However, being part of the idol group now also encourages her to be motivated as both a person and idol. |

| Awesome ep! Great to see Rina getting her shine and development. Thanks to the other girls she was able to overcome her self esteem issues and put on a banger performance, and she’s making new friends. Love to see it. Think we all have a little Rina in us. Kanata ep next week, can’t wait. |

| 15:01 CET... I open crunchyroll and started episode 6 of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. It runs fine... ...just without subtitles :-( But instead to wait, I*ve invested in "Anime on Demand" and was able to see this episode with only 5 minutes delay And the little extra stress was worth it! This was a great episode. But before I go deeper into this episode, I want to mention, that there is something, I don't like on Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Club. There is no spanning story. Every episode has there own little topic and some episodes are developing some facts, which are important for the whole club, but after episode three, there is no global tension anymore. For others shows this is fine, but imho this doesn't really fit here. And episode 6 doesn't change anything to this fact. We see Rina build up. But all of this is told in only one episode. Nevertheless, this was one of the best episodes. The inner conflict of Rina. Their fear of getting misinterpreted, because she doesn't show her expressions is shown in a really good plausible way. I was curious about her before this episode and now I really like her after this episode! Only her song was mediocre on the first hearing. It reminded me strongly on Doki Pipo ☆ Emotion which is also sung by her. For the other insert songs before, I didn't saw as much similarities as this time. And last but not least, I want to have these shoes!  |

| She is finally here, the best girl. I really love Rina, she is my favorite girl by far. Rina is a shy girl, which makes it almost impossible for her to be an idol. But she found a way to not show her face and perform at the same time. It was a great episode. |

| The best idols are able to turn their weaknessess into their strengths. Rina just needed to make up with the stuff she couldn't with the stuff she could. And then, yeah, thats the tech stuff was the answer to closed her over thinking. There was no need such an embarassment, enjoy your thing, and peoples already likes your flagship mark. Thats what happened to Tennoji Rina. Well, i can't helped but smiled with the way Tennoji Rina finally overcome the embarassment of her emotionless expression with such a beautiful idea. Since she joined the School Idol Club, its actually she was already change her own self into a better one. No matter who you were, there was always people around that could supported you. Well, such a simple but pretty accurate attempt to resolved the girl trouble. But i was pretty much enjoyed the outcome. Its glad to see the solo concert, the first for the club that has been held pretty successfully, from the so called emotionless girl. Its really became their motivation to be more better than her. Okay, the last girl centerred episodic episode, and i finally able to see how the plot suming up at their end. Lets see .... |

| Tokyo Joypolis is very worth to visit especially for the one who loves playing arcade or VR games. There's even an attraction which combined roller coaster with rhythm games inside. Finally, Rina can make friends with her classmates., and her first solo concert was successful. Rina's face board and sketchbook are coming. I think we will see more of them in future episodes. The next episode is about a sleepy girl Konoe Kanata, can't wait to see. |

| Rina admittedly was not a character I liked when I first started to know the Nijigaku girls. Like Yoshiko in Sunshine, she originally felt to me like a gimmick character that was high on rankings and popular for no reason. Unlike Yoshiko though, the Rina-chan board feels really deserved and consistent with her character but not too different with the group to give tonal whiplash. Looking forward to the Kanata focus next episode. Her songs and costumes are always good |
| Great episode. Rina is a sweet girl, all she wants is to get along with people and make friends but she struggles at expressing herself, especially her emotion and her general straight face expression doesn't help too much, it's understandable that she felt insecure whe she saw her own expression in the reflection and felt it was too robotic to be a idol. The entire cast supporting Rina especially from Ai and Yuu was very sweet, makes them all really lovable. It's always a beautiful thing to see people offer their unyielding support to a friend in need. I like that they wrote off Rina's face mask computer trait with actual story content, they wove it in really well and related it to her personality nicely too. As long as you have the heart behind your words and actions, does your expression really matter? After all, what is the shape of a smile? |

| Rina oh Rina, you may not be able to display your happiness with your face but you sure can under a mask. It was nice to see how Rina was able to find her own unique way of being a school idol with the help of her fellow friends. I can't imagine what Rina would look like dancing without a mask though. Good episode :) |

Not gonna lie, that Metal Gear Solid reference came out of nowhere. On a more serious note, i don't like that the reason for Rina's constant deadpan wasn't addressed, like what kind of medical condition is it. |

| Pretty good episode. She's like the most unique idol ever in the Love Live! franchise, and I am so glad that Rina's face mask has turned out to be perfect for her performance! Plus, her song at the end was quite good! Chiemi Tanaka has done a fantastic job!  Rina-chan board... teehee! |

| And so the Rina-chan board is born as well. I am still not a big fan of the board and the moment when the face reveal came in SIFAS was just great. I wish the board isn't needed anymore but well Rina isn't Rina without her board tbh. It is amazing how she invented it and actually there are people who made it as well IRL with putting a lot of work in it. Rina in a box fits perfectly somehow... So finally it's time for the sleepy goddess in the next epsiode. I see her sister Haruka is joining us as well. And with that saying it's sleeping time! |

| Great episode. Eventho it was obvious from the start, I loved to see how this Rina board came into play. For someone who is into games and loves tech, this sure is a nice fit. Everyone else was so supportive towards Rina that it melted my heart. For someone who knows how hard it is to express yourself around others, this hits the feels quite a bit for me. The box undoubtly made me think of Metal Gear! Her performance was super cute and I love the "Nico Nii" at the end, while not seen the original at all, that still made me laugh a little. |

That headset... somehow she can see through it (without any camera holes any where on the front) AND she can change the expression on the headset at will without pressing any buttons (as her hands are free) Is this the proto-type of how Elon Musk's Neuralink works? (PS: I searched the RL "props" of the headset, but only as "props" as in it doesn't have the actual functions like in the anime where it can have multiple expressions, easy to see without mass amounts of light shining at people, and as mentioned can change expression at will and not on a timer) AKA, Rina Board is something like an crystal-transplarent-OLED-onesided-mirror-secruity-window screen that the user can see through while others can't while changing the expressions on the screen with brain waves or mouth muscles. |

| Halfway through this episode: "I've changed so much and made so many friends." No more than two minutes later: "I've not changed at all and can't make any friends at all." Emma's episode last week highlighted it as well, but this episode really reinforced my growing concern that this structure of "one focus episode for every character" means each character arc is going to be so rushed that it just doesn't work as well it should. Also, this isn't exactly fair on the show, but I've been rewatching Little Busters: Refrain of late and Kuragaya's arc in that is very similar to Rinari's (both are characters who struggle to display emotions and want to better connect with people as a result) but executed so exceptionally well that it makes this episode look amateurish by comparison. Also, there's an irony to be had in the song's lyrics saying "no more hiding" when Rinari is deliberately hiding her face behind that electronic mask (and how does that work, exactly?). And drawing her emotions on an actual notebook at the end makes for a cute visual moment, but I honestly found it even more cringy than Komi-san "talking" through her notebook all the time. Regardless, it was one of the better songs this season, not least because it was the least separated from any real world context by virtue of being an actual performance (as opposed to Ai breaking out in a song and dance at the park, for example). As a character, Rinari is somewhere in the middle of my rankings so far, definitely not my least favourite but also definitely not even close to being my favourite. |

| I can't believe how heartwarming this was. Go Rina-chan! First 5/5 episode for this series so far. Rina's issue regarding her low self-esteem and difficulty to express herself felt incredibly relatable and the way how it was handled was very convincing if you ask me. And also... god, she's so goddamn cute and seeing everyone but most importantly Ai, being so supportive towards her this whole time honestly melts my heart. Ai is such a sweetheart and my love for her sure increased a ton after this episode. |

| Rina is the most unique idol I've seen in this franchise so far and also the most like myself. I always have trouble expressing how I feel, though I'm certainly better at it than Rina after years of improvement, and it always seems like I'm misunderstood. Showing joy, excitement, frustration, even the most simple emotions. It's especially bad with work where every boss I've worked for thinks I don't care about anything relating to the job... Overall I really like what they did with Rina in this episode and her song was cute too! |

| I really liked this episode. I can identified with Rina. I am introverted person and with this episode I remembered my school days. I mean. I was always alone, I remembered a person that was worried about that. I really want to Know how Rinna can see where she is with that thing in her face. |

| I kinda wish they would explain why Rina has such a blank facial expression 99% of the time. Is it a medical condition? Does she have nerve damage to her facial muscles? I feel left hanging here. |
