Pretty talky episode...

Looks like the girls are frowning over a new hotties at school. Eh, episode was okay I guess. It felt kinda all over the place with all sorts of stuff happening in the latter half. At least they made it look like fun.

I have to admit though, the person Boruto met this episode was freaky.

I think this episode is only preface for the next arc .. and i like sarada's character it's good written it's not new sakura which run after one guy xD

How the people of the village of mist will face the people of konoha and the SON of the hokgake

We will see former mizukage mei again next episode (i missed her xD)

I think this arc will be quite good before the movie events

Just in case people forgot. Hidden Mist academy used to have their students fight each other to death to graduate which is why it was known as Hidden Blood Mist.

Transportation sure has come a long way, I'm sure Team 7 would have loved to travel to the Mist on a luxury cruise ship all the way back when that arc took place.

Looks like Boruto and his friends are already encountering trouble on this trip, those guys weren't messing around. I also feel like Kagura might be hiding something about himself, he seems to have a mysterious vibe for some reason.

Heh this was a good episode. Really enjoyed most of the interactions and the world building which was severely needed in the original series.

This new mini arc is already looking better than the gaiden arc. Good start

Well this is rather a slow introduction arc episode. But I'm kind of hyped to see Mei, the previous mizukage, again in the next episode.

Wonder if they will make her still kind of young or the same like ch 700 with her having wrinkles.

Also Kagura looked like Yagura, is it like his cousin or something?

Didn't like the episode that much. Not that it was boring but I think the series needs improvements soon.
*Why did the creepy sharptoothed guy say that Boruto's eyes were good?Does he know something?

I've always been curious to know more about the other villages, so I really liked the beginning of this arc. Looking forward to what's to come.

Am I the only one who gets excited when the not protagonists students in the class have a few lines?

Pretty boring and mundane episode...tho it was funny when Boruto got picked as field trip leader against his will lol

I'm excited to see some action hopefully involving the Mizukage...those guys from the ally are definitely up to no good

I can't wait to see what happens next week!

Already fantastic start for the new arc. I've been really excited to see how the the world has changed outside the Leaf village since the Boruto manga and movie never touched on it, and I'm not disappointed with how the Mist village has changed. Setting is very similar to the Land of Waves arc from the original Naruto so I'm wondering if that's what they're going for here. The supposed antagonists are already interesting both design-wise and by their actions.

That is one hell of a big development in the Boruto world. Adding such prominent character dubbed as the "mizukage successor".

The question is will these characters be canon and have correlation with the manga. We have seen The anime insert thing from the manga which is the Shinobi Card game.

But, am afraid Ukyo Kodachi-sensei won't make original characters from the anime appears in his manga. because we haven't see a sign that Sumire, Iwabe or Denki will appear in the manga (Even though there's still a possibility, because the anime is the prequel and happens before the timeline of Boruto manga)

So do you yhink, Kodachi-sensei will just scrap this "mizukage successor" and make his own character of mizukage successor?

Was nice to see Iwabe not buying into the bullshit of the new building and shit, everyone knows this is the village where Akatsuki first got formed by Obito, with Kisame one of the first members to join.

Looking forward to the next episode looks like they're meeting Chojuro the Mizukage, and the girl/woman who looks like the previous Mizukage, could be either her or maybe her daughter.

Alright episode this week. Lol Boruto's punishment was so intense.

Nice to see them going out of the village for once. The mist village looks so cool, Sci-fi like. I thought the train would of went over the entire sea just to arrive at the mist village, well I was wrong as they went using a Ferry.

I like it when the side characters also talk. One of the students has a mask on, very similar to Kakashi xD Maybe he got a kid? Nah.

The preview looks very interesting as we can see the former Mizukage Mei. And also, those punks are back with more heated conflict.

Anyway, its an alright episode and it has opened up new things which is something great but maybe next episode we can see some action. 5/5

With episode 28 being the start of the movie arc, it's kind of expected that we'd get a few light hearted episodes beforehand as a buildup.

I enjoyed most parts of the episode with the last few minutes being the real highlight. Also, The Mist Village has grown so much in the last 15 years. Amazing to see.

Not a lot happened in this episode since it was mostly set up for the next arc.

So all I can say is I'm happy that Sumire managed to escape custody and replaced the cardboard cut outs that had been standing in her stead.

So far Sumire's return to the series (She didn't move or speak at all for the last 10 episodes, therefore she was just an optical illusion) has been underwhelming. Its like everyone just forgot about her terrorist days and are happy to have her just revert back to the un-interesting Sumire. Any writer can see that theirs a great redemption arc to be had or a re gaining of trust arc to be had but there are no signs of anything like that happening.

I really liked this episode. I enjoy the interactions between all the characters, especially Boruto and Sarada. Boruto getting picked to be the class leader while he couldn't say no, and then Denki "handling him" as Shikadai said, cracked me up. The mist village seems interesting, and I'm curious about this possible unrest they seem to be having.

I love that this arc got off to such a fun start

First of all, seeing Fat Anko hurts my fucking soul....We saw Mei in the next episode PV and she still looks fuckable, so why couldn't Anko be like that too TwT God dammit Kishi, why'd you introduce Anko to a damn buffet

Secondly, this episode had really great character interactions from that little argument Boruto and Naruto had, to the classroom scene, to that cute and funny moment between Boruto and Sarada on the boat, to Boruto meeting Kagura, to Mistuki hinting that we just may get an episode where the kids finally learn about Nature Types and then most of all, the introduction of those new "villains"

Thirdly, in regards to the villains, that was pretty awesome how Boruto handled himself against that one guy but the other dude seems to be pretty impressive so I'm looking forward to seeing this battle thing 2 episodes of now....Also, it's pretty interesting how Kagura is going to be a new member of the 7 Mist Swordsman (I wonder if we'll see the others)

Overall, great episode and I ended up liking this more than I thought I would have lol....Also, it's pretty surreal to see how far the world has come now that we have fancy cruises and huge modernized cities

Well, It's all according to the September episode guide on here.
https://www.alltalksnewsnetwork.com/boruto-naruto-next-generations-september-episode-schedule/

It doesn't necessarily say episode 28, but it's implied because episode 27 is the last episode from their trip to the hidden mist village. It's also confirmed that we'll be getting a new opening in mid October. With episode 28 airing on the 11th, I'm sure that's their plan.

Or I could be wrong because they haven't even graduated and formed their teams yet, like you said. I reckon that the movie arc will be long. The director did say that they had a lot of stuff cut from the initial cut of the movie because of the running time, and that he wants to use those ideas in the anime. Maybe them graduating is the start of it. You can read his interview here:

Thanks. I hadn't seen that, and we're getting a new opening too? That's great.

Well I'm looking forward to these next few episodes too see where not only the Land of Water story will go, but to see how the start the movie storyline, as well as what they'll add to it. I enjoyed the stuff that was added to manga in the that storyline,
, so I'm hoping it has that included, as well as maybe some other fun stuff.

Looks like in this world there's also war torn areas then. You will think that after the last great ninja war that peace will reign supreme. The prosperity that the village has now though is thanks to the hard work that everyone in the village whether shinobi or civilian put in during and after the war. Man Boruto and his father though lol. Man thats one hell of a punishment that Boruto was handed there though. Sumire's reaction though was hillarious. So a field trip to the land of water then this should be interesting but also risky as well. I guess no one wants to be in charge of this class of troublemakers though. But man thats one hell of a nomination for Boruto from Sarada though. Hmm a troublemaker to manage a class of troublemakers. When the class say's so there is no dissent lol. Seems that Iwabe remembers what the village hidden in the mist was like in the past. Nice to see Hinata worry so much about Boruto though. Well at least they don't have to walk there since peace has given them direct train lines and ships. Sarada really looks awed by the ocean and the fact that behind that is lands that she hasn't seen before though. Guess she's the type that loves to explore.

Sumire's question to Sarada about her nomination of Boruto was on point though. Sarada after her arc and acceptance of her parents really has become more spirited though thats true. So that was the reason that Sarada nominated Boruto. Just like her to think so far ahead. Sarada's reaction after saying that was hillarious though. Denki really has got good at card games though hasn't he. Man thats some heavy mist that they are sailing through there. Mitsuki is still very much the enigma then. Hmm so the village hidden in the mist is no longer as rural as it was in the past thanks to technology eh. Their guide from the village looks to be a veteran it seems. Despite his age he looks far more mature and composed than Boruto and his friends though. The village in the mist sure has turned into something that's amazing though. The port especially has enabled the village to be quite prosperous as well. Well i guess every village will have its dark side to it. Looks like their field trip will be anything but uneventful it seems.
