It's minor, something I can shrug and overlook. It's more of a mistranslation of a single word rather than them trying to localize it for the audience. Annoying, sure but it's whatev. Not a big deal. I don't understand some of the references but regardless, I find it utterly, fucking hilarious. Not because of the inside joke, but because of the setting and character interactions. I don't get why people keep saying you have to be "Japanese enough to get it". Are you kidding me? Gintama is such a chill show, I love it. The humor isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I don't think you have to be a Japanese culture buff or understand the references to enjoy this series. I think I understand maybe 20% of the references in this series, but the characters are AMAZING and the mess that they get themselves into and out just helps me develop so much love for them. I am loving this series more and more with each episode, and I'm only 33 episodes in lol |

| Alright, as always, I enjoyed the episode I found the part where Gintoki saying "My Ass!" to Sakamoto's letter to be really funny, especially since it was pretty unexpected and the whole build up to it was really funny as well. I also liked hearing the story to Mokichi as well, and it was pretty funny seeing Unkei and Kaikei's reactions to the story of Mokichi. I also found it really funny when Gintoki said that Odd Job's looked more looked like the Parthenon and the part with Kagura saying that Odd Job's looked more like the Castle in the sky haha But in the end, Gintoki tricked the two of them with the Mokichi story, but he still convinced Unkei and Kaikei to build Odd Job's as the Parthenon and the Castle in the sky, and the building literally went flying in the end haha Overall, I found the episode to be really funny, and I'm definitely excited to see what's next! |
