15 years ago), by D second dialogue with spider (who mentioned everyone is currently just a bunch of babies while she leveled a lot in question of months), not to mention Basgath describing the Nightmare of Labyrinth antics, who are exactly like Kumoko (heal, just attack if you attack her), a powerful monster white spider who came out 15 years ago. Also, there's a lot of Kumoko's children just chilling in the labyrinth, by Shun timeline. Finally, the vampire Sophia Shun party interacted (and fighted, in epi 14) with is obviously NOT a baby. Yet, she look like that baby... Because she IS her. 15 years old. Sorry, but what's else is unclear? At most you can be confused about who Kumoko's currently (Shun Timeline) is, and what she's doing, which are spoiler. She is: White clothes female general, the one who killed Julius, the previous hero, with a root attack from her pink eyes. Yes, she's currently working under Demon Lord Grandmother against the other isekaikids. Reasons to the unvelied later on, maybe even in season 2. |

Idk why, but rhat 24s mark can make me dizzy, ngl. Kumoko finally get a fully recovered spider body. Now i can get a little understanding of why Kumoko being called as the Goddess. Kumoko instantly got a horde of worshippers, not so long after arriving at those Karen County (hope i don't spell a mistake), receiving lot of attention, and made a nice contact with the human believers there. Its not just a divine beast, its, Kumoko. The back and forth plot style still create a bit of troublesome to me. Now they added a little new pov here and there again, under a certain characters. The bloodsucker reincarnation girl, her father, Potimas, and Dustin. Shun group pov still clear as crystal with their goal, gathering the power by themself, in the middle of the conflicted areas. Idk if they can achieve that by their own hands. But, slowly i can finally understand how the conflict started in the first place. These episode kinda connect all of the disjointed information that already known before, and its relation with Kumoko. Their respective views about Kumoko tbh very amusing. All of them really got a different angle about the spider. The next title episode also sound fascinating. The class reunion, eh? Well.... |

The Kumoko character in this anime is very different from one in the LN. LN is much more darker, and she just do what she can trying to survive -- always on the brink of her demise. That is why I was very surprised about the silly tone of her character in the Anime. But I get why they did that -- people are accustomed to see things like "Slime" without any logic and a lot of boobs, and dark tone like in the LN would probably turn away big portion of the audience right away. Still, it somehow managed to work out for me, giving an entirely new taste for the story. And I think you where told correctly -- this is a best isekai there is today (and I would say "Overlord", "Goblin Slayer" and maybe "Shield hero" are fine stories as well). I wish we had much more of that level of serious isekai stories, for more mature audience. |

Kumoko just keeps beating the dead horse, her jokes stopped being funny somewhere in the 5th episode, her constant rambling is cringe indusing and her being literally a Kirito also does no help a bit. Walls of pointless text that "explains" stuff are also tragic. I know this is an isekai story, but i was told this one is the best. So where is it. The Kumoko character in this anime is very different from one in the LN. LN is much more darker, and she just do what she can trying to survive -- always on the brink of her demise. That is why I was very surprised about the silly tone of her character in the Anime.
