Hello everyone, as the title says, do you prefer ongoing or completed anime? Personally, I prefer completed anime because i like binging and I can't wait one week for an episode... There are some exceptions, like one piece (lol) and the last season of fairy tail... I often watch ongoing anime, if they are valuable ahah.
P.S: Sorry for my bad english.

I'd watch both, but I prefer something that's finished so that I know what I'm getting into (how many episodes) and have everything available to watch at my own pace.

The completed anime is better for me. Waiting a week makes i lose a bit of interest for the anime. Although sometimes gives a bit of suspense.

Although I also like to binge, when a seasonal anime does a good job keeping the tension between episodes, so that every episode makes me excited to see what happens in the next one, week after week, is a feeling that you obviously can't get from binge, or at least not to that degree.
The problem is that I haven't seen many seasonals that have really given me that feeling lately.

Completed shows, of course.
It allows me to watch it at my own pace, however I want to.

But then again, I keep up with a lot of seasonals because watching it weekly along with the episode discussions and all are quite interesting too.

I never watch shows that are ongoing. I get too impatient waiting one episode at a time so I find it easier for myself to just ignore it altogether until the show is done. Just my preference really.

I don't "truly" prefer one over the other, but I have a de facto preference for completed series, because:

1. I like watching stuff on my own schedule. I don't like binging like ten episodes at a time, but I usually do watch like 1-4 episodes at a time, once every few days or so. It really varies though.

2. I don't go out of my way to discover new series, and instead I just use my PTW or do a general search for the attributes I'm looking for, which means I'm more likely to pick up series that are already completed.

I prefer watching completed shows so I can take a break whenever I want knowing that I won't miss anything out. But on the other hand, watching ongoing series is fun too, as it keeps up the hunger and excitement the previous episode left you with.

It's better this way.
A little lonelier,
but better.

I prefer both equally.
I like to feel that someone is watching at the same time as I am.

I like weekly stuff. Watching those doesn't make me feel like I'm burning through titles. If I'm really into the watching anime mood, I'll binge (rarely), but I prefer weekly stuff. Stuff like Shield Hero and Mob Psycho 2 are so worth the wait because otherwise I'd be burning through them in 2 days! When shows are being released weekly, I find it easier to become more invested as well. It also gives me something to look forward to.

It depends on the genre tbh. Drama/Tragedy is best to be watched when completed otherwise you can get easily decieved and rate it to high/low for yourself. You can even lose any connection to the characters/story if there are some filler or lighter "beach episodes" in it.

Comedy/SoL on the other hand is easy to watch weekly it just works better than more serious anime in that regard. Same goes for more action focused anime which are also easily watchable on a weekly base.

Overall it is ofc always better to watch completed ones except for maybe originals, where noone knows how the story goes and you're able to discuss about it.

I like both.

Watching ongoing series gives me a possibility to have fun schedule and shuffling those titles. Binging is also great but... there are not too many good titles that you can rewatch later so... it probably depends. But when I learn that there is good anime that I didn't saw yet I'm trying to catch up asap.

If it's a good show, then completed so I can watch it at my own pace instead of having to wait weekly

If it's a bad show, then I like it better when it's ongoing, so at least my mentality would be more like "There's only 1 ep to catch up" rather than "God there's still 10 more eps of this"

I prefer completed animes. It allows me to watch as many episodes as I want. I get anxious if I have to wait one week (or more) for each episode.

Made the decision to never watch ongoing stuff again. Completed anime (adaptation/story-wise) only. Never been happier and seeing a story through to its conclusion is a satisfying experience.

Completed. Dictating my own pace that I watch the series at is fucking awesome, and I don't really see any upsides to watch seasonally unless I'm trying to be topical for the sake of conversation. Which I don't especially care about, so eh.

I've found that I have trouble finishing stuff seasonally and that it exhausts me, even. I have to really force it if I do so and that is a huge negative.

Ongoing if it's an anime that doesn't have a substantial plot to it. Completed or more than halfway done if a person has to keep track of certain events often.

This depends. I like watching a few seasonals just to keep up with memes/discussions and whatnot, and it gives me some shows to look forward to throughout the week, but I mostly prefer binging completed series.

I watch both, not going to wait weeks just to start a show so I can binge it though. If it's already completed I watch it at my own pace.
