I didn’t really like the beginning episodes of this season, but this episode got me hyped. It was great to see Isabella help the kids and the demons turn the tables on Ratri. Manga readers hating on this but an anime watcher like me enjoyed this season.

Amazing ep !

But i still didn't get what is the point of going back to human world. If demons can live without eating humans, they can co-exist in this part of world also
I thought AOT was overrated , but S4 changed my mind. It's epic.

Highly recommend it

I Liked the "Phil" part... Emotional... just that.

But the rest... HOW CONVENIENT... everything went in favor...

Wow this just went from a Suspense/Horror Series to a HappyEnding/SliceOfLife Series...

Literally, in one ep.. this went down even more than all the past episodes together..

Great Example, of how to ruin a good series...

Awful. Just one more episode of this garbage and I can totally forget about this series. Don't understand why they couldn't have just ended it with this episode as they never introduced the omnipotent demon God and amnesia crap. I can guess what will happen next episode based on the manga, but that shit is so unnecessary at this point.

And the animation looked really dodgy in episode 10. Even though the story-line has been a horrendous hack job after they entered the bunker, I've been sorta impressed with the visuals this season with the exception of the giant CG demons... At least until recently. It's been pretty dodgy in a few scenes ever since they began infiltrating the demon city. This last episode in particular looked really bad for the most part.

Btw this ending... It fucking sucks. One of the best chapters in the entire manga's run is chapter 100, which is a chapter from Phil's perspective regarding his lonely existence in a new plantation and how he's tormented by being the only one aware of what's happening. That chapter makes his final reunion with the escapees really touching. Here it's like we'll reintroduce Phil in episode 10 and within 10 minutes he's reunited with Emma and it has the emotional impact of a wet fart. Wow, great.

It feels like someone entered director's skull and took a shit.
Things are now just happening for no reason and Emma, who was well fleshed character in the 1st season is not nothing more than bland and boring Mary Sue, who already mastered Talk no Jutsu.

I was not hyped for this anime at because I knew that the whole "great escape" theme will be gone and it was the best thing about season 1, but I am still disaapointed.

Was fucking epic how they saved all the children's. It was nice seeing Phil and all the other kids again. Just when things were getting shitty the demon city decides to help save the children's since they were the inspiration.

I cant actually believe that Momma turned on Peter Ratri.

This season seems like an any % speedrun lol
As with most entertainment, a hype train or hate train can severely change the way people look at a show. Season 2 is not as bad as people say it is.
That being said, it is nowhere near the first season and is borderline insulting to compare the two.
I'm glad it's ending soon.
I will regard s1 as its own thing and pretend season 2 never even came out (getting Flashbacks of Tokyo ghoul)

Well story-telling had gone out of the show a long time ago, now story-tension has gone out too.

The 12-13 yo kids are professional builders who can somehow build dozens of hot air balloons, explosives and smoke bombs in a couple of days.

Oh Vincent was a traitor, lol fuck no it was a trick that gets resolved in 2 minutes.

Oh wait they're attacking the hot air balloons, all the balloons get destroyed except the ones with the kids.

All the demons get bonked in the head by kids and they're done, weren't they supposedly super strong?

But wait, Ratri has a plan and Isabella and other mothers have guns.

Oh but 2 secs later she's turned on Ratri and patting herself on the back since the entire world is on Emma's side.

Oh but Ratri has more reinforcements, but then obviously 5 secs later the old guy who could barely walk is now here to lead the charge against the reinforcements too. Demon soldiers being destroyed by a group of villagers.

AND if that wasn't enough, Emma tries to recruit Peter Ratri with yet more talk no jutsu to somehow make us feel bad for the 'villain' we've seen for a total of 5 minutes.

Well
Atleast the Phil reunion was better than that awful Norman one.

This was bad. There was no proper problem at all. They got everything they wanted with no struggle. All of the characters' achievements feel so unearned.

I was right about Isabella's betrayal.

In a story that introduced itself as a fight for life and death, they actually didn't kill anybody!

This ep started out well but by the second half it was just a mess yet again; they crammed so many twists into such a short amount of time that it became ridiculous, the pacing feels so rushed and this feels like end game already... so I'm assuming there won't be another season.

I can't believe this is the shit that they produced after such an incredible Season 1... like, why are they rushing it? Why have they just made this subpar sequel for an anime that was extremely popular? It's like Tokyo Ghoul all over again!

Loool. Twist after the twist. Betrayal after betrayal. Surprise by surprise. Poor that Ratri got tackled so hard. This episode. Wth was that? Its too fast. Its too easy. No suspense, just laugh from me xd. I mean, there might be some resistance to the demons noble part, right? Well, idk shit anymore....

I hope they still didn't forget about Sonju intentions whose wanted to tastes the children meats in the, idk, episode 3, maybe? I forgot .... The way he saw Mujika, tho. Was that the last hint?

Well, thats it. The possibility for the humans at those world to be coexistence with the demon was wide openned. Emma smile very wide too. Mama Isabella being too kind too. But its okay.

Happy end for the best of the series, sounds very understandable to closed this wacky continuations. I already seal my scores, maybe do some change to the previous one, for the first time of my history in mal. So, yeah, its pretty entertaining wack show, to say the least.

I don't particularly mind anime original endings but this is just embarrassing.
Rushing the story without proper background explanations, every solution is conveniently placed on a silver platter in front of the kids, the tension is gone episodes ago. I really hope that the blu-ray sales will plummet and the studios will at least learn something instead of blaming piracy or whatever.

Kinda feels ass-pully. Don't know really. Even though I like despair inducing anime I feel like this season would be bad as one, but then the opposite with all this optimism is kinda better but not great. Episode was too fast paced as well. I just want to see the outside world already. Watching this season makes me feel like the previous one was worse as well. dk

Getting low and low and low score, I feel a little sad because of it...I think the story of this season is full of coincidence, if the kids didn't meet Sonju and Mujika, if the kids didn't meet Norman and friends...and Grandma Isabella, trying to defend her beloved kids...and don't forget the Naruto-Obito scene replicated by Emma-James Ratri hahaha, for me is not that bad, man...but yeah maybe the manga reader is disappointed but for anime only, really I enjoy this...

I loved this anime including the ending. All of the jaded anime watchers that always have to see people die, care about art style so much more than the actual story, or everything must be exactly like the manga are always so annoying. although i can see the point from those that wanted everything more fleshed out with more suspense in how everything comes together at the end, i don't mind the rushed ending. I just hope there is more to the story. If not, oh well. At least i don't have to stay in suspense anymore of what's going to happen next. too many things to watch to get dragged out on one show.

overall i loved this anime. really unique and smart.

Oh man. Sure he idea of a stealth rescue mission is cool in concept but...

Btw did they say 5 farms with 40 ppl each? Are you for real? That is not even remotely enough to feed the amount of demons in this world. This whole world makes literally zero sense. It's just so shit. Like what everyone who works at the farms secretly has the special blood or something? And like one lick of a human brain is enough to keep a demon sane for years? Like what?

Also for only 5 farms that seems like a lot of Moms js...
In the manga is explained and showed better, here they didn't even mention it tbh, there are other farms around the world that consist in obesse and brainless kids that are created just to be eaten, like "trash food".

The main farms where the kids are intellectual were mostly for the rich and royal families.
But then again, they don't say shit about that here.

Thank you for the explanation. It makes me wonder about Emma's plan to save "everyone" and if she would actually try and save all these kids in the other farms. Unless you literally mean brainless such that there is no one to even save.

Normally I enjoy it when a show can resolve multiple plot points in a single episode, but this episode felt like they completely ran out of budget and had to resolve everything in two episodes to wrap it all up as fast as possible.

We get a traitor who wasn't a traitor, a new face for a villain who is immediately defeated, a dangerous situation with armed maids that is immediately resolved, supposed reinforcements that never arrive. I haven't read the manga, but this literally just feels like a filler ending written by a fan without any suspense.

The most disappointing episode by far in my opinion.

Hmm so the betrayal was actually part of their plan. The reveal of the balloons as they lifted off sure matched well with that track that accompanied it. Decoy combined with shock assault was quite the cunning plan. The demon's underestimation of Emma's team and their overconfidence really served to allow Emma's team to strike hard and fast. The twin shocks of seeing Isabella and her team betray Peter as well as seeing the civilians revolt under the guidance of Mujika sure proved to be so satisfying. Overall an excellent ep that combined excellent tension, action and some damm satisfying revelations that turned what should have been a defeat for the team to almost guaranteed victory.

I don't like how everything is just working out in line with the idealist messaging. There's literally no consequences and there wasn't enough time to flesh this out. Also, Isabella is suddenly on their side?! Wth, that's just out of nowhere. And how do they know that their trackers won't reconnect? There was also shameless baiting with the end of the last episode. Why tease the more interesting route of having a traitor only to just go back to the boring route that always pushes the same message in every story beat?

Tbh, I probably wouldn't have cared about what happens regardless of what they had in mind for the finale, but this is just pissing me off. That last scene with Emma offering her hand to an antagonist -- that I know next to nothing about I might add -- was a nail in the coffin.

Also, wtf is Sonju doing?! Why is he helping them escape? Doesn't he want to eat humans? I just don't know man, nothing in this show is sitting right with me.

This episode made me sad.

I'm an anime-only person and still had high hopes for this season. There were earlier things in the season I didn't like (anti-climatic reintroduction of Norman, no time in the bunker, etc.) but this episode was really disappointing.

I remember the last couple episodes of the first season and they were fantastic. The tension was high - I knew the kids would escape, but I was still surprised by things in the episodes and the end with Isabelle was great. I felt none of that with this episode, and it's the penultimate. 0 tension, 0 suspense. Main things I have beef with:

-Am I supposed to root for Isabella now? Why? Did we forget she shipped off kids to be murdered? I get that there is retribution but uh...
-Same with Ratri. Idk why Emma is deciding that there should never be consequences. These people MURDERED AND EXPERIMENTED ON CHILDREN. Would Emma be forgiving Hitler as well??? Wtf????
-Moms with guns out of nowhere. Dumb.
-Oh geez, Isabella revolted. Predictable, called it at the beginning of the episode. Same with the guy at the beginning who fake-leaked info to Ratri, he obviously wasn't going to be a traitor.
-Nonstop deux ex machina. First Isabella and the moms, then the demons at the end. Ugh.

Am I right in assuming next episode will be the final and there won't be another season? Seems like it's gearing up to be a sunshine and rainbows end with humans and demons coming together all because Emma has the ultimate power of *~* being nice *~*

Also my baby Ray is just a yes man now, which sucks.

Only good moment was Phil reuniting with Emma, they are v cute.

Wow I had more feelings than I thought.

1. Wtf did all the hot air balloons come from?

2. In episode 3, Sanju said that he can hardly wait to eat humans again. According to his religious beliefs, they just have to be hunted in the wild, not farmed. So all the prime breeding stock is out of the farm... win-win. He's been alive for centuries, all he's got to do is wait for a few more.

3. So the demon civilians and some humans have overturned the farm system. What is the government going to say / do about this? It's a socioeconomic collapse.

4. Why didn't Isabella splatter that Peter Ratri guy's brains on the wall before Emma even started with her friendship shtick?

At least it wasn't a boring episode.

You know what would solve the rest of the story problems? Another MAGIC PEN CAP.

I won't deny that pacing-wise, this episode was all over the place.

I did like some parts of it, mainly the touching reunion between Emma and Phil and the introduction of the civilian demons making their assault thanks to drinking Mujika's blood, but other parts felt rushed and heavily reliant on plot armour.

I did have a good feeling that Isabella would still side with the kids as their goals align together, so it was rather satisfying to see her and the other sisters put Peter Ratri in his place.

At this rate, I wonder what show would have a worse score, This or Tokyo Ghoul Re: 2nd season. We'll have a more accurate answer after this season is over, but it's still a shame that this 2nd season of The Promised Neverland has been underwhelming, even for an anime-only like me. =(
