So that's it...

After all the rivalries and battling, we got the series' finale that leaves somewhat of an ending imo. Chikage's wises words better be taken to heart by Yuuka.

I don't know, I am feeling a bit upset that ending wasn't what I expected.

A laid back ending despite the cliffhanger of last week tho i was expecting something like this.
It seems there will be new challenges up ahead for Yuuka and with the new rules things might be chaotic for the team but it will probably work out somehow.
Tho it's questionable wether there will be a second season.
An OVA would be nice tho.

The road finishing circlet princess was very long, but finally we are here!

I really liked the final fight, always had a soft spot for hand to hand combat.

So there's new rules and regulations after that fight. Whoever's running the game probably saw Yuuka and CHikage pulling powerups out of thin air and decided wait, that's not fair lol

6/10, gonna bump it to 7 since I'm just happy we finally got to the last episode

If it was fun because the girls were fun but the execution and development was pretty average. Also, was expecting more of the "final fight".

6/10 cause I didn't mind watching it.

They showed at the end during the ED song.

The Hologram in front of the stadium changes, and it showed Yuuka wearing the Princess Crown. IE: Yuuka won and Chikage decides to go oversea to train.

___ ___ ___

Also... team fights now... I wonder why Yuuka and gang would have difficulties with this... didn't they also trained together as a team before?

Not to mention, Yuuka should still be able to "carry" just like in all other PvP games (even RL sport games).

Feels like the new rules is meant to literally weaken Yuuka and gang purposely. And even tho it isn't mentioned, but they hinted the "weapons regulations" meant they removed Yuuka's weapon and everyone have to use regulated weapons now. No more personalized weapons allowed...

Which literally goes against what the entire episode 1 to episode 11 is about... training with your weapon and become one with it... LUL @ Rules.

___ ___ ___

No more Fun Allowed

Whale to Win now, since schools with higher budget can get better facilities to practice team fights. Which requires a LARGER SPACE than single person training.

(remember, Yuuka and gang struggled HARD to even get enough budget/ Credit just for a personalized Yuuka weapon... Think how much more they'll need to get a facility large enough where everyone can practice together... pretty sure you can't have 5 ppls practice running around in a small classroom... LUL)

Did not expect the final episode to be a brutal hand to hand combat. Yuuka get inspired by G-Kun at the last moment, which let her have the win. Glad to know G-kun never disappeared, he still watches over Yuuka, and will appear in desperate times when she needs him.

WTF, the new rules just nerfed all the hard work of Yuuka and friends. Not pleased on this decision by the writers... so anime receives a final score of 6.

I can't believe I waited all of this time for proper subs...and got this. Certainly not the mindless fun I was expecting. The only thing keeping me watching were the character designs which I quite liked, especially their faces looking so bright, lively and pretty. (and their bodies being well-built and sexy)

I think the problem was the show having a warped perspective, where victories and battles seemed to happen in isolation, except for the ghostly cheering from an audience we hardly ever see.

And so the final, ultimate evolutionary pinnacle of the high-tech combat sport that is Circlet Bout turns out to be...

So Chikage decides to leave Japan because of the new battle royal rules, I guess she wasn't much of a team player that one. I wish they showed us the final full match, I hated that about this series. But Yuuka won since she was shown wearing that gold tiara in that hologram, guess she's the circlet princess. Not psyched about the new coach though!

Overall this had potential but was really messed up. The idea was there but the delivery was underwhelming on both animation and the plot.

But I enjoyed it a bit. 7/10

Oh well, so they really did it... in the end they did skip the final part of the battle. LoL

Their first battle (episode 01) was more exciting than this last one.

By the way, I am still bothered by the fact that Yuka's weapon broke 3 times? That literally became a cliche lol

Well the two of them basically broke the game while they were at it.

It's also mentioned in the lengthy article that Ayumu digs up, but you can only see that as a freeze-frame bonus.

I think Nina is probably the best at this but aside from her the rest of them have mainly trained in 1-on-1 battles and they probably slacked off on training after their epic win.

I think this is basically the sports league deciding on its rules vs. the AI engineer who invented it trying to use it as a way to advance AI tech.

Battlefield/training space never exactly made normal physical sense in this show anyway. I just chalked it up to the MR tech being its own weird thing.

I think that was just the evolutionary pinnacle for their two combat styles, though overall it does seem like this is a sport that prioritizes speed and reflexes, by enhancing the normal limits of human capability, so it'd actually make sense that their ultimate weapons would just be what they turned out to be.

They did say that she'd be retiring after this school year anyway, so presumably she graduated and went up to a pro level. And, ever since the very first episode, we were informed that money from spectatorship was a thing in this sport, so if Chikage is better-trained at 1v1, then it'd make sense for her to go pro in a venue that still does 1v1.

Yeah I would have loved more explicit detail of the fights and their tactics. That would have been more fun.

So Yuka won the final match but they really cut it at the end? that's stupid, I wanted to see her actually win and not just seeing the crown during the ending.
But well overall it was entertaining but still a meh/ok anime, the concept of a VR sport is pretty good but not too developed unfortunately, I expected to see more.
Also the characters are cliché/forgettable, same for the character design but at least I really like the bright colors for their hair.

Congratulations, Yuuka! You really became the Circlet Princess. She's wearing that tiara at the end.

Overall, this was a very good show. I liked the characters, animation, and action scenes.

That was a cute show. The Union blue combat uniforms reminded me of the archer girl from StarOcean 4. In fact, the whole sci-fi vibe of the show was like StarOcean. I wish the cola girl with the guns got to fight more. She had one match and then in another she threw a grenade, and that was it. I don't even know why she joined the club since they never let her fight.
