| Don't know about the LN, but so far only possibly Emillia has feelings for Subaru, so not really a harem for now. But perhaps, later on...though it needs to be 3 or more girls for it to be classified as one. |

Okay bruh, let's do a little litmus test. What's key point that makes a harem? Hint, it's not fact there girls around MC. There is certain relationship needs to happen between every female and male. |

You are making an assumption that it is a harem because you see the MC surrounded by several female characters on a poster (and I'm 100% sure you haven't watched the anime/read the novel). You have the best logic in this world, I must acknowlede it. Also, for it to be a harem you have to have these female characters to all be all over the male MC guy, which isn't the case (if you watched it, you would know it). In fact, none of these are right now. Which speaks volumes about your stupid assumption. |

| It's not technically a harem but it does fall in the typical guy surrounded by cute girls theme and focuses mostly on saving those cute girls, you know, series like Index and Monogatari seres. They're not categorized as harems but with the majority of the cast being female with the main being one of the few even relevant male characters, they're sometimes treated by them by some people. |

Most people seem to believe that it's the romance aspect that makes a harem a harem, but it's more like the character interactions of a single male character with a variety of girls who follow different character archetypes to a certain extent. | Yes this is a harem. You see, there are two beautiful young ladies that are currently after Subaru's heart and attention. First is Death-san. She is the wilder of the two ladies, and one that continues to go after him time and time again. While she is not by his side all that often, her occasional appearances in his life bring a lasting impact, one that continues to leave an impression on him that makes him change for the better. Second girl is Suffering-chan. She is the more stable and reliable of the two. While she may not have an explosive impact in his life like Death-san, she is however there with him through thick and thin. Whether he is at home doing chores, or out adventuring in the world, she has consistently remained by his side through it all. So yes.. this is in fact a harem. |
