Definitely one of the most intense fights of this arc. Naruto didn't hold back and that Rasengan he used is probably one of the best I've seen.

Felt bad for Naruto after all that effort, he couldn't defeat Isshiki. Even Sasuke didn't make a difference. And also, it looks like Kawaki was psychological challenged...damn. This was a hell of an episode.

Ah yes... the absolute pummeling and pure one-sided beating from Naruto in this episode. Tho, once again, this all comes after a great risk, their lives themselves. But, boy was it a show watching Isshiki's face with frustration and anger. After all, he's getting destroyed by none other than Naruto Uzumaki. LOL. For a short while tho, it didn't last very long. I wish he would've finished the job but unfortunately, no.

Looks like it's not over just yet. Definitely one of the most intense fights, for sure. And, we have Kawaki there in the middle of the fight now. One of the best episodes so far in this show.

This is what people wanted.

You can't disagree with me that the Choreography was absolutely one of a kind. Everything legit hyped me up and I was literally screaming at the top of my lungs. And wanna know something more? The fight on the water was anime canon content and I had no words for that. Even though they used CGI right there, it was blended in very well. The fight was much much better than in the manga. The animators were incredible.

Man, Naruto's Baryon mode is something else. In a process similar to nuclear fusion. Naruto's and Kurama's chakra are consumed as raw materials to produce a new type of energy. That's why they use the ''red'' color of a dying sun/star. The drawbacks are pretty heavy. It takes the life force and strenght of the user.

This is from the Boruto Wiki: Baryons are heavy subatomic particles that are composed of three quarks. The most common examples are protons and neutrons, which are the particles that undergo fusion in the Sun.

Even after beating the hell out of Isshiki, Naruto was unable to kill him due to him finding out that he could transport Kawaki cause he's linked to Naruto. And another fun fact; Isshiki using his eye's power with rods was another anime canon moment. THAT WAS JUST INSANE.

And the flashbacks of Kawaki; outstanding.

Naruto Uzumaki once again proves he is the goat. I swear when studio Pierrot go all out, they're almost on par with Mappa and Ufotable.

the rasengan scene at the waterfall was hands down of the most insane things I've seen in long running anime. Incredible king stuff. The scene where Isshiki was searching for Kawaki with the rods too. Absolute movie production. The flashback was directed phenomenally. Hand to hand combat had some really fking strong scenes as well.

Visually an impeccable episode. I don't care about the story telling anymore. Kishimoto is no longer a good writer, his prime has long past. No wonder his samurai manga flopped so hard.

"I can't believe he's powering up so fast" "I never knew naruto had this kind of mode"

fking meme shit but whatever.

By pure plot Ishikki pulls Kawaki into the battle using the one thing connecting Kawaki and Naruto. I stand at the Naruto series from the beginning has the best choreographed fights and today gave me more proof. As well as being able to contrast lifestyles for certain characters i.e. Naruto and Sasuke different versions of loneliness, Kawaki different versions of "father figures" between "Jigen" and Naruto most ppl will think Kawaki came out of hiding because he was afraid of the countdown. He came out to fight for the man who showed him the only ever feeling of safety, caring, and fatherly love. Kawaki will prove his resolve

Great episode I have no words, I liked the fight between Naruto and Isshiki to the fullest, especially that baryon mode I really like how it looks but still to use it requires a lot including Naruto's life. If he didn't require so much of Naruto's vitality he could beat Isshiki without a problem. But the episode went really well. Sasuke, on the other hand, had little chance against Isshiki. I don't say it in a bad name for Sasuke fans, I only say it from the point of view of their powers. But the smoke he threw really surprised me a little. I didn't think there was such smoke in which he could cancel out Byakugan's sight so he wouldn't be able to see Kawaki. Unfortunately for Naruto and the other Isshiki, fortunately for him, he found Kawaki through his chakra in the arm he uses. It was also normal from my point of view for Kawaki to come out after Isshiki threatened to take Naruto's life if he didn't come out. I was sure he would do it because he has changed a lot since he first appeared in anime now he is super gentle and not arrogant and bad as he was the first time and because he cares about Naruto and he has found a new place belonging. I'm looking forward to the next episode because I want to see how Isshiki will do after seeing Kawaki on that rock. But much more I want to see Naruto beating Isshiki because I don't think that's all he and Kurama's partner can do.

he doesn't even have the karma, the only thing that made him somewhat strong and he is also missing an arm... what does he have that Naruto/Sasuke duo didn't have when they lost to Jigen? ...
his resolve to save Naruto (who should die anyway from using this power... but Kawaki didn't know that) just made it possible for Ishiki to destroy the whole world and others after this, after all the efforts everyone put into stopping him ...
but whatever, it was obvious that it was gonna happen, the "future flashback" (whatever you wanna call it...)

but oh well, he is just a kid who doesn't give a fuck about anyone apart from Naruto, who cares about the rest of the world, Sasuke, Boruto (maybe Ishiki would also kill those 2 but whatever), Hinata, Himawari, Sarada and others who also showed that they like/trust him? not to mention, he would also have his "revenge" agains't Jigen/Ishiki who tortured him, by making them die in dispair while searching for him

i'm sorry, i guess recently i just lost my patience and now i see this kind of stuff as stupid and annoying instead of interesting or fun like i used to ... "choosing between sacrificing 1 person or the whole world? fuck the world, i'm the only important person here" ...

This fight was good. Slightly above average
except for one shot. The shot of Naruto jumping through the flames with a shining blue rasengan. That shot was like crack on my brain and even my cynical self couldn't help but let out a massive grin when seeing it.
Was it the best fight in all of Boruto? Hard to say. I personally liked the pacing of the Ao fight from earlier this year more, and the Jugo fight has some of my favourite choreography from Konohamaru. Whenever the Naruto franchise brings in weapons, the choreography always get more complex and satisfying and I feel like this fight would have been 10x better if they had of included some more of that.

When Naruto fights started having more terrain-destroying jutsu and less actual taijutsu, it saddened me as a sucker for fast-paced hand-to-hand combat. So when fights like this come along and we get even just a crumb of the early essence of Naruto fights, I feel spoiled and get so ecstatic, and this episode absolutely didn't disappoint. As much as we love to clown Pierrot, they instantly transform into a top-tier studio when they go all out. That fight on the water with the Rasengan clash? Holy shit that was godlike. Isshiki raining down those black rods to find Kawaki? Phenomenal. Exquisite. Chef's fucking kiss. And as I mentioned, all the taijutsu shit had me happy as fuck. The only issue I had with this episode was that it felt like 5 minutes, and that's not even an exaggeration. When it ended I couldn't believe 20+ minutes had actually passed already. I have zero complaints about this episode, easily one of the best episodes in the entire Naruto franchise.

You forget Boruto, Sarada, Konohamaru,Mitsuki, they all saw Kawaki leave only a guys legs left and was thrown right into another lab after escaping the Kara's. It wasn't until Naruto realized Kawaki is younger him. Dangerous power he didn't even ask for that scares people into thinking hes an uncontrollable monster. Shikamaru gave Kawaki no room for error, it wasn't until his dad showed acceptance that Boruto was saying he was SUS, and I said father figure that's important. Hinata and Hima are literally angels, female sweetness runs in the Hyuga clan so they would be loving towards him anyway

Gee, that fight sequence plus the voice acting! Now, that's what we've been waiting for!

Crazy how fluid-like that was, honestly. Rasengan with the fire aesthetics in the background on the waterfall was just fabulous and topped it for me, 10/10 animation quality. When Pierrot looks to nail it, they most often do and this'll certainly go down as one of the best for the entire franchise. Haven't seen Naruto dominate a fight that decisively in a long while!

Second half with Kawaki's backstory and the countdown incorporating the flashback was incredible. Definitely felt for Kawaki there, Pierrot didn't hold back to reduce the intensity and that's how it ought to be.

That moment when Sasuke swapped places with Kawaki to buy more time was amazing, I couldn't help but cheer for them.

genuinely curious. how does someone that has watched almost 1k anime think that this episode is one of the best in the naruto franchise without having any issues? Sure the visuals are top tier but is this really all that matters nowadays? the writing is so unbelievably shallow, a new naruto form gets introduced this late into the show out of nowhere without any build up at all and people be like "YOO BEYRON MODE LIT NARUTO GOATEDDDD" seriously? don't you think that the writing is on par with meme shounen tropes at this point? "I never knew he had a form like this" "How is he able to powerup so fast?"

Don't get me wrong I'm not salty. I don't have much reason to be because I'm not that invested into the story anyways, and I also respect everyone's opinion. Taijutsu in Naruto was always nice to watch.
Animation and Choreography was Great but i just wish they would use the same artstyle from episode 189.
just imagine with that artstyle, it could be way better.

I really like the Flashback for Kawaki, just giving much more emotional into the scene.

Do they have a balls to kill off Naruto from the franchise?
I highly doubt it.

Yeah this episode sure lit af. The choreo just well-made and, yeah, a simple great note for me. However, the nuclear fusion a la Naruto won't last long, and its honestly more shorter than i expect. Kek. However, its doesn't matter considering the episode just full of action fire, and, trauma. I feel like watching some psychological shit when Kawaki past get retold with that disturbing shit. So, anyway, can't wait for the next night sunday.

yea but that is the issue poor storywriting lead to enemies being 10times stronger for no reason what so ever.. I mean Kishimoto started all this shit at the end of shippuden so he pretty much dug his own grave. I'll just accept the poor writing and I'll accept people pretending like this is the greatest stuff ever

i'm sorry, i guess recently i just lost my patience and now i see this kind of stuff as stupid and annoying instead of interesting or fun like i used to ... "choosing between sacrificing 1 person or the whole world? fuck the world, i'm the only important person here" ...

Judging from your comment I take it you haven't read the manga, and to that I say, just wait until next episode to see what kawaki does and why he does it before flaming it. I'm not hating or anything but theres no reason to get annoyed at something before it even happens

Naruto finally got the solo fight scene he deserves. Though I really had hoped it had more ninjustu to it. Even if Naruto only had rasengan I wished I saw more of it HAHA stupid "absorbs all ninjutsu" thing 😐

And as for you my beloved Sasuke, I hope you played a bigger role. I mean when Kawaki showed up, the wisest thing to do was transport him to any other dimension. But of course, Sasuke "doesn't have enough chakra anymore". 😐 After using amenotejikara twice, he's down for the count.

Don't you miss those fights when Naruto and Sasuke would both keep standing up again no matter how beaten up they were? I know I do :(

he doesn't even have the karma, the only thing that made him somewhat strong and he is also missing an arm... what does he have that Naruto/Sasuke duo didn't have when they lost to Jigen? ...
his resolve to save Naruto (who should die anyway from using this power... but Kawaki didn't know that) just made it possible for Ishiki to destroy the whole world and others after this, after all the efforts everyone put into stopping him ...

Quick question....without spoiling anything, what chapter in the manga does this episode fall? And how far behind are we?

Sorry, I'd google but I don't wanna see spoilers 😅🙈
