| The 2000s had better (and weirder) shows but digital animation from that time doesn't look all that good for a lot of them. But you know since I'm a filthy hipster nostalgiafag I'm gonna say the 80s. |

For me, 2000's is the better one for the originality and stylized artstyle for the animation since it is still in the traditional, mid-digital, and digital phase. 2010's is better for the animation, more enhanced version of the existing plots for the exchange of originality, as well as the booming of the talented and veteran seiyuus. Well, it's 2010's for me. 2020's though, it's starting in the right direction with the current 2021. |

| The 90's seem better to me than the 2000's. It even seems that, ironically, animation from many studios lowered the animation quality since the early 2000's. Compare the animation of Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho and Kenpu Denki Berserk with Claymore's and Fate / Stay Night. With this in mind, I prefer the 2010s to the 2000s. |

| 2010s simply because I'm more familiar with titles from it, I yet have to check any out any of the top titles I keep hearing about from 2000s, I do, however, think that both of them have their goods and bads, I mean each decade does, ultimately the 90s is my favorite decade, the 80s is a close second. |

| I'm going to have to go with the 2000s, despite loving Steins;Gate, cause there were some amazing ones in the 2000s, especially Monster, NHK, Ghost in the Shell, Naruto (for nostalgia reasons), Kara no Kyoukai, Hajime no Ippo, etc. 2010s come very close though with some really good shows. |

| Everyone here seems to be going with 2010s. For me its 2000s hands down. The 2010s had more anime in general but the 2000s had more hits. In the 2000s we got Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Seasons 1&2, Code Geass, Spice and Wolf, Black Lagoon, Baccano, Monster, Welcome to NHK, Samurai Champloo, Clannad, Toradora, and Gurren Lagann. The 2010s had great anime like Attack on Titan, Re:zero, and Steins Gate but as far as some of the upper tier shows there's less. Shows like Overlord, My hero academia, and Rising of the shield Hero are fun watches but no as good as the 2000s hits. |

| I believe you'll get about twice as much value exploring anime from the 2000s over the 2010s. Movies in particular saw the biggest drop in the 2010s due to all the major movie directors having either retired or passed away by that time. Sadly very have emerged to take the medium to unexplored places. |
