I'm the only one who thinks that this is better than fate/stay night UBW ?!

The last 5 episodes has so intense action and it seems next episode will continue like that. I wonder if Vlad will transform to dracula or something. I can not wait for next episode

Also if im not mistaken the legend of dracula was activated when Vlad was still on land.

Uh, Vlad hasn't used it tho? Or are you referring to his Kazikli Bey NP?

In any case

No, i think when i read it he was still in fight with Karna and then (still on the ground) the Legend was activated, in the LN.

I swear i always thought they were still on the ground.

I'm not sure that's possible.
Wasn't the fact that Vlad was fighting without his territorial bonus (therefore in the Gardens) the reason for Legend being used in the first place?

I need to reread that part

Just a question about pacing, to everyone that has read the LN:

Yeah, i think they'll do everything in one episode and complete Volume 2 next week, the fights are advancing at a fast rate so they will probably be able to adapt the remaining material from Volume 2 without making it feel rushed.

Also, Vlad definitely activated the NP related to his legend in the HGoB, the whole point was that he was weakened so much without the territory bonus that he stood no chance of victory. He is practically at 50% capacity in the Gardens.

I can't be the only one that noticed the voice acting/mouths were off in the beginning of this episode?

The fights suck, as usual. I don't recall servants from F/Z fleeing THIS damn much. It's so annoying. We're about halfway and no one has actually killed anyone. Saber and Berserker of Black both basically committed suicide for a "greater purpose." Very underwhelming show so far, tbh. Also, the voice acting for Ruler seemed different? This show is a mess.

Talk about double standards here.
Everyone likes Mordred because she's cute girl, but if she was a male that fans will probably find that she is just another dense, screaming, shounen character that want to kill everyone and everything. But she is MOE so it can be forgivable.

Couldn't agree more lol

Mordred about to slash down both Astolfo and Sieg, before Spartacus 'saved' them XD.

Spartacus was done exactly as he would have been: Savage, brutal, insane and, ultimately, loyal to his quest against oppressors.

Thank goodness Spartacus is gone. Imo, Karna didn't even seem to be trying that hard. Vlad seems to have revealed his limits besides his noble phantasm. I'm assuming the noble phantasm has something to do with being a vampire. No predictions as to exactly what. Maybe it just gives him vampire-like abilities?

And here I thought this would have been a decently enjoyable Fate show for a change but of course, that turns out to simply be wishful thinking. A bunch of non-sensical plot developments like what the franchise is hugely known for, fights that feel more like filler where both sides constantly decide to call it quits for no freakin' reason. I mean they were fun to watch at first but it's just the same small clashes that end with a huge explosion (because why bother putting in the effort in the actual fighting style and choreography). Even the music is getting hugely repetitive with them using the same two tracks over and over again, which is also exactly the same problem the composer had with Gundam IBO.

Honestly, what do people really see in this generic and downright snoozefest of a franchise? Is it the waifus? The fanfic portrayals of historical figures? The endless, shitty powerlevel discussions that ensues afterwards? Or is it a mixture of all three?

Really exciting episode although it's a bummer they didn't quite describe how exactly territory-boosted Kazikli Bey worked so a lot of live reactors didn't quite get it (Vlad could create stakes from within your body, not just attack you from outside spikes). Can't wait for the next episode.

Saber vs Saber, Lancer vs Lancer, and Berserker vs The World since he can't seem to stick to a single target. At least he died so I don't have to look at his ugly mug anymore, by why do both berserkers have a self-destruct final moves?

But by far the biggest thing for me is the realization that I have SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATED THE STEALTHINESS OF RED ASSASSIN. She moved an entire flying fortress above their fort without anybody realizing it until it spawned a FREAKING TORNADO AND STOLE THE GRAIL. That's impressive as hell.

But..still I Don't think lancers fate is gonna change one of them or two of them is gonna die well in f/SN lancer died cuz he was unmatched to Gilgamesh. In UBW he killed himself due to command of kirei(basically the weaker one will perish)..but this series different..is it? Bkz in power even brhama astra is A+ that's not even his true NP plus Vasavi shakti that is insane...a servant that praised as “truly worthy opponent"(in ccc) by Gilgamesh can't be that pathetic...I guess as lancer fate he's gonna die

If you think about it, it must truly be annoying as a great hero-king to have this vampire legend accompany him throughout the generations ~ especially the newer generations will think of Dracula the Vampire 1st before Vlad Tepes the king, so I get the guy's frustrations. Yet it's kinda funny that at the same time, that's also something adds to his fame and tbh a big reason why most people outside of Romania even know of him ~ it gives him international fame! Ya gotta take the bad with the good Vlad my man :D

I have seen every single post of yours treating F/Z to be the 2nd coming of Jesus while shitting on this.

I am not a defender but tell me frankly one thing, you tell about servants not dying, how many servants did actually die in the first 11 episodes of Fate Zero?

This show has its issues but you bringing up FZ,a completed show,to substantiate your whining about things which not even are the most critical points about the anime just substantiate one thing:

Secondaries will always remain secondaries adept at stringing straw-men fallacy to prove their non-existing points.

There is a pretty viable option. If you actually don't like it,don't watch it or wait for it to finish and then watch it(which sensible people do)

Your insistent complaining about non-existing issues doesn't really contribute to the discussion about the actual issues with the show.

Why do you care what I think so much? I always say what I think after an episode finishes. You're taking it a little too personal, I see. The show does have issues, as I already stated, the fight scenes are nothing amazing, the constant running away is poor writing just to drag it out - what they could have done instead was actually flesh out more characters, the mouthing was definitely off in the start of this episode. Some of the developments appear nonsensical because the explanation includes some reveals that are kept for later in the story.

The Servants called it quits for obvious reasons.
Mordred retreated because her Master feared Spartacus's Noble Phantasm and, evidently, he was right to feel that way.
Karna retreated to fight Vlad on the Hanging Gardens. The Gardens is Semiramis's NP, her own territory, so by taking the grail and luring Vlad there, he loses all the fame boost he has due to being in a neutral territory. It's giving Karna a huge advantage by taking away Vlad's.
Atalanta, Chiron and Achilles retreated because they were in Spartacus's blast radius.

And it's not like they retreated for good either, as most of these fights will continue in the Gardens into the next episode.

Finally, different strokes from r different folks. What you consider a snoozefest, I consider great concepts and interesting excution.
Case in point, Jack The Ripper.

So Ruler finally made it to the battlefield to be confronted by Red archer then. Man Berserker sure is living up to his rep though. Looks like the battle between Mordred and Sieg is also starting to get interesting with neither yielding ground. Discount saber is a interesting name for Sieg. The battle between the two lancers though seem evenly matched though it looks like Red lancer is starting to get the upper hand due to his speed. Far from being just a fighter it seems that red lancer is also quite perceptive as well. So Vlad's attacks so far were far from being random and he was actually aiming to lure the enemy into his territory where his noble phantasm can hit him. Man that was close as Vlad almost managed to finish off red lancer before he unleashed that firestorm. So Berserkers rebellion power gave him the ability to evolve at will then. So it was red castor that gave him such a troublesome power. But being able to convert damage sustained to magical energy that can be used sure is useful.

Its funny how Berserker inadvertently ended up saving Sieg from Mordred though. So Sieg and Ruler finally had their long fated reunion though i guess none expected that it will be on the field once more. Its sad that Sieg is on the field just like Ruler's visions had indicated though. Considering how close how Astolfo is to Sieg its no surprise that she will not want to leave Sieg. Spartacus's last attack though sure was powerful. But Rulers flag plus her determination was also admirable as well and allowed her to withstand this attack as well. The cost of this battle though sure has been high though. To think that the enemies true objective was to take the grail from the castle though. So while the enemy tries to take the grail the servants of black board the fortress in an attempt to locate the enemy then. The battle on board the fortress though was pretty close but looks like Vlad was at a disadvantage since his full power can't be used when in enemy territory. So Vlad's noble phantasm is one that even he is reluctant to use then. But it looks like Darnic is going to use a command seal to force Vlad to use it anyway. Looks like the battle here is nearing its climax then. Can't wait to see what will happen next week.

Just so people are clear, Kazikli Bey is Vlad's primary Noble Phantasm and he's been using it all this time, so it's not like he's holding back. With the territory boost from being in Romania, his home country where he's revered as a great hero, he doesn't just attack enemies with skewers, but rather can literally spawn stakes from within people's bodies, making it impossible to dodge and armor meaningless. It is incredibly overpowered and not many besides a top demigod like Karna could survive. However, outside of Romania it's not as powerful.

He just happens to have access to another Noble Phantasm that he hates as it tainted his heroic reputation worldwide. You'll find out more next episode, although it should be fairly obvious to people familiar with legends based on Vlad III.

1) Never claimed I was sensible. I merely threw it back at you since you are so clearly "sensible."
2) Triggered is a meme in most contexts. I've never actually heard anyone say it unironically. Why do you act as if this is an actual debate in which I'm apparently "trying" when all I really did was rant? Lmao.
3) Why are you quoting "constructive criticism" when I never said that? It was a rant, get over it.
4) I like how you emphasize it's a "series" of posts. You feel the need to be overdramatic about an opinion, and then pretend like you're actually countering an opinion.
5) "Oh no, I didn't praise the show; I'm whining. Someone call the police." I don't recall caring about what people think of me, so...?
6) Yes, it's a discussion thread. About the show. Not about a trivial pissing contest.

I just wonder ,why in all Fate series i have watched lancer's seem to be the strongest of all classes (except for the Gilgamesh who is by far the moster powerful servant ever presented)?

Fate/zero lancer was not strong. I also think saber can easily beat fate/stay night lancer with Excalibur. I also think Berserk can beat him or at least equal to him
