I was laughing so hard. Damn, this writing is a joke. That plot twist was so predictable (with that one boy) and it breaks its own rules. Whatever, got a good laugh out of this episode. And Busdriver-kun is back.

Interesting- I almost want to say this makes sense lol. So accepting your Nanaki is the only way to truly move on. I don't see why Kami didn't just mention that in his little explanation. He acted like he didn't know that fact lmfao. It's only when Mitsu starts asking some questions that he goes "oh yea, you won't age if you accept your nanaki lol".

Didn't actually cry during the bus driver scene even though I felt like I was supposed to. All of that felt a little rushed to me, but it was solid..i guess.

At least Valkana and the girls bounced from the homes, but I didn't understand why the few who had kept their sanity in tact didn't come along as well. Also whatever Judgeness and Jack were doing was kind of ... confusing? Like they held them "captive" only for Judgness to go on and on about Koharun and then reveal her identity lol. Doesn't seem like Jack cares all too much tbh, or maybe he's enjoying watching this all? lol

And now evil mastermind opportunist Koharun found the "worst one of them all"? Looks like he has been labeled as evil. Though if anything, Hayato just needs to be talked off the ledge. I'd like to see him and Mitsu eventually come to a resolution as well as resolve their own personal scars. In a sort of ironic way, it looks like a lot of the people who were useless to Koharun's plan (whatever that is) have now become irrelevant as well. If that was the case I really feel like some of these characters have been omitted, though I suppose they work fine as plot devices if anything.

The only thing that surprised me was that Reji was a Nanaki. Then I felt immediately confused afterwards at what the nature of Nanaki really are lol.

Mitsu crying about Masaki was so unnatural, it's like he was purposely over-acting and everyone was looking at him like "dude lol...". Everyone but Koharun forgot about Hayato. I know that Mitsu must be hurt to be treated like a pawn but it's like he legitimately wiped the thought of Hayato being stuck in the village forever out of his mind. Furthermore, if he can show that kind of compassion for Masaki, then why not the others, like Lion or Nanko who haven't outright hurt him? Seems like he forgot about Maimai as well lol. Either there's something else here or it's just bad writing.

One more episode to go!
I couldn't think of anything cool to put here.

I agree. Even though this series is full of flaws, towards the end I have actually found myself looking forward to watching this each week. Some anime this season are a chore to watch, but if anything, I've found myself entertained when it comes to this series.

Love that the ED Credits went from Bus Driver and his daughter to a creepy white van...parked in the middle of the woods at night...with no lights on... If you didn't know what was going on, you'd think that man is a pedophile. EXCELLENT.

I do gotta give them props about the pacing on this episode, but there were a few hiccups when it came to the voice animation. Not sure if it's just me or not.

3/10....IGN.

Actually one of the strongest episodes of the series so far. The bus driver and his daughter made me feel the feels. Despite the plot being completely ridiculous this series reminds me of an anime version of something like Twin Peaks and I look forward to it each week. Can't wait to see how the insanity all concludes next week.

I'm finally realizing what is happening in this anime xD
This was probably the best episode, finally they started accepting their fears, sometimes it's the hardest thing but it has to be done...
So Reiji is dead and he is the Nanaki of Masaki, that was unexpected.
That ending damn...

Can we take a moment to acknowledge how much shit that bus has gone through in this anime? Yet it's still going strong, good job Bus-kun.

Anyway, idk why but I didn't really care for the bit with the Driver and his daughter. What the actual fuck was up with that monster at the end? This anime seemed interesting at first but it got so weird and I just can't wait for it to be over.

Man the pacing in this show has been atrocious. It's been a relatively fun ride, but the middle episodes were tough to get through. There is no way this is going to be tied up neatly in the final episode.

Maimai's pretty tough. She didn't back down from Valkana one bit.

The scene with the bus driver and his daughter was great.

Ohhh, so that explains Masaki in that news article.

This show has gotten a little better the past two eps. I hope it can pull out a decent finish.

...okay. I mean, I know I should've expected this with it being only 12 eps and having over 20 charas etc etc, but seriously? The bus that Mitsumune drove truly mirrored the anime.

And yeah, if you expect me to feel something for the bus driver, then nope. It felt so rushed and terribly out of place, I can't comprehend what in the world actually going on. We barely even know anything about the driver other than a jerk who bugs other people for his own problem anyway. And no, setting the whole scene on a pretty grass field with twinkling fireflies ain't gonna help.

The transition between the scenes are so damn fast, they literally tried to shove a dozen of plots in 30 minutes. They should've just limit themself to 5-6 characters to begin with and unfold their stories one by one, not choking the viewer by the rush pacing like this.

And the whole Nanaki things? I was genuinely interested by the concept last week, but this week ep just crushed any expectation I had into pieces. So now Nanaki can talk. And can be seen by other people. Isn't Nanaki a manifestation of a person's trauma? So it shouldn't disturb people other than their 'owner', right? Why the hell are they suddenly able to interact with other people?

And by the way, by leaving your Nanaki behind, do you like, literally left them physically behind? And so that's why Reiji is there? But then shouldn't Kami-sama's Nanaki present there too if he left his Nanaki behind?

So in the end, what the fuck is a Nanaki?

The bus driver story was pretty good, and I'm finally enjoying something in this anime the last since episode ten it became pretty good, thou it's to late for pretty much eberyone's taste, and it seems like all the character are alive, oh wai! There was that boy who had a weird sickness, he actually hasn't showed up again.... Maybe with so many characters they forgot about him? Well, shit is doing nice in the end ate least, but I'm expecting that they all will be fighting their Nanaki in the end, and it's going to be just a lame flashback festival.

1 episode left so is anyone going to really actually die?

There also must be some plot hole, the bus driver is able to leave the village because he accepted his Nanaki & when trying to get back he is teleported? because he has accepted his nanaki, but Yottsun & Mitsumune are able to get back just by bus when Mitsumune could not go back before. After he & Yottsun havve accepted their nanaki.

This show has been a blast! I picked it up in the middle of the season and here I am just in time to see the last 2 episodes as they air. Although, I personally found this show much more fun to marathon with all its unpredictableness. As for this episode, it was nice that the bus driver had that moment with his daughter. Definitely one of the better written parts of the show. And Bus-kun has proved to be the strongest character in the show. It hasn't gotten a single scratch after all it's been through! Anyway, I'm excited to see this trainwreck of an anime's finale next week. How in the world are they going to try and tie up all the loose ends in a mere 24 minutes?

Good job, MAL. I saw a bunch of people last week say that Reiji was Masaki's Nanaki. I thought that was a really good deduction from everything that's happened and was happy it was confirmed this episode.

Gosh, those scenes with the bus driver and his "daughter" really got me hard. I actually managed to cry a bit while watching it. I guess because both him and Yottsun both accepted their Nanaki and weren't with Mitsumune in the bus when he returned back to the village that means they're "safe" now. Since they didn't leave their Nanaki in the village that means they won't super age like Kami-Sama.

I was really hoping to see some of Nanko's backstory, but maybe we'll see a little bit of it in the finale next weekend! It looks like the final episode is going to be Mistumune trying to help out Masaki and possibly the others with accepting their "Nanakis". I guess people will technically die/disappear if they're unable to overcome their demons in the next episode. (I still find it funny that Yottsun managed to do it first and that I totally called it last week that it was his parents forcing him to play classical music in his past).

Anyways, really excited to see the final next week! Hoping for some people to accept their Nanaki and others to just give in and disappear/succumb. Let's see who makes it out of the village!

I really hate this anime. I'm finishing it out of obligation, it's hard to exactly explain what they're doing wrong that's so.. frustrating.

For one, I'd say they hardly ever explain anything. These characters just beat around the bush during conversation. A lot of mysteries turn out so tiresome because of this. There's a lot of moments where someone would ask a direct question, and the person they're speaking to just completely mutters and dodges the question by saying something vague.

About this episode, I didn't like it. It was entirely rushed. I don't understand why they waited until right before the final to explain that. It was more of an info-dump instead of an actual revelation.

Not gonna lie, I actually felt something with the scene of the bus driver and his daughter. Probably the only emotion the series has brought me apart of laughter. I like Yottsun too, probably the most likeable character so far. Funny how the series introduced him as a jerk, when he is in truth a total bro.

But we don't miss the comedy in this. Judgness is still hillarious, Love-pon is still batshit crazy, Megane-kun has became nuts and we have another "well-done" CGI monster at the end. Sasuga, Mayoiga.

Still can't believe anyone has died yet. If they made such bait of this (since Mayoiga was speculated to be an horror anime with a lots of fodders dying), the salt will be glorious.

It will be. MC will save "Masaki-chan!" and he'll defeat Nanaki by accepting his own. Which will most likely mean all of the other characters will get a free pass.

Just speculation, however.

My other theory is that there will be a cliff hanger where he accepts his Nanaki, saves the girl, and as they head back to the village: it's gone.

the real question is how the bus managed to not hit the people. must have been a magic bus!

Masaki's nanaki (which is Reiji?) is still confusing tbh. So they can talk and give explanation to others...?

Too bad none of my the characters are my fav till the end. Oh well, the show is a ride of suspense despite its flaws especially bad writing & bad pacing. Koharun's revelation isn't Takano's craziness worthy tbh. Was kinda hoping she'd be shown with more badass evil entrance.

I get the feeling there will be full of plot holes next episode...
hopefully in the remake manga version the story would be at least more developed. thirty characters are too much tbh, what are they even used for?
