Ah interesting, the story focuses more on Majime now and also another woman that arrived at the workplace.

I thought the episode was quite interesting especially with the character chemistry between Kaguya and Majime. Feels like he's much more comfortable with talking to her as well after the time skip.

The new woman seems pretty friendly and really looks like she wants to prove herself.

Ah... great episode...
New character, Kishibe, appears...
I like the mild comedy, when Kishibe is shocked by the situation in the workplace and how complicated to make the dictionary is...

I also got new knowledge in this episode about numerikan. I'm not sure how to translate it in English, though... lol

Interesting new employee, seems she will fit in well.

Minor detail but I don't like how Kaguya looked this episode, I prefer more how she looked before.

We never got to see Kaguya's and Majime's romance
Nishioka ... now using a smartphone because it's that age now lol but :0 where's his wife

This episode felt like it gave the Psycho Pass vibes for some reason

Time-skip in this episode??? someone tell me.
Pretty solid episode, met a new character who seems to want to prove herself.
Really liked the part where she was explaining how she would define "right" really brought me back to ep 1-2 where Majime has defining "island"

Dayum, that's quite the timeskip.

I get it though. After all, this is about finishing a dictionary as much as the characters.

Another great episode.

I won't lie, kinda bummed that we skipped 13 years of their lives. This show handles the characters and their relationships better than most, and I feel like I've missed some pretty big milestones. Oh well.

I am kinda scared that tragedy is about to strike the group. That bit where the professor was coughing felt like a flag.

Time skip was definitely unexpected but still a good episode.

Majime is the chief now and he's married to Kaguya. :)

New employee Mishibe arrives and the dynamics between her and Majine are certainly kind of weird but in a good way. Kind of amusing how Majime was asking her about meanings.

I love how Nishioka used the meaning of 'right' test to prove that Kishibe is suited for dictionary making. Glad to see her taking up work at the end.

When I saw Kaguya, I was like, is she tired? is she older? and then they talked about the big time skip.
They drew her well, other characters too. Only Majime didn't look older.

It looks like the main focus really is the dictionnary. People come and go but the final goal remains.

Nice episode.

This show is still about dictionatries and you would never in a million years see the completion without a reasonable time skip, there's that ;)

However i am worried about Nishioka and Miyoshi, hopefully there's an episode with their story up until now.

I'm already fully invested in Kishibe, another very likable and real character. She and Majime will get along, she has big talent.

I really wasn't expecting a timeskip but I think it's pretty welcome here, it brings a refreshing momentum to the story and so does the new girl.

Concerning the timeskip, are you really sure the whole skip was 13 years ? I think it's less, because before Majime arrived in the editorial department, they had already been working on The Great Passae for a few years. Well, I could be wrong though.

Nice episode whatsoever, this anime is a one of the good surprises of the season :)

Time skip!! Haha when they show Kaguya and Majime in older version at the beginning I thought it was bits of image to show us their future but it turns out the whole episode is a time skip of 13 years. Mixed feelings. It's not entirely bad to time skip since it may seem to be useless to the plot should they show when Nishioka move to PR or that when both Kaguya and Majime get married and yet The Great Passage still hasn't been publish while the dictionary department keeps getting 'bullied' by the higher-ups.

Just like the short video about the 4 dictionaries what they say in this episode truly resonates with me: that dictionary can't be done in just 1 day.

Seeing how the original members of the dictionary department along with the addition of the new member trying so hard to publish The Great Passage makes me look up to them. It's really nice to see them so dedicate in this project that made me wonder whether in real life people who published/is publishing dictionary really went through all that. As I was watching this anime I thought of how I relied on online dictionary more than a book version dictionary and this makes me think does the people working in the dictionary department will feel that all their effort are meaningless or will they keep up with the time and focus more on online/electronic dictionary more than book type of dictionary?

wow that really surprised me.. time skip out of nowhere.. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get to witness much of the romance between Majime and Kaguya, and even Nishioka actually leaving the Dictionary Dept.. ughh, what a waste of potential.. hope there's an OVA at least for that in the future.. so I guess the show's real focus in the end is making the dictionary..

like Majime's new kouhai so far.. and also Matsumoto sensei death flag triggered?? hope not..

Time-skip... Thought we would see more pre-marriage Kaguya x Majime given how much the OP and ED highlights it but nope.

At least Kishibe is good looking and seems interesting enough. I might prefer her over Nishioka.

Kaguya looks old now. I like how understanding she is.

I wonder if Nishioka broke up with his girlfriend given how much he was making moves on Kishibe.
Like how Kishibe is similar to Majime in some way.

An interesting episode.

WTF, is Majime a vampire ??!! Its been 13 years and he looks exactly the same lol.

Great episode. I wish we could have seen more of kaguya and majime before they got married, like more relationship development. After majime gave kaguya the letter, all the relationship stuff happened off screen, unless i forgot, i dont remember there being much of that.

Just wondering about two things: Is the GRANDMA OK ?? and is Nishioka still with his girl friend from before? cause it felt like they broke up to me.

Judging by 13 year skip and detailed show of photographs in a frame - she definitely has passed away.

They first showed in detail left hand of Majime with a ring on it, but later they showed Nishioka's hands which had no ring. So he is definitely not married. Since he was flirting quite a bit, it is very likely that he broke up with his gf.

Liked the timeskip and how Nishioka asked the new girl same or similar questions that Araki asked Majime back then. (About how to explain "right".) Now I need to check back at the first few episodes to see what Majime answered.

Yes. Death flagh with the professor ... might be some sad episode one of the next episodes. Or maybe at the last episode (they just might finish the dictionary so he can see it before dying in a hospital).

We'll see about Nishoka and the new girl (Kishibe). Didn't pay attention to the rings on their hands. Maybe he will be interested in her. For now I just thought it was his usual behaviour. But it could make sense. They also are a bit similar since he was more of a PR guy and she is more into fashion. (And both "out of place" in the dictionary department. While she might be a bit better suited for dictionary editing as well which was hinted when she had to explain "right.))

Holy crap, a timeskip of 13 years. I honestly didn't expect that big of a timeskip. Pretty much everyone looked really old except for Majime O,o.

Well, despite the huge timeskip, I thought it was still reasonably consistent, so it doesn't bother me that much. It was a great episode and I liked the new girl. She's like Majime when he first started. RIP grandma though, since she probably passed away already ;__;....

I'm guessing that the time skip is because they want to finish in one season, but if they skip 13 years and don't finish it. That is going to be a problem.

But the main point of this show has been solidified in the dictionary itself and I don't mind that at all.
This has been a niche show and it will remain a niche show. But it is a show that I could give a 10/10 to.

I did notice that Kaguya and some other characters looked older. I just thought they were tired, I wasn't really thinking about a timeskip. I would have liked to have seen more of Majime and Kaguya's relationship before their marriage, but this anime is more about the dictionary, not the romance.

Wow, 13 years and they still aren't done with the dictionary. Then again, that makes sense, you don't just crap out a dictionary overnight. I like the new girl.....and apparently, so does Nishioka. That probably means he's no longer with the previous woman we saw him with.

Lol the time skip totally threw me for a loop
I was wondering why Kaguya and Micchan looked older with more pronounced bags under their eyes, turns out they skipped 13 years xD No marriage or kiss or anything *cries*
On the other hand, Kishibe was so similar to Majime in the way that she thought carefully on definitions, I definitely liked how they came back to that same "define right" that Majime did earlier at the beginning, it was a nice throwback

They said 13 years since they started Great Passage so when Majime first came it was already in the making. So i guess may be 10 years time skip or so...

I thought the characters looked older at first...but that big of a time jump? dang...and completely cold turkey too, i thought maybe I skipped an episode or something.

not a big fan of large time skips like that, making 13 years go by between episodes is just sort of depressing :P

...also Majime's wife saying Kishibe is just like Majime seems like a bit of a stretch, even with the scene afterwards where she defines right (like that can qualify her to be like Majime, I don't know if anyone is like Majime...)

Whoa whoa whoa, a time skip? Damn...

I kinda noticed that since Majime and Kaguya looked aged in the starting frames of the episode but that ring on Majime's hand gave it away. But still, I wasn't expecting it to be 13 long years! Heck I wasn't even expecting a time skip this early in the show! I knew the making of dictionary was one long work but I thought they'd be saving it for the last episode or something. So definitely surprised with that.

Young Kaguya looked better D:
Also, I wonder if those two have any kid.
Seems grandma passed away :(

Well, if this time gap can make you turn up your nose, it can also make it clear because so far it is going with the personal story of Majime and Nishioka, though I have left a bitter taste for various reasons. Narratively able to meet the goals. Catchy soundtrack.

I knew the timeskip was coming because I watched the live action movie two weeks ago... I was wondering how everyone here would feel because back then everyone was mostly celebrating Kaguya's accepting Majime's confession.

Even though I watched the movie and can sort of guess how the anime adaptation will end it's still pretty refreshing to watch the anime since the whole writing and some of the situations that happen are presented differently.

A 13 year timeskip with just 3 episodes to go... not sure how I feel about that.
Seems like the Great Passage is almost close to completion though, which now feels like Hajime's life's work somehow.

Let's see how much longer will it take for the dictionary to be completed... sounds like an awful lot of work if it still hasn't come out after 13 years. I kinda get why corporate would see it as a cash pit.

I don't know what to think about the timeskip, but I like how majime and nishioka remained friends over time (even though nishioka transferred) and also how kaguya and majime seem to have a perfect relationship where she completely understands him.
