| I feel like I had to ask to this question for some reason (out of curiosity). But, just wondering, how would the show look if the genders were reversed? EDIT: I found out that there are actually similar anime with the genders reversed out there, and plenty of that. Mostly these rapey reverse harem otome anime, one that comes to mind is Diabolik Lovers, it's not exactly the same, but it does remind me of it. |

The only actual good reverse harem I ever found was Hanasakeru Seishounen where 3/4 of the show is actual good story+world-building and not only drama on "what boy will she pick!? OwO". It even has a MC that has some actual character and dept to her. On any other reverse harem, I kept trying for years, but eventually agreed non of them would ever be even remotely good. But try that one if you have any time and interest left to give on any. |

I just want to point out that there is big difference in "Girls wanting to get pregnant" compared to "Guys wanting for the girl to become pregnant". also this version would probably be boring because after female Peter getting pregnant it would be end of story or there would be +9 months timeskip every episode/mini-arc. I just find the topic of this anime interesting to think about, and actually, when I looked further after reading the comments here, I've found that, these anime actually exist. Maybe not a 100% reversed carbon copy, but there are numerous titles which feature similar themes, although generally darker. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the general nature of the ever-present rapey MLs and abusive relationships portrayed in a lot of otome stories and shoujo manga. Thinking about it logically it makes sense that people would be averse to these themes but them being present in many stories must also mean that there is a market for it, which makes this quite interesting. I have not seen many stories like these in the west (as far as I know, besides 50 shades of grey, although many do carry similar undertones but a lot milder), so this could just be a localised/cultural preference unique to Japan or part of a niche market like the otaku community. |
