| welp that guy i posted earlier's other content so far seems pretty excellent, hes really well articulated, really mature and seems to avoid anything particularly offensive though still having some ad hominem in there mainly for comedic purpouse, and genuinly pretty funny from the 3 videos of him ive seen now. Might of found a nice voice of reason channel. |

When you're forever in the formula of a literal monster of the week + the obligatory mecha battle, it's pretty easy to see the hurdles for the creative team. Gotta sell them all toys too. But I've only dabbled in a couple of 2000s+ series so my experience is pretty limited. |
| Speaking of mecha I started watching GaoGaiGar and jesus it sure sticks to the old mecha formula doing only episodic until I just guess later on it will get more into the story but I honestly thought it wouldn't be episodic at all so kinda eh so far on that front. Also the bad guys apparently like having a rave party all the time in their headquarters so rip people with epilepsy. |

Think a lot of them only existed in raw for a longer time but with the exception of GaoGaiGar+Final but hey I haven't even fucking seen them until my first one I watch currently. I haven't even seen masterpieces like Kakumeiki Valvrave yet either. I just can't proclaim myself as a mecha fan without having seen that glory. |

| Finally got myself a copy of Metal Gear Solid V. Only played the Ground Zeroes content so far which has been a decent introduction. I'd heard how you could beat the story in like an hour, but actually playing it yourself and realising it's that short is a whole other thing. I'd be pissed if I had bought it separately as a full price game. Should have been a $5-10 digital release like Dead Rising 2 Case Zero. When I first heard it was getting released separately I knew I was gonna wait until the inevitable MGSV collection though so that's that. Plus getting both Déjà Vu and Jamais Vu was a nice bonus, even if the latter ended up being pretty meh. |
