| Even if some people expected Yuri!!! on Ice to be yuri not yaoi because of the Yuuri Katsuki's name which has misled most people on seeing Yuuri as yuri (genre). But still, both yuri and yaoi are basically the same thing. Somewhat like a pure love but in general, a forbidden one. And, you also don't have to feel that salty or triggered because it's not yuri and (I don't really sure if) it's OBVIOUSLY a yaoi. Well, since we'll be getting some yuri anime adaptations next year, so just have hope on it guys... |

I personally think it would, because there is not a lot of Yuri anime, and there is quite a bit of Yaoi already. Not to mention that ice skating is actually much prettier when it is performed by women, so I would want there to be a show with an all female cast. Either that or in pairs. |

I'm assuming that you are referring to fujoshis, and that is something that I have to disagree with. I've seen plenty of males watch this series, and other such mostly/all-male cast sports anime. It's the same as saying that an 'all-female' series is aimed to the 'one demographic' of yuri-loving males. If you look beyond your need for jiggling breasts in every series, then you may come to realise that this anime has a lot of plot and character development - it goes beyond what y'all people try to call 'fujobait' (the author themselves confirmed (thought subtly) that it is, in fact, a relationship). Hell, if this were in fact an all-female series instead, all y'all would get would be cheap fan-service and lots of ''moe'' or ''ecchi'' rather than actual plot - and you know it. |

| Don't get salty at what I'm about to say, but I absolutely agree that it should be a female cast anime. As if figure-skating wasn't gay enough as is, the show only furthers it since it's pretty much a fujoshi's wet dream. Not saying it would be any different have it been a female cast instead. I just think it'd make more sense it being all female instead of male. |
