What is the hottest ecchi anime? I'm turned off by most ecchi anime, because the fan service happens without the girls' consent. But with Highschool DxD: not only are the girls sexy, but they're sexually aggressive. |

Yosuga no Sora. As much wincest incest as there is, it's honestly pretty much borderline hentai. And by that I mean it's not just fanservice tease but the characters actually have sex... A lot of it Also Kiss x Sis is actually pretty lewd at times. Again incest though (seems like incest is a pretty hot topic huehuheuheuhe) |

OP it sounds like you're not into accidental character development. You may have been turned off by all the other generic harem animes, but I have the cure! To Love Ru the anime deceives you into believing it's generic when it actually is. You'll be more focused on why the hell your purposely wrong predictions are correct then on looking at the boobies. You will begin to pity the main guy character as he goes through all these different situations, unaware as to how screwed he really is. 9/10 if the mc didn't have brown hair then maybe it would be a 10/10 |

Keijo is the best ecchi anime I've seen, and Harukana Receive also gets an honorable mention. Nothing better than a sports anime with an all-girl cast. Just on a hot girl cast and not fanservice wise, Ikkitousen does have the best selection. In terms of "forceful" fanservice, tv series don't usually have the hottest scenes anyways. That's more along the lines of the franchise's specials or ovas i.e HsoTD's Drifters, Grisaia's specials, Shinmai OVA, Aki-sora If you want to restrict to TV then it's either Monster Musume or Shinmai for me. if trinity Seven involved more liselotte Sherlock, then I would have considered it as stronger candidate |

I don't understand what's sexy about To Love Ru: the fan service scenes happen on accident, and the girls look really young. While the girls in Highschool DxD are underage, at least they have the bodies of grown-ass women. I'd kind of consider it a stretch to say that a lot of the girls in TLR look like they have really young bodies. Yami, Nana, and Mikan, and *maybe* Momo, but I don't really think Momo would be in the same league as the other three. Then there's Run, Lala, Yui, Saki, Tearju, Mikado-sensei, Risa, so on and so forth, who pretty much lie on the opposite end and have pretty adult bodies. The main thing I always kind of perceived with TLR is that it didn't really rely on exaggerated proportions as heavily as a lot of other ecchi series did. There are girls with big tits, like Run and Lala, but they're not like, the sort of stereotypical-ecchi rack but still undeniably big. There are girls who aren't really big or small like Haruna or Momo, there's kind-of-sort-of on the smaller side like Yami, there's flat like Nana, so on and so forth. Tearju and Mikado kind of end up going in that direction with the somewhat exaggerated proportions, and that's fine and cool by me, TLR kind of has a good spread of a little bit of everything in pretty much every direction. There's also just the attention to detail in how they're drawn. Run's butt is kind of boy-ish, for example, whereas Lala's is a lot more curvy. So on and so forth. Yabuki is a master at drawing and designing characters and then featuring them as having certain features rather consistently. As for the accidents, it's kind of a part of the comedy in how absurd they push that element of it, but to say that it's just always accidents is pretty much hyperbole, and even then, cutting out all of the non-accident scenes, the reactions the girls give to said accident scenes can differ pretty drastically. Run responds super positively to stuff like that and actively seeks to invoke it and create it herself. Lala, Risa, Momo, Nemesis - all pretty aggressive in different ways about how they pursue these things and don't get flustered or upset about it, even respond well. On the opposite end there's girls like Yui, Nana, and Yami who don't respond positively at all to these sorts of things. It's a give and take, the series tends to balance itself out in different ways. Basically, there's a shitton of diversity in the way the characters respond and look and I think it's pretty short-sighted or even outright dishonest to try and paint it like it's just childish looking characters who get flustered with accidents or whatever. I also think it pushes the envelope with a lot of its scenarios compared to the majority of ecchi series. The amount it shows, whether directly or subliminally (the manga is kind of famous for using the environment to slip shit past censors), isn't something I've really seen be matched, and it brings in different contexts depending on the grouping or the single characters involved (Run's fake photoshoot, Yui's phone call, the ice cream thing with Momo, Haruna's fucking dog, so on and so forth). It isn't all accidents whatsoever, it's just the most prominent part because it toys with that trope to such an absurdity that it becomes a major part of the identity surrounding the series. I've always considered it a form of revelry based on what's in the series itself, though, like TTGL does with mecha tropes and how it pushes them. The falls are caused by far less than in other series, happen much quicker, and are far more surreal and unbelievable and lead to a lot more than just "oh look hand on boob" in the majority of cases. The series knows how dumb it gets with that, and includes bits like the girls trying to scientifically deduce just why that motherfucker trips so much as one of the comedy bits, and the way it uses that self-awareness is through pushing it into absurdity. It's...really, really self-aware about it when it does bring it in, and it's kind of comedic with how stupid it lets itself be about. The thing with DxD, on the other hand, was that I found it to be...incredibly basic. It relies primarily on simple exposure and solo shots of girls, even when something involving multiple is taking place, it slows down and does everything in an individual still, kind of like the tentacle scene in the first OVA. It's not as reliant on contextualization or the circumstances surrounding the ecchi, and when it does it's kind of light and simple. Pinning on bed. Tentacles. Dissolving clothes in a fight. It doesn't do anything to make it bombastic or absurd or notable in any way. It's pretty standard fare. The only main difference I see between it and the most basic stereotype of a "safe" ecchi series is that the girls actively invoke it as much as possible, as opposed to being much else, but even then it's only *some* of them that try for that and others...not so much. If I stop trying to compare it to other series I actually consider to be great ecchi, then I love it and have a great time with it. But if I hold it to the same standard, it's...really, really fucking simple and kind safe about it in a lot of ways and I just don't think it holds up as well in this regard specifically if you end up being into ecchi in general. I wouldn't even put it in my top 10 in this regard, and I think it's kind of like, Iunno, the gateway series for a lot of people who get into these things that doesn't usually hold up as well. It has a lot more mainstream appeal with stuff like the battle shounen elements, and by portraying things as (almost, not every girl in DxD is a super aggressive sexual beast like you seem to be painting it as, some do responding very negatively to the lewdness, most notably Koneko) purely aggressive it makes it seem more lewd than it actually ends up being once you take that context out of it. It's more or less baby's first ecchi in my book. I think it's really, really fucking good at being baby's first ecchi, but...yeahhhhhhh. I don't really think it's that much when held up against a lot of its contemporaries, and I think that it not being as much is kind of why it caught on easier outside of the niche who absolutely adores shit like this. |

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to read a post THAT long, when we're talking about an ecchi series. |
