My Anime Ratings (Based Solely on Enjoyment):

10 - An all-time favorite. Either an anime I had an immensely strong emotional connection to, or in my opinion is the absolute best of its respective genre. Shows that I will probably have re-watched multiple times and still enjoy as if it was the first time.

9 - Amazing anime that do close to everything right for me and are nearly or just as entertaining as my 10s, but that don’t connect to me as strongly on a personal level or are outclassed by another anime in its genre. Generally, the highest score I will give to an anime without a re-watch or longer reflection period.

8 - Great anime that either offer something unique compared to other anime I like or strongly execute on their concept, but don’t quite reach the level of enjoyment to be one of my favorites. Lowest score that I am likely to re-watch in full.

7 - Good anime that I don’t have any major issues with and definitively enjoy. Usually solid shows that may not do anything to groundbreaking, but that display consistent competency in what they are going for. Cutoff for shows I would easily recommend to other people.

6 - Anime that I am overall glad I watched but had something holding me back from liking them more. If I were to go back in time with no knowledge of any anime, shows rated 6 are the worst anime that I would still want myself to watch.

5 - Anime that I am either completely neutral on, or that had a roughly equal number of positives and negatives. I don’t regret watching them, but if given the choice would probably not go back and do so unless I was really bored.

4 - Anime that are generally either boring or bad overall but had something going for them that I liked. May have had some enjoyable moments, a few good episodes, a cool character, or an appealing premise, but just didn’t execute well enough for it to be an enjoyable experience as a whole.

3 - Anime that are really bad, and I got next to no enjoyment out of. May have had one or two elements that acted as a saving grace, but other than that these anime were an awful experience.

2 - Anime that are terrible and I hated watching, but that do not make me angry when I remember them and that I don’t feel a need to complain about to other people. Shows I actually have to force myself to sit through. I don't drop many shows, but most of my dropped shows would likely end up scored here.

1 - Similar to shows rated 2 in quality, but also have something specific they do that annoys me personally to a level that somehow make me dislike them even more than usual. Does things so badly that just remembering the anime makes me angry. Shows that I wish I could erase from my memory.
