| Reading his tweets, it seems like he's gonna write an epilogue? "I think there is!" I believe is what he wrote, replying to a fan. It ends in 8 volumes but, I don't know which chapter this is from the last 8th volume if he's saying there might be a epilogue?... Or he's being sarcastic? I want a full new continuation, not just a fucking epilogue. At least but ... I want long chapters of their love. It's what we've been waiting for!!! |

| this CANNOT be the very last chapter, there's gotta be more that he's workin on bcus this ending is kinda eh, y'know? the build up was meh and the ending was meh and i need a proper ending for the other characters or like an omake or few to close it all out, it just feels unrefined if ur pickin up what im puttin down. I mean if it really is the LAST LAST chapter then, fine, I enjoyed it's long run. |

| At the end we got a kiss and a couple. Rushed last arc but delivered. I think some people forget what this manga was about and why they started reading it: really funny gags and comfy interactions. The buildups were an eventual additional plus and lets face it, the way this handled things at the end was somehow predictable. It was a 4koma romcom after all so it didnt need to be so damn good, but hell god it was. |

I think the ending wouldn't actually be that bad if it was a romcom, and frankly it isn't that bad at all, but remembering this manga for what it was, the ending does not do justice to it nor to the other characters (especially Misuzu, since Carol kinda allready had her ending). |

| I finally finished this manga after 5 years, and I can finally say this: tomboys are the best. This manga was hilarious and heartfelt to the very end, so while I'm kind of sad it's completed, I still appreciate its conclusion. |

| Having reread it now for the second time years later, I forgot how great and powerful it was in the dramatic moments; Misuzu crying in shame that she manipulated Tomo into changing herself to avoid her from dating Jun by making their relationship awkward, Misaki's moment of rage, and Carol sobbing upon her delusion of being rejected by him. I faintly remembered Misuzu and Carol being favorite entertainers but I forgot how great Misuzu was as a blunt complex sadist. I remembered how oddly adorable Carol was, and I greatly enjoyed experiencing her again. It was sweet to relive Tomoko at her best; being embarrassed, developing overall, and her charm as the kind and fearless girl she is. The last volume still leaves me frustrated in how short and fast it feels compared to everything else. Obviously it's because of the disappointment from not having more of the main protagonists live as a couple. Carol and Misaki's own romance wasn't shown to develop more either, and who knows what would happen with Misuzu and Tanabe. Plot-wise, it's kinda masterful how well Yanagida Fumita creates each character's goals, issues and obstacles revolving around their personalities. The dynamic he portrays is excellent as well. Aside from the lesser supporting characters being left out, the main character's backstories were great and how it each affected their love for their partner in; Tomo x Jun and Misaki x Carol. Overall though, the romance is sweet, but it stands out as a romcom with a great concept with fantastically hysterical and priceless comedy. The many shocking, supernatural, ridiculous or whatever type of moments are extremely funny every time. If there was a far lengthier epilogue with more development of the main cast couples and a bit more from the supporting characters, I'd probably rate it higher, but it concretely stays as a strong 8/10. I've enjoyed Yanagida's latest One-Shots with some that would be intriguing as manga, but I hope he makes a short sequel of this manga at least, if not a long one. If not- whatever. We're getting an anime which I wasn't expecting anymore but am overjoyed, and was hoping for originally. Hopefully it's a full proper good adaptation. |
