ROTFLMAO

The youngest dwarf brother reminded me of Hodor from GoT, well kinda.

He produced the raw materials, a high quality and processed one at that, then produced 19 copies of that high quality long sword easily so he deserved all that all elven boobies.
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Damn, this is huge improvement from the last episode. I love when this show doesn't take itself seriously, kinda like overpower themed konosuba. I hope this show stays in slice of life comedic manner for the entire run-time.
I also appreciate the interesting ideas that keep coming and how well they executed it.

When Rimuru said E.I.L.F. I lost it LOL.

It kept that modern day feel which I thought was hilarious.

Great episode.

Oh dear... based on the constantly updated images on twitter #tensura I could see where the episode ended and if the pace keeps as is until the end of the anime, then we'll get one of the biggest cliffhangers of all time in the end... I feel conflicted, because on one hand I really love the pace (i.e. no rushing), but 6 episodes per LN volume? Ending on volume 4 with a cliffhanger? I really wished the anime would show us volume 5 because that's where things really start going crazy and where several plot threads start getting resolved. To stop right before that is such a tease~

Well, maybe the pace picks up a bit after vol. 1 ends or maybe things will be skipped to keep it as "manga-exclusive content" or something like that. We'll see.

Most likely things will be skipped.
The opening does not show the beast people that appears in the manga so most likely they will not appear.
Maybe after the orc disaster it will move to hinata who appears in the

Hot Elves, oh Rimuru you lucky bastard slime. And new ability of copying. Glad see the diversity of races in this show. So far this remained entertaining albeit slow pace, but well its 24 eps, I'm not running off patience.

Ngl I was slightly disappointed by this episode. It felt a bit like that Smartphone Isekai with how the MC just conveniently has the ability to solve the problems of people around him.

I am enjoying the change of ED each episode tho lol

Eh, the first episode was a bit deceiving. It's slowly seeming more like just another generic isekai with a cheater MC. It hasn't enough parodic vibes to keep it going, kinda like how Monogatari ends up being a harem itself despite parodying the genre, and it's not really funny at all. I mean, the "slime" bit had some actual relevance in the first few minutes of the first episode and then in the second he's already a god, eh. The sword cloning was specially dumb, and the slime laughing/voice is getting on my nerves.

It's still fun till now, at least. I hope I'm wrong. If it keeps like this I'll end up dropping . I'll read the manga and see how it goes.

Next episode should introduce the first character since Veldora that's definitly stronger than Rimuru. And the next few will introduce even more such characters. A god? lol, nope, at this stage Rimuru is still pretty much a weakling who can't even reach the feet of the true powerhouses.

Rimuru still can only rely on magic perception to see. If someone can jam that, he is blind and pretty much dead in an instant.
He can mimic another creature to use their eyes, but he doesn't have much experience with those bodies yet and would easily lose against any stronger opponents in such a situation.

There are also many other ways he could get wrecked if he met the wrong opponent.

The power gaps in this series can be enormous.

I will keep watching, but I honestly don't like it. Rimuru is annoying and overly op, imo. This episode was ok, but it was paced weirdly, and I honestly did not like the dwarves.

Quick stupid, but I think interesting thought. Why is he excited in elf girls? He has no balls, literally. Also, why were the dwarves laughing about it knowingly? He could really be a boy or a girl, or rather, he's nothing. He is a blob.

I know I am in the minority of opinions on this show, and I hope it gets better.

Love y'all, have a great day.

This series foreshadows most of the stuff that happens properly. Heck, even the Ecchi scene was done so. It was not "random", but rather something that was fully intented by the characters by actually going to an elf-hostess-club. By the way, this was the most Ecchi scene of the ENTIRE series, so don't worry about this series going any further on that "path".

As for power gaps... if it comes to last-second power ups, then I can say that they don't happen. At most it's along the lines of using an older skill that didn't have much use up until then or using a different application of various skills while relying on Great Sage's information processing capabilities to make it work smoothly and possibly catching the audience by surprise with that, but there's generally no deus-ex-machinas. I mean this show seems to take the explanations of the various skills very seriously enough for us to keep track of them. It's one of the main features of this series.

I'm really loving this anime. I didn't expect I was going to like it this much! And 8bit.... I can't believe they're actually making a great adaptation for once. Their animation could be all over the place in the past, but the animation here has been excellent. Hopefully they can continue this quality in the future!

Assuming that the average walking speed is around 3 miles per hour and that no breaks were taken between the Goblin and Dwarf city, how fast were the Tempest wolves running and what is the distance traveled between the Goblin Village and Dwargon?

ok, I get curious and did the math...

I read that an average adult walking make 5~6 km/h... for skinny little goblins would be way less (the information about the time they take to get there is from before the transformation)... will consider 4km/h...

let's consider they would travel only while there's light... let's say, 12 hours, from 6am to 6pm... (don't really make difference, since the wolves will use the same amount of time... but is just for get a closer number for the distance)

so, 12 hours of walk at 4km/h = 48km per day... what make, in two months; 2880km of distance between the goblin village and the dwarf city

if the tempest wolves use the same 12 hours per day, they would make 2880km in 36hours
what make their average speed 80km/h ... what is far less than some known real animals (the cheetah can make 120km/h).

I am not liking this anime for me in terms of entertaining and badass this main character is nothing compare to Ainz for me. Childish, not taking anything really seriously, overpower and typical isekai personality traits. Really not impress with this anime and main characters

Plus where others main supporting characters besides main character its definetly not those goblins and elfs?

Hoping for others main supporting character being more entertaining to watch. Plus hoping that this plot actually get somewhere. Main character would stop nonsensing around.

What I like the setting and premise But I have to say I am not impress with this anime. Hoping for the best that this anime does not dissapoint for next episode and so on.

Nooo! In the beginning, I expected something more in truth from this episode and not so much fanservice; some guys, they're taking it easy. Narration nice and fun, but that ultimately plays only on the comedy. The protagonist remains sympathetic, but I would have liked a less goliardic and more serious narration in certain situations.

The manga lists their traveling speed as 50mph and it took them three days. I did the math for this some while ago as follows.

72 hours of overall travel so 3 days exact

50mph Travel speed.

6 to 7 hours of sleep and 1 hour rest period during travel so 7 to 8 hours of non travel time per day.

7 to 8 hours of non travel time times times the 3 days equals 21 to 24 hours of non travel time.

Now subtract those times from the 72 hours and you get 48 to 51 hours of overall travel time.

Now multiply that by their travel speed of 50mph and you get between 2400 to 2550 miles from the Goblin Village to Dwargon.

Basically from Atlanta, Georgia to San Francisco, California.

Here's a visual aid.

https://turbo.paulstamatiou.com/uploads/2010/05/stammy_krystyl_sf_roadtrip_1200.jpg

According to Google Maps it's about a 34 day hike and given goblins were so small, then it perfectly fits(actually the two months is round trip so the numbers are perfectly exact). What this tells us more than anything, is that the Great Forest of Jura is FUCKING MASSIVE since it took them all of those three days to get out of the forest and into the plains leading to the Canaat Mountains where Dwargon is located.

Pace may seem a bit slow, but it's still better than overlord 2 - 3's pace. Besides, there're no other isekai series worthy enough to fill the gap left by overlord, so 8/10 for this anime

I honestly don't like when shows do that. Showing things in the OP that don't happen in the first 3 episodes should be considered a spoiler.

Some shows can get away with it by making the spoilers very subtle, so you don't actually notice them until they happen in the show. See Hunter x Hunter (2011) OP #5 for reference.

don't understand why people shat on death march but find this enjoyable, it's the same exact thing except the MC is a slime

personally I dropped Death March even before I watched episode 1.

Simply because I already read the manga and know that the MC constantly have SEX with girls almost every night off-screen because MC mentions it almost every 3~5 chapters...

I don't like OP MCs that takes advantage of their OPness to just waste time and resources on SEX while they're literally surrounded by Harem in the first place.

Especially Death March's MC actually rejects his Harem's affections while having sex with strangers... WTF is even that?....

_____ _____ _____

Meanwhile the OP slime in this series, does not do random sex.

In fact, he literally is all about caring for his friends and "country". (he would do anything for them, and I do mean ANYTHING, even risking his own life)

That's the reason why people likes this series A LOT more than Death March.
