After what happened past few days in Australia I asked myself will loli's be removed from anime forever for sake of Mainstream sites and The laws of the Western Countries? 🤔
I'm afraid that they will not just get rid of Loli's fanservice and remove everything related to them, cuz loli's has some great moments in Slice of Life, School and Comedy anime of course without any fanservice

As long as Japan doesn't get infected with sjws you will be fine. Also how can they even ban it when you can just watch it on some streaming website hosted elsewhere like most people do. Not like I would ever give a single penny to a shit company like fuckimation.

The sooner lolis are gone, the sooner the world will be a better place.

This glorious signature image was created by @Mayumi!

I am the Arbiter of Absolute Truth, and here is my wisdom:

"Anime was always influenced by the West. This is not news.
Shoujo is the superior genre primarily aimed at young people.
Harem/isekai are lazy genres that refuse any meaningful innovation.
There is no 'Golden Age.' There will always be top-shelf anime.
You should be watching Carole & Tuesday."

I don't know anything else about other companies. I heard that cuntyrolled banned Tanya cosplays at their shitty convention up north in California though. If they censored anime it wouldn't surprise me either.

I think it is a little worrying. Especially since the person who accuses something of being 'child abuse' is going to have the upper hand, no matter what. You'd have to be delusional to call something like NNB lewd, but I wouldn't put it past some people especially if it's part of some bigger attack against the community.

I mean does anyone really want some old politicians to define what a 'loli' is when fans today still argue about it?

Lolis are cute and for protecting. There is also different kind of lolis: mature, legal, and illegal. Illegal is <18, legal is >18, and mature are those lolis that are like 12 but have the consciousness of a 200 year old. The illegal lolis are only for protecting.

Loli popularity in anime franchise and heavy hitters is finally dying off of late in Japan (good riddance). I would imagine that DOES mean less cover and more vulnerability for obvious crap like the pedophile maid series from two years ago and pedophile college student series from last year, but we will see.

Its future is just as bleak as any morally bankrupt or corrupt idea/person's is. The more educated the world gets as a whole, the more developed it becomes, the less degeneration is accepted and is rather frowned upon by the general public. What deviants do outside the light of enlightenment and sun is, alas, outside our control. Yet.

Just because certain countries (or continents in this case) have a problem with it doesn't mean Japan will stop producing it. The worst that would happen is it loli anime gets banned in a few places, which is unlikely in itself, but wouldn't matter because it's not like many of you watch anime legally.

If anything, it looks like lolis are in an upswing. You see more lolis in the limelight more than, say, half a decade ago. I don't like it, but as long as you lolicons keep your kink exclusively on your screen then whatever.

All I can say is if they were to go away, I personally wouldn't miss them and their high-pitched voices. Now am I hoping they get outright banned? No. It would be hypocritical of me to defend the entertainment I like and completely dismiss what others enjoy watching. I just personally find most loli characters really annoying is all. In no way I'm I trying to look down on or criticize fans of loli characters, so I apologize if I came off like I was.

Doubt anything is going to actually happen. It's just going to be forgotten by more... well, I want to say "important" matters, but it'll just be anything since it's the Australian Government.

In the worst scenario, people will just simply put on a pirate hat, and yo-ho-yo-ho, it's good for the Aussie weebs.

Oh, and of course, actual animation companies won't really care.
"You know you've reached peak quality when a doujin is better than the actual source series." (Eg. To LOVE-Ru)

Just to list a couple of biases.
Likes: A good story, characters, writing, romance, a good plot twist or something that breaks expectations (In a good way), 'backstory' and justice.
Dislikes: Bad romance, too much fanservice, the harem genre, yuri, yaoi, and bad writing.

Loli is alive and well outside of anime, raw sites are filled with it, mobile games are filled with them (except Shiny Colors).

Which is why I long advocated for total internet control from the state institutions and a serious crackdown on anyone supporting and generating demand for those repugnant violations of humanity.

Japan is the one society which is filled with people generating demand for underage "entertainment". While the rest of the world generally considers this an unhealthy and dangerous deviation, Japanese "creators" (first-to-second rate citizens) are willfully producing the supply since a lot of said deviants are rather willing to pay. And quite a lot.

I said it before and I'll say it again, sexualization of lolis will be gone one day weather we like it or not.

Anime is going at a rapid speed towards the mainstream and that means you cant pull that shit off anymore without being called out by basically anyone, from newsletters or actual governments. If the industry doesn't want to get in some hit water they better knock it off for good

JustMonaka said:

Nobody got problems with a young girl being in a show, people care when said young girl is being sexualized, just to clear things up, this is why people got mad at eromanga sensei but no one did at nezuko

Its a big thing that I feel like a lot of people just miss here

Young girl character= good
Sexualized young girl character= bad

Having read what was going on, I think the bigger threat to Loli's is not what this politician is doing in Australia, but what she said in her interview about there being powerful forces quietly moving in Japan to ban lolis and advocates are seeking outside help from other nations to drag the discussion into the light in Japan to create change.

I, personally, am ALL FOR IT.

I dislike most loli's I see. When a loli shows up, you know you're going to get some high-pitched, moe-blob, shallow waste of a character in 90% of the cases. I don't hate all Loli's, but I hate most of them. But, that's not even the main reason I'm for it. The main reason is I am so SICK of all the High-School carbon copy animes. Every season, half of the animes are set in a school. Same plots, same characters, same jokes, same tropes, everything. Literally like half, if not more, if you consider they even set some animes in school like settings in other worlds.

Although, I doubt anything will change soon (especially with the Coronavirus) if this ever happens, that will force animes to not just move away from loli's, but from middle and high school shows in general for fear of being banned. This could be the rise of my favorite genre of anime: Seinen. More intelligent and adult shows. The best animes in the world are anime like Vinland Saga, GhostITS 2GIG, Gintama, Samurai Champloo, Black Lagoon, etc... And studios would move towards that and away from underage teens. A season filled with animes that have no squeaking loli's? No more sleeping in class jokes? No more panty shots of 14 year olds? ALL FOR IT. I would have no problem at all with seeing Loli's and the scenarios they appear in die.

Doubt anything happens because most people aren't THAT stupid. And some Australian law has absolutely no power over Japan.

There's really not that much loli fanservice in regular anime anyway, super easy to avoid, even if little things like Kanna trigger you. And when it comes to hentai stuff, disgusting as it is, it harms noone. it's just fiction. let the deviants do their shit it's not like it's ever thrown at our faces is it. You have to go looking for it to find.

Honestly, going out of your way to advocate for banning of this stuff when there's literally 0 harm caused is such a baffling thing to me. You people honestly have no real problems if you think ANY effort whatsoever should be spent to chase some basement perverts masturbating to drawings.

anyway I have seen similar talks for as long as i've been into anime and nothing ever really happened.
even if such laws would ever get more popular no one is gonna waste resources to enforce that crap

Only and I am stressing this, only if violent criminals actually admit that anime influenced them to commit crimes. Or
if they were inspired or copied what happened in some anime, could any political figure get a justification for banning any sort of anime content.

Proof that anime was essential in committing a crime or was the source of inspiration for a crime. Then and only then could it be banned in any way. But I very much doubt that even if possible, its
improbable that a convict would admit to anime being an essential trigger for him to commit his/her crime.

This makes no sense and showcases your minimal (critically so to even mention criminality) knowledge of criminal precedence and psychological evaluation of the violent criminals.
The shooter at Atlanta Batman screeding said "Subscribe to PewDiePie". Does it mean that the mentioned channel's content is responsible for the criminal insanity of the individual? Does that create a precedent under which the channel has to be taken down to avoid the "creation" of further criminals?

The criminal might as well lie. He might go "peruse" several children, and then claim he got fed up with simply viewing drawn children on-line. Does it mean this twisted "culture" creates criminals (it does)? Or does it mean that this particular criminal wanted to paint it as such? Thus initiating a crackdown on drawn children, and ultimately leading to less deviants being introduced to the society in the course of several next generations.

I advise no one to even try to cross this into the "crime" section, as I am afraid your knowledge and wisdom is not enough to grasp the complexity of something as intricate. The thread in question is first and foremost of moral origin.
