Ah Bell, that lucky kid. What a nice timing to be saved by Ais.

Episode was so-so imo. It didn't have much action and wasn't as thrilling as the previous one except the Ais' fight in the beginning and the final few minutes. Seeing Bell fighting gave Ais an impression of how fast this kid improves.

Ais showed more emotion then in any of the previous episodes especially during the fight but also the parts where she was unhappy with Bell running away.
And it also seems the mystery around her is deepening which is nice as well it makes things interesting.
I am looking forward to next week already.

Yup Ais beat the black king Udaeus and become level 6, next versus the Tamer will be gonna be good.

The "sword" dropped from the King Udaeus, it should be used by Bell-kun against the floor boss right and disintegrated after skill argonaut.

Anyway I thought Fels is a male, but the voice sounds mixed with female~

*I recommend reading manga starting black king Udaeus, its much more detailly explained. For those bell's fan out there, during Bell-kun sleep on Ais lap scene, Ais personally gave some of her thought regarding Bell If I'm correct. Sword Oratoria is much darker and more deaths, story also fill up what is missing in the main story interval.

I agree with this. Poeple should read the manga. It's a lot more detailed than the anime. Ais' fight against Udaeus is a lot more awesome and dramatic. And there's also the inner narration from Ais, which is missing in the anime, so it makes it harder to figure out what she's thinking. The manga is so much better, really.

Ais FTW, seeing her go all out against that skeleton thing was too badass and I'm really happy that she was able to level up

But apart from that, I'm really thankful for this series because it truly is nice to see things involving Bell from Aiz's perspective and it really makes her character a hell of a lot more cute and interesting

Ais fight against Udaeus was cool. She did very well and got to level 6. She saved Bell multiple times, but every time she wants to apologize to him, he runs away. A mage wants her to carry out a quest.

Pretty nice action in the beginning, thought that Riveria will help in the end, but gratz with level 6 Ais!
Nice to see the additionts to the main line, and that teasing from Riveria, really like her more and more =/

Great episode, action was really good.

I loved that moment where Ais was pouting and trying to hit Riveria, that was so adorable.
Ais is finally level 6, happy for her.

That was a really interesting bit at the end with Ais noticing that invisible mage. Wonder what this quest is all about? Must say the series has picked really strongly with the past few episodes. I'm super interested in what's gonna happen.

Although I dont like this spin off season as much as the first, but this episode was the most enjoyable so far because it focuses less on Lefyia and more on Ais which is a big plus. Also, you finally get to see the interactions between her and Bell

Watching these action scenes I remember the Minotaur battle from the main series and I sit here thinking to myself "what the hell happened?" I mean every action scene from this spin off has been trash compared to any from the main series they just look piss poor. The anime sold fairly well right? So why does this look like a cheap half ass sequel?

Well this is J.C Staff and they do so very well and squandering the successful franchises they manage to get themselves. Where are the third seasons of Index and Railgun do you not like money J.C?

Including the sentences I cut off, I can say you didn't really know much about the works of Sword Oratoria, which is a mistake criticising certain things without any knowledge on it. No offence, Its rights and free to write anything, but I hope at least you can read the source of Sword Oratoria(manga/LN).

You are too idolize with bell-kun. Danmachi anime was made around early 2015, which of course animation quality is not as good at current series. The fights you refering to should be minotaur & goliath as best in that anime, but if you look closely & professionally the quality actually has lag and stops between interval. The fights itself was, well, slow. To sum up, not as "well-made" as Sword Oratoria. Anyway the amount of fights in main series is not that many, not enough to assess further.

Why bring out Railgun when it is the same as Sword Oratoria to Danmachi? When both are the same category. Sword Oratoria has a much darker and more deaths than main series itself. Many do actually prefer the "side-story" slowly after they reading it.

I think Mr.Dragon God meant that Oratoria´s scenes were trash and not vice versa...sry if I´m wrong...

That is exactly what I meant. Oratoria's scenes look worse by far.

It was funny to see Bell rolling away from Ais again.

It was nice seeing the cute side of Ais. The action in the beginning was great where Ais took down The black king Udaeus was great.

*Just read the manga chapters around The Black King Udaeus and I totally agree with valvravetruth. It's more detailed and they missed a lot out. I personally recommend reading those chapters.

Seeing that famous lap pillow again warmed my heart. This series is at its best when Ais and Bell cross paths.

An extra plus is that Leyfia almost didn't get any lines.

Even though I've already seen it before, Bell rolling away had me laughing again.

Also Ais had some amusing expressions this episode, her pouting and her flabbergasted, when learning Bell's name. Lols.

And her shredded clothing after the boss fight. Skele boss totally knew where it was aiming, that little unprotected bit on her right boob. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The fight itself wasn't really interesting though, would honestly prefer to have seen more interactions with Bell.

Black Goliath seems much more stronger than Udaeus but yes, ais fight the floor boss one on one.
more fight scene, more bell scene, more mystery, less lefiya. this is what DanMachi fans expect from sword oratoria. overall, good episode, can't wait for more ais and bell scene and on the bright side, we can see more hidden side of ais.

its kinda okay episode the animation was decent but i am kinda disappointed that they scrap some part from the light novel and manga, it could've have been much more emotional and hyped.

overall it was decent nothing really special though

My gripes about this is that I feel that the art/animations are a bit of a step down compared to the original story's anime adaptation and the pacing is a bit weird.

This is kind of the reverse that Index/Railgun anime had. Where Railgun anime had some better looking animations and art than the Index anime.

But yeah, those are my gripes about this adaptation. At least it's nice to see some more Ais and Bell interaction and seeing Ais pout.

I've loved the manga for the chapters focused on Ais, getting to know how deep and dark is her fanatic motivation to get stronger, at any cost. This is exacerbated when she sees her life in flashbacks while fighting Death (Udaeus). All of this gave meaning to her struggle and how rare and alien to her are the emotions she gets when she's with Bell.

NOTHING of that can be found in this poor excuse for an adaptation. The life-or-death battle comes out as generic, while the deep determination is only mentioned by Riveria with a single "oh, she's not defending" haha she must be kinda bold or something moment... and then there's absolutely no meaning to her being with Bell besides a cute moment... I mean damn! she just comes off like the overused shy girl anime cliche instead of the deep, psychologically troubled character she is.

I can't believe I was ecstatic at the prospect of seeing this part of the manga animated.
It's the worst dissapointment I've had with anime in a long time. ETERNAL SHAME on J.C.Staff.

Honestly rather disappointed with this ep. I faintly remember that fighting scene leaving aiz as damaged tatters, not just some cuts, bruises and damaged armor... And I *definitely* remember the chapters this episode animated as leaving a *much* stronger impact with me regarding aiz character development in the manga (did they cut parts?).

Pretty much all they managed properly was to build up the mystery regarding aiz past (and even that felt more impactful in manga) and to show aiz cute pouting-face (which they did do well).

EDIT:
Aiz state after fight in manga vs anime:

Dat hand tho...

Impressive solo fight between Ais and the floor boss. With that win, she's now level 6. Despite that, she's still unable to apologise to Bell, who's super quick with his escape routine.

Seeing Ais pouting after Bell 'rolled' away from her was really cute. =)

I'm interested in this suspicious hooded person at the end. She's got a request for Ais, but whether that thing is evil or not, who knows.

The more I watch Oratoria the more I think this should have been the actual main story while Dan Machi should have been the side one lmao. Anyway, the Aria-reference continues, I'm assuming something bad happened to Ais' mother.

Ais got ot level 6 woohoo! ~~

I got to see the rolling scene and laugh again so it's all good.

By borrowing Akko's favorite phrase, and changing it, I would say: this episode is not thrilling and exciting. D:
By now the scheme seems to be almost always the same, albeit with some comma put in a different way: it starts with unattractive situations and then comes the best in the final. Drawings and animations are pretty good, but not in the first season. Let's hope for better because I'm a little annoyed.

Another great Lefiya sparse episode. Keep them up!. That Boss/Ais fight was pretty sweet, but it was nowhere near as awesome as Bell vs the minotaur in ep 8 of his own show. I also liked that you got to see Ais with her frustrated petulant expressions when Bell keeps running away. It's a lot more clear that she is starting to like the guy and hates that he seems to be afraid of her.

Another great episode.
Finally, we saw Ais smiling and blushing :3
In this crossover, we can clearly see in a different perspective how much times Ais saved Bell, can't wait to see them talk (without Bell running away...).
I actually forgot that Bell managed someone to level up so fast (i don't remember, it has been 2 years).
