 Manga author Hiro Mashima announced a television anime adaptation of his Edens Zero manga on Twitter on Friday. Synopsis At Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park's front gates. Little do these newcomers know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robo-rebellion... And when his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos. (Source: Kodansha Comics) Mashima launched the adventure fantasy manga in Weekly Shounen Magazine in June 2018, nearly a year after concluding Fairy Tail. Kodansha published the ninth volume on April 17, with the tenth volume scheduled for a June 17 release. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English and simultaneously publishes it with the Japanese release on Crunchyroll Manga, ComiXology, and Kindle. | Keeping aside the striking similarity in Character Designs (almost plagiarizing, if you ask me), the Synopsis definitely sounds intriguing. I've heard there's Space involved in this too (as confirmed by cosmos), that's another hook for me. Fairy Tail started off great but deteriorated along the way, I wonder how this'll do. No idea how things were over with Rave Master, though. |

I've read a few chapters of the manga and I like it so far. Same atmosphere and tone as Fairy Tail. Still haven't finished watching the Fairy Tail anime myself, though (just seen the first series, still watching Fairy Tail (2014)). Looking forward to it and I hope it's at least 50 episodes long. I don't want it to be seasonal. It will be seasonal for sure. Long running anime are dying because of the risk which I don't like... |

| Listen i HATE Fairy Tail. Like legit hate. But to everyone in the replies here saying it's Fairy Tail 2.0 or someshit, i guarantee most of you have not read this series at all. I'm not saying it's amazing or anything like that, but it's miles fucking better than Fairy Tail. The characters are actually likeable, the setting and world-building is actually interesting and not a secondary thought, there has (so far) not been too many instances of nakama power and the fights have been legit, much better choreographed than the fights in FT and the story seems like it's actually been thought out by Mashima, there's clear foreshadowing, or mystery or plot points being built up rather than them going from arc to arc with seemingly not direction. Also people actually die. That's already different from FT. All in all, i think people should at least give this a chance. |

| This was teased for quite a bit in the last few weeks and I am not surprised it's getting an Anime adaptation! Definitely will watch it but for now it's a good time to start on the Manga again! I just hope that a different studio than A-1 will pick this up. I would love to see properly animated fights instead of majority of still-shots! |
