| Perhaps it's due to a repressed society in Japan, but let's face it most anime are full of fanservice. It is difficult to say the least to find shows that are not filled with fanservice. To be into anime to some degree usually takes at least some tolerance if not straight up being into the fanservice. I'm not gonna pretend to be above this, I'm a perv and enjoy my fair bit of fanservice now and then, but I feel like a lot of people here are in denial. | Doesn't being a "perv" require one having abnormal sexual interests? Most definitions of "pervert" that I've seen include descriptions of "leading someone/something away from what is considered natural or acceptable" or "a person whose sexual behavior is regarded as abnormal and unacceptable". With the exception of a few specific fetishes, it seems that most of the sexualized characters/objects in anime conform to sexual interests already held by the general public. Ergo, I don't think that liking a lot of fanservice/having a strong libido qualifies one as a pervert. |
