| I don't really have any particular preference, but I guess it can make villain more sympathetic if that's what show is going for. It's also better to see aesthetically pleasing character rather than displeasing one. But making villain ugly can also be used well. So it's quite case by case imo. |

| Well, you know what they say about beautiful people, they're often ugly on the inside. I have to like the character in order to think they're sexy, that kinda generally excludes villains unless they become anti-heroes. Maybe with the possible exception of Beatrice (Umeneko no Naku Koroni) hot as hell, but unfortunately she's a sick, twisted, sadistic, murdering bitch. |

| Someone for me is evil based off their actions, not their looks. I wish more writers would stop making villains seem so obvious based on their looks alone. It comes off as lazy most of the time. But they won't. It's an easy way to set villains up without doing the work it takes to make viewers judge them based off of more complicated things. |

| It's a mixed bag for me personally. The greatest example for me would be Esdeath from Akame ga Kill. While she has good qualities unlike most antagonist from the same show, she's still evil. Being all "Might makes Right" and torturing innocent people for fun. Honestly, I don't know if it's just my hormones or not, but I kind of feel sorry with her and wish she would've lived and changed in the end. To end my rambling while I love Esdeath, the thing I don't love is her cruel personality and while that may balanced out, it's kind of frustrating. To be honest, Esdeath is the only evil character who made me feel this way so I can't say the same for anyone else who fit this trope. |

I don't think I can really be attracted to someone in real life or in fiction if I consider them detestable as a person. Despite what some people on here say, Misa from Death Note would actually be really attractive to me. But she's a murderer and worships an even bigger murderer, so that kills it lol. I guess for me I'd much rather the "sexy" characters be the ones I can admire as a person too. |

| Well it is a Trope that actually makes some sense. I mean Evil comes with mostly paired with Confidence and Charm. And thus they are more likely to flaunt with their assets or dress extravagant like Doffy and Junko. But it really depends on what type of Villain you are going with. What if the Villain is just a crazy serial killer or a Motherly type of villain? Then they don't need to look sexy. In the end the Villain's design has to make sense with their personality. Would a Motherly Villain dress like a slut? No Would a villain with traditional values dress provocatively? That depends. Would a Fem Fatale dress Sexually? Yes. I guess it depends on the character for me. Usually it works, but in some cases their being sexy clashes with the rest of their character. I went and googled sexy anime villain to think of some examples and Flare from Fairy Tail came up. She's a good example of when it doesn't work for me. |

I mean her face and all says that she hasn't been fed well/has been abused so why give her these curves? These curves say that she has been fed well! So the curves contradict her design and personality. Her design would have been better if her curves were smaller. Fairy tail idea of sexyness is just giving characters a big rack anyway. |
