People talking about ads when I was able to find an ad blocker that didn't trigger the bots. I luckily back up all of my bookmarks on MAL so I still have them, but this hurts since KA was how I confirmed whether a show had a dub. Anyone have any good suggestions for how to see if a show has a dub now? |

Me using Crunchyroll, Funimation and Netflix 🤣🤣. I also have an alternative pirate site that I'm using just incase the anime that I want to watch ain't on the 3 streaming sites that I'm using ........Buuuuut I'm not telling since I don't want that site to get popular and get infested with ads as well. Anyways, hope more pirate sites get taken down. Mod Edit: Removed baiting. |

But there is a user that keeps a pretty useful list for such; https://myanimelist.net/profile/Universalx All 1,891 anime on his list are English dubs (I'm assuming you wanted English). Might be worth asking him if he uses something specific. Other than that there's animenewsnetwork which is useful sometimes MAL sometimes is up to date on English VA cast And the animedub subreddit for tracking anything upcoming Maybe someone else has some other wizardy that will be more helpful. |

One site goes down another pops right up however in the case of kissanime i fear one big domino effect is going to start to happen with other sites like gogo or watchcartoonsonline. |

Also I forgot this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Animedubs/wiki/2020 That is for 2020, but they have a list for every year back to 2014 for English dubs. I don't know enough to say if it's 100% comprehensive, but it is quite extensive one way or another. Hope it helps. |

Why did Kissanime shut? Would someone enlighten me?I am sure the site had copyright claims but it was an issue from the conception of the site. They just changed servers in 2016/17 when it was taken down. So,what's stopping them? Are other sites like nyaa and horrible gonna affected?Cause some newssite said it was an order straight from Japanese govt. who are trying to control piracy?Another theory is going on that it's from the studios directly who are trying to open an YouTube channel. I would want someone to enlighten me on this issue. |

I actually stop using kissanime a long time ago when I discover ani** but I hope they will not ban tachiyomi app huhu also any*** app. I heard that toei studio et all will post anime episodes in anilog YT. We need to support animators by using legal site to watch anime so we should not be sad about it. I want to use legal sites really, but Funimation is not available in my country and Crunchyroll anime is not complete, if I search some anime.. sometimes it appears but no episodes! It's confusing to used it. I hope Anilog YT put all anime there. |

Usefull list though far for complete. Eg no Kaleido Star! Also Rurouni Kenshin has 2 separate dubs. There are many obscure English dubs as well, mostly on YouTube. Eg maple town, brave little frog, Hutch the bee, superbook, Alfred J Kwak etc fortunately bakatsuki is a little better in that regard |

But, that means the servers for all those sites are in India? (why would pirate sites set up in a country with such cucked laws?) Or, only Indian viewers will have them blocked? Aren't there still shithole Eastern European countries who don't care about Copywrite laws? Or China- they have whole fake Disneylands ffs- I doubt they'd care about pirate anime servers, as long as they can block the degeneracy locally. Or, Nth Korea should start an industry of housing pirate anime, movies, etc- make some cash, AND piss off America and Japan, their two biggest enemies. |

This is bad. This is really bad. I've seen this happen before with pirate gaming, once the big players are gone they will start coming for the small ones. If you're watching or reading on another website something you better buy yourself an 8tb hard drive and start backing up everything |

I used Kiss Anime ever since 2014. It was easily my most visited site to watch anime over the 6 years. Sure the website deteriorated over the years and there was even a time where I boycotted the website because I got banned temporarily for blocking ads, but you know what....this website was real special ya know Plus I don't think any other streaming site has the expansive library that kiss had. If there was an obscure show you wanted to watch, there was a 90% chance kissanime had it. I didn't think this day would come considering how much money they made from the site. Also the comments section off kissanime felt way more lively and responsive than other streaming websites.....well it was a good run, RIP my old dear friend guych said: Y’all this is actually the saddest thing that happened all quarantine Truly sad nibba hours this and also when the app Manga Rock got shut down as well. |

Dang. I hated the inappropriate ads on KA and KM but I was always able to ignore them for the sake of enjoying whatever I was watching/reading. KA was the first site I ever used to watch anime, and was the one I used most often. I've found a good site to read manga on, but not for anime... The ones I have found are good and with no inappropriate ads, but there are some particular anime I watch in English, and it doesn't have the English dubs... |

And nothing of value was lost. When a pirate site has the nerve to whine about and try to circumvent adblock, they can and should die. Now, if 9anime and animephae got taken down, I'd actually care somewhat cuz those are tolerable non-torrent and non-legal sites for when I really cba to deal with crunchyroll or downloading, and they don't make life hell for daring to use adblock on an illegal and free service that contains viruses and pop-ups a plenty. So many people are whining when there are several better alternatives right in front of them to get the anime they want while having a better experience than Kiss can provide. I don't even actively advocate for mub Crunchyroll and Netflix given how scum CR is and how painful Netflix is regarding seasonals, but damn. I mean, I sorta get it for people wanting to watch super obscure and unlicensed titles not even that many pirate sites have, but for everyone else, literally look anywhere else or use torrents like Nyaa. Sure, nostalgia and all cuz it was the pirste site that introduced people to illegal free alternatives such as piracy and torrenting, but eh. This isn't some international tragedy or anything to really mourn over. When masterani died, it was way worse, since that site wasn't fucking AIDS and was also pretty good at getting subs and raws before most other sites (which knly really matters to seasonal ratrace reviewers who don't get hundreds of upvotes on every review like RebelPanda does) just like animephae is now. |

its the end of an era. It started around 2010. WOw 10 years Given, since 2017, it was never the same with the pop-ups and image notification to watch a different episode. But it was the best at what it was, specially pre-2017. Its the site that was used if Crunchy, Funi, or HiDi didnt have an anime. |

Shutting down pirated sites is good thing for struggling Anime Industry, yep pirated sites hurting Anime Industry. Yes, we do understand but it's just sad for those people whose poor like me who doesn't have a job yet and only hope of enjoying anime and only relies pirated sites. Rip Kiss. I remember I had gotten into anime and tried to look for sites to watch anime. Sites like crunchy roll was unheard of to me. I tried different places until I found Kiss years ago. Im not saying that place is the best but it was one of the well known places, especially with its Naruto online ads which were very sexualized. It had great catalogue which you could not find from places like funimation or crunchy roll. |

RIP Kissanime you will be missed. Perhaps you were too beautiful for this sinful world. I doubt this will stop piracy though. There have been situations like this before and people will always find a way to watch their favourite anime for free so I'm not too sad. But still, it'll be pretty had to find something matching the sheer number and variety KA had to offer. |
