Surprise...wait, not really imo. I'm not surprised that Cho-Cho had competition going after her and trying to ruin a good thing she has going.

As far as episodes goes, it was a pretty cheesy filler mini arc although at the same time, I'm glad Cho-Cho got her moments to shine. It's much more than about Boruto this time around.

Finally it's over. This mini-arc thing was okayish. The next episode seems more interesting. I wonder when the next arc begins.

Terrible filler episode again.......well it's not like most of the canon stuff is much better but still just 1/2 good epiosodes and now they waste our time again.

So... if she offers potato chips to people she likes... does it mean that she likes Mitsuki. And given that he doesn't eat food, but was curious about her chips maybe he likes her too. Ship is real, even if it is a filler.

I wasn't surprised Ashina was the one behind all this. It seemed pretty obvious based on how much she seemed to dislike Tomaru.

"Do you think I'll get another chance someday?" Yeah bro, maybe when she's a little older. Did this dude really just propose to a 12 year old?

I can already hear the rabid shippers who ship characters for simply glancing at each other going crazy over a Mitsuki/Chocho ship since she gave him her potato chips (that she only gives to people she likes). Also, I don't remember if this was mentioned before, but I didn't realize Mitsuki doesn't eat.

Anyway, I'm just glad this filler (which could have lasted just 2 episodes tbh) is over.

Mitsuki should go on a journey or something like that to stay away from Cho Cho, he's in danger!
I hope we go back to the episodes without her.

I'm not surprised. somehow I can predict the outcome from 2 episodes before. but it's nice to see a slight change of Orochimaru eating a food.

Ooo I really like this mini arc... it was fun! Loved the representation!
this is how you start changing attuidies toward minitories in society. I’m glad Boruto decided to bring that task upon its self. Very interesting

I originally thought Tomaru was gonna be like bad-guy... and made a set up but it was our queen... still her mind 😌✨

Anyways I’m ready for the next storyline :)

Oh my god. Just what I wanted... A crappy episode.
It was so cringy, from start to end; or boring climax and action that could put me to sleep, all alongside the fact that those shouts from the characters making it worse... Seriously, didsarada really need to be going all "channaro" over the events, it wrecks the whole "channaro" vibes we got from sakura.

And then we were taught about potato chips:
"It's not the flavour that counts, it is if the potato used is rotten or pure that matters," 'cause I apparently want life lessons in the form of a potato. Frickin' hell

In other news, skinny Cho Cho is buff; but having said that, I know realise that she's like ten years old or something... Aagghh, via, I just lewded a loli, dammit!

well if it's a filler the ship can be Canon (as we know how ships in narutoverse is pull out of ass) and this filler was not only for cho-cho as we see in the end that mitsuki also understand that what's important is the core (while he was talking to orochimaru)

The only good thing I can say about this episode is that it finally closes this god-darn awful filler saga. Even if the next one is also a filler I really doubt it can be worse or even as bad as this one.

Same, I got tricked into thinking Tomaru is the culprit, the previous and this episode made it look like Tomaru was doing a victim culprit thing and was setting this all up. Well played Pierrot. Now I can't hate on this mini-arc, it's still so-so tho

I'm glad everything turned out okay and I appreciate Chocho's growth a lot. BUT on one hand, going the "independent black women who don't need no man" route is honestly not one I wanted to think about. It further pushes the idea that black women and in this case heavy-set women as well don't need love and choose that because of their attitudes.

On the other hand, if I ignore that then I actually really like the idea of Chocho saying, "You know what? Eff it. I have stuff to do and don't want to be weighed down by a partner". Much like how I appreciate the HECK out of Tenten's choice to stay single. You go girl!

And on the other... I've run out of hands, so on one foot, Chocho actually didn't say anything about not wanting another woman in her life. :U -brick'd-

But either way, she gave Mitsuki her potato chips right after saying she only gives potato chips to people she likes. I think it was more of a "thank you for reminding me"-- and she did say some kinda bad things to Mitsuki last episode, so I guess maybe she's saying that despite that, no hard feelings and you're still liked. She did mention that she's the type who let's go and doesn't hold on to the past.

If there was a little more romance in the potato chip exchange, I think maybe she just meant that right now in her life, she doesn't need a man to hold her back from what she's trying to do (like how Tomaru held her back during the mission). Because the point is, she's a child. She's still growing. Like, I don't even think she's legal in the NARUTO universe let alone ours. I think she's realized that, and considering that was a big part of her character, this arc has been a huge character development point for her.

Actually writing-wise, everything came full circle. They established things in the beginning-- even really small things. And if you look back on it all, even those really small things were wrapped up pretty well. They could have actually shown Chocho training again and taking it seriously, but I think it's kinda more implied that they had just had a relatively successful training session and were already on lunch break, so it's fine. BUT it just probably would have been more impactful. Still, it was a pretty well done arc if I really look through it.

I do want to say if Chocho and Mitsuki does happen, then dang they've had more on screen interaction than SOME pairings I know before they were pairings. -koff koff- Need not look any further than Chocho's parents. -koff- Aside from the ones in this arc, there actually have been some scenes with Chocho and Mitsuki at odds but also sometimes some misinterpretations on Chocho's part about whether Mitsuki likes her or not. So I'm really impressed that those scenes, in addition to the ones in this arc, have lead up to this moment. Like some relations seem forced, but this one is slowly starting to add up, and I really appreciate that whether it happens or not.
I actually wouldn't mind if they became a thing, but I kinda doubt it. Mitsuki kinda even said that despite the GOOD quality (regardless of the flavor), he's just not fond of the taste of potato chips (Chocho). Chocho can never get a break... but at least she did get an arc. :U

Anyway, I like Chocho even more after these episodes. She did wrong, she did right, she learned, and she grew. Beautiful.

I enjoy the length of your comment, haha! Most people hardly take the time to address multiple aspects of an episode they watched.

I too believe this filler arc wasn't all that bad. It was well written that it didn't leave anything unanswered even though for me there was no doubt who the culprit was midway the arc, haha.

I'm a chubby woman slowly losing weight and having struggled with selfimage for many years now, so Chocho's story resonates with me and I am overjoyed to see she has learned to accept what she is (although of course she manages to take it to a new level omg haha) Not saying being chubby is more healthy, but it starts with accepting yourself first and then figuring out what you want (and want to change).

Chocho giving Mitsuki potato chips was very amusing. Mitsuki is so enstranged that he finds a lot interesting where another person would just sigh and move on. But Mitsuki using his experience to come to terms with his parent situation was nice to see and gave the potatochips exchange more meaning.

Overall the arc was okay to me, but I'll be glad to return to more action filled episodes now :D

Thank you! ;o; Ha hah, this arc gave me so much to think about. And despite the general plot being relatively predictable, I wasn't sure what the exact message was going to be, and that was what left me interested!

Good luck on the weight loss! But yeah! I really enjoyed how they really drove home that you need to accept that you're fine as a person regardless of appearance. I think a lot of us can relate to that!

HONESTLY, Mitsuki is such a fun character. I wouldn't think a character figuring out things the audience already knows would be that interesting, but I think not knowing exactly what he'll do with all the information he obtains is also what makes his observations fun and as you said, they give his scenes more meaning. ;o;

  • 4:37 This show they're directing sounds like it would be absolute trash to watch lmao. Probably something like 3.2/10 on IMDb.
  • 6:00 It's gonna be pretty funny if it turns out this grown-ass Amegakure ninja was the "rabid fan" all along. But wasn't he talking to someone else at the end of the last episode? I don't remember. Either way, it seems more likely that he would be a hitman/mercenary acting on someone else's orders.
  • 7:55 I'm like 99% sure that Tomaru and this Amegakure ninja are working together to squeeze out some extra money because his TV show sucks and probably isn't making any money.
  • 12:30 Maybe this whole arc has lowered my IQ, but I have no idea what Mitsuki is trying to get at with his potato analogy. Is he saying that Tomaru is rotten to the core, while she isn't? In which case what you look like on the outside doesn't matter. I think he's saying something like that.
  • 14:24 Wait, wait... What? So was Ashina working with the Amegakure ninja all along?
  • 14:37 Oh shit. It's Kono.
  • 18:30 I knew this arc would end with a sappy, feel-good note but I think they delivered it in a way that wasn't too cliched. I don't really like Chocho as a character, but it looked like she went through some growth here (pun not intended) and character growth is something I can always appreciate.
  • 20:20 Well, I guess Tomaru went through some growth too, if he really meant what he said. Maybe he's not as rotten as I thought he was, just ignorant.
  • 21:24 Orochimaru and Mitsuki eating chips together is not something I thought I'd ever see lmao.
Rating: 3/5

A decent ending to what was, overall, a fairly mediocre arc as a whole. I didn't hate it, but I miss the grit of the original series.
