If the OP were any indication we would at least see the end of volume 4 in the anime. At that point, monsters were running from her... though she's running away from something as well. She just keeps running away from things for the first few years of her reincarnated life, ha. |
The trouble with the future is that it keeps turning into the present. |

Wonder why so many seem to have a downer on this so far? Maybe it's because it came out at the same time as Tenshura season 2? Whatever,I love Rimuru's story(LN/Manga and anime),but I thought this was also quite enjoyable. I have a couple of the LN's but Haven't got round to reading them yet, looks like it might be about time I did. I didn't think the CG was that bad since,to me,it seemed to fit the tone of the episode, but what really made me situp and take a LOT of notice was the ED theme! Damn, did that make me laugh! So far,I think I'm going to like Kumoko, hell, she might even become a waifu :) And I have a fear of small spiders too :) |

The 3dcg animation is evident, at least in the drawing of the creatures, the opening and ending have a lot of bpm. But, the story is good, it is not the typical reincarnation of someone powerful or lucky enough to find a partner, from the beginning he is suffering a lot and in his past life it was not the best, we hope to see progress in his life The OP won't be the best of this season, but the ending has been one of the best so far. Also, they chose a good voice for the protagonist, it cost me to know that she was the seiyu of Tamaki Kotatsu from Fire Force. Without Fan Service at the moment, and also for its history, I think this anime is worth to follow this winter, I hope they continue like this! |

Yo, finally have a time watching this, and yeah, a lot of mixed feeling. This year really get full of isekai with all of their own manuever. And i can't help, but aggree with all of those recommendation about this show. Lemme write it down again as my own commentary. This show enveloped the same vibe like tensura Then, its have the same vibe like Bofuri, and mostly the same like kuma isekai The last, the vibes came from Arifureta Despite having many minor differences (even a lot of different execution) between those much shows that i already mentioned before with this one, the show proved to be enjoyable so far for me. Why? Its have a spontaneous reaction, and i just like that comedy attempt that try to depicted its (prota) action as a spider. Pretty much like Tensura in their first episode. I just hope, they still portraying the spider struggleness, until a several episodes later. Because, its kinda hard to deliver it in one and two episodes, with a lot of many popular isekai show out there. And their ed was wacky too! So, yeah, slow it down, little spider! |

Honestly, enjoyed the Episode, tho I am guessing she is most likely going to stay as a Spider for the whole time not my thing but alas I really like the Opening and also love that we get another Isekai with a female MC. She seems very funny and adorable so far. Can't wait to see where it goes. Also story wise, I actually enjoy the whole slowly building and leveling up. Always better than when someone just instantly boom comes up as having everything perfected or it is skipped. |

The story itself didn't especially impress imo nor engross me, but holy voice acting batman did I laugh most of the episode. Then the ending hits and this is another over the top berserk voice acting performance, this is so entertaining. I decided to watch this after knowing it was Aoi Yuuki as the protag but man I didn't expect it to go that far. oh and "ooooh, jesuuus" => lmao (would she even say that as a Japanese high schooler tho :D ). She has also said "my home" lol, it is interesting to know if it is from the script or an addition that she made |

Ah, the CGI, ugh the CGI. Why, the CGI. Studio shown themselves to be able to do full hand drawn for most episode so, why? Also, the fact it keeps transitioning and blending between CG and drawn, without being unnoticeable that is, so why, really. Leave CGI to the ones capable, really. The only issue I have with this. That said, the pacing seems okay to see this going past the manga, so some new content yeah. Also 2-cour and doesn't seem a split one, even better. |

FullyCharged said: Ah, the CGI, ugh the CGI. Why, the CGI. Studio shown themselves to be able to do full hand drawn for most episode so, why? Unfortunatelly the key word here is "Animation". A spider movement is more difficult to animate than humans in 2D but the biggest problem isn't the difficulty but the time. The 8 legs make the movemente animation more complex because animators need to keep attention to the angles of each leg to keep the coordination. tbf my guess is that the studio knew that they had to do Kumoko on 3D so they decided to roll the whole dungeon with 3D to reduce the clash between her and the other monsters. Also, the fact it keeps transitioning and blending between CG and drawn, without being unnoticeable that is I love this. The CG used may not be the best one out there but the studio really put effort in making it as similar as possible to the 2D. |

The manga covers only the protagonist's PoV, and that's why you may see some people saying everything else is filler. This is not true at all. Even if the manga is released at a turtle's pace, eventually all that cut content will be needed for the story to make sense. Some of the cut content was released as bonus chapters on the printed release of the manga, but it just scratches the surface of what's missing. |

The scenes of eating spiders and frogs are a little disgusting. It's enough to listen to the spider's stand-up comedy. If you see a question like "What seiyuu performance in animation adds a lot to animation", I would recommend this animation. Feel that the ed is suitable for the soundtrack. |

People ARE overreacting, this much was fine and definitely enjoyable. MC is even more charismatic and funny than I imagined, getting a really good feeling from this one. Some gruesome scenes but they did try to make it more lighthearted, despite her being forced to cannibalism... The latter half from the human side with the other people that were reincarnated left me inspired as well, but I do have a question there. Where these people reincarnated from birth, or they just got to "steal" the body of already living persons on that world? |

I really liked the spider-girl's design so I was looking forward to watching this show, since I heard it was pretty well done. (I have not read any of the source material.) But watching the first episode, I barely made it all the way to the end. The MC is annoying and talks way more than necessary. It seemed to me the whole cave part was just way longer than it needed to be. Non of the jokes were funny to me.(and I could see them coming ways ahead, which doesn't help.) Then they cut to the human part of the episode and I just felt treated like I was a fool. Yes, you can show a scene where gossip happens, but do you have to make it that long? It's like they were spelling every gossip out to me, while I got it after one sentence already. Than they just have to spell out that the elf is older than she looks, which you could get from the vibe she was not (calling her 'sensei' etc, plus classic elf-trope). I am going to just blatantly say this: It feels like they looked at Slime and said "let's just take everything from that premise that worked and add a spider-girl instead". Not only again reincarnated, but also a super similar level and skill system. PLUS also a very similar AI identifier system for materials... And you might say "don't change a format that isn't broken", right? No, to me there is a difference between putting your own spin on a concept and just unapologetic copy/pasting. (Besides that, Rimuru was way more likable imo, even from the first episode.) However, I have little problems with the CGI. I have a feeling people have seen so many cases of bad CGI use now, that any CGI is an instant turn-off. I can understand that, but at the same time, people complain nowadays even about the final season of AoT and it's CGI. I would advice the people with that opinion to try rewatching the first season... you would be surprised. This show doesn't portray the best CGI, but it's by far not THAT bad. With AoT S4, I didn't even notice it until people started pointing it out. We can also become too critical sometimes. If you one of the people that like a lot of comfort-food shows that can sometimes just be complete copy-cats, this will be a blast. I, for a fact, like some nice variety. |

You didn't got the meaning of that scene. Yeah she looks younger but the point was that she's not that old. She's not a 1000 years old elf, but only 15 at most which makes weird that everyone was calling her sensei even when she was also a student in that academy. This whole thing made sense when it was revealed that all of them were reincarnated students and the elf was the teacher that also died during the explosion. Not only again reincarnated, but also a super similar level and skill system. PLUS also a very similar AI identifier system for materials... Ok you're either an anime viewer that hasn't touch a novel in his whole life or the only novel that you have read is slime. Didn't you get the memo? Slime didn't invented this type of skill and stats system and even less appraisal. Now you're saying that Arifureta, Bofuri, Death March and Re:Monster (which is a novel from 2011. 2 whole years before Slime even existed) also copied Slime. Also, if you really want to make comparisons let's see Slime with Re:Monster (which again is 2 Years older than Slime) - Reincarnated as a monster ✓ - Reincarnated inside a cave ✓ - Have a skill to appraise ✓ - Gets the skills of the monsters that eat ✓ - First arc is about helping a goblin community to grow ✓ Spider and Slime has 2 similar points, both were reborn as a monster and inside a cave and that's it. At this point Stats and Skills are almost a core part of isekai (or even LNs in general). In first place Rimuru and Kumoko's personalities aren't even similar, Kumoko didn't got born with OP skill or casually found a friendly dragon. Kumoko spends a lot of time inside the cave (no joking. Volumes 1-4 are inside the cave) trying to not die and finding an exit. |

I have read neither Slime nor Re:Monster (manga and light novel). Maybe I didn't explain my point well enough, but what I meant was that I was disappointed that the Spider Anime didn't live up to the solidness I felt coming from the Slime Anime (so far after the first episode). I have since been informed the Anime quite rushed it and maybe to it's determent in my case. Regardless, I never meant to sound like Slime was the originator of the whole monster plot and it's several mechanics. Who was 'first' is frankly unimportant to me when it comes to reviewing/watching an Anime. |

For the most part, the early episodes of KumoDesu have been working as intended. The series simply doesn't immediately reveal what it is about. You need to piece it together. It is a mystery series, after all. Most anime (and light novels) are super-straightforward and obvious, but there are rare exceptions. |

Finally got to this series. And did they added in that classmate reincarnate scene? don't remember that being in the manga... Felt kinda weird, since I was sure that was one of the mystery where ppls were discussing who else got reincarnated and such. Anyways, for the series itself, not bad, the rest of the episode stayed true. Tho some parts that works in the manga doesn't seem to work in the anime. ___ ___ ___ But I got this feeling they're trying to lengthen the episodes by adding in the Classmates based on OP/ED so they can end each episode on where the manga chapters end. (instead of in the middle of Kumo doing something, such as this episode ends at where Kumo defeats the frog like in the manga) |

It's half version of LN that cut out all "Human side" plot. also it is released at snail pace. Manga currently in vol 4 of LN. and we will be getting 11th Volume of LN in march. Anime would most likely go past current manga. Anime adapting LN - hence it gives the full version. If you like to read i highly suggest reading LN from the very start. it's the best experience. Anime still fine though. |

“I just spent the last two years thinking that you guys knew more than me about life and I just found out that you guys are just as dumb as me.” “Duh-doy.” “Yeah, duh-doy.” |

I recently finished Mushoku Tensei and Slime, so I'm diving straight into this new anime. I came with low expectations, because of the crappy promo trailer from Crunchyroll, constant delays and complaints from the community, but I was blown away by the first episode. I didn't expect a female protagonist who is a spider, while her classmates are reincarnate into nobles and royalty. The VA is doing a great job on entertaining me throughout the episode. I hope the next one will be better than the first. Decent start, 8/10 |
