| Wow, what the hell? This was definitely an above average episode, which is why it caught me so off-guard. True, the MC prevailing over the weak bully character via nakama power is annoying and cliche, but Stella yelling across the stadium and the badass way that he won saved the scene. Then there was a confession. In an anime. In episode 4. In which the MC isn't a brain-dead wuss. All that was left was for the recipient to not be a tsundere, and this would have been perfect. I didn't really understand whether or not she accepted it or if she even likes him back, but whatever. Sorry, people..: 5/5 |

Edit: Also, looking at your review, how are you adjusting individual ratings based on others? That's a terrible method. If the art is fantastic, you give it a fantastic score, you don't drop that one because other components (story/characters) are lower. That just screams of bias and an agenda. Absolutely no, no no no, you should never be rating an anime highly just because it looks nice, Guilty Crown looks lovely in a fair few scenes and that's one of the worst anime in recent times. No problem with that. That isn't what I said. I said that when you are rating an anime based on numerous criteria (story, characters, art, sound, enjoyment), that all of those criteria should be rated independently. The overall score is an aggregate of those criteria. User Anarchi4 was just arbitrarily deciding to lower the art score (which he admitted should have been like an 8 or 9 out of 10) just because the rest of the scores were lower, so that he would artificially lower his overall score for the show. That's pushing an agenda, not objectively rating something. If an anime has 9/10 art, you rate the art 9/10, end of story. That doesn't mean the overall score is 9, but the art is. Also the idea that an anime can't be good based on a single out-standing aspect of it is also silly. People loving Redline purely because of its aesthetics is a perfect example. Or Spice and Wolf, which is basically only loved because of its character interaction and little else. |

For all his work to be denied by everyone, and dragging Stella down along with it, even for Ikki is too much to bear. Stella's words aren't nakama power, it was because when everybody was denying his existence and he was on the brink of giving up, a prodigy like Stella is saying she likes the way he lives. Before the fight he thought "if I lose this battle, all my hardwork would mean nothing", but only now he realized that that was wrong, because someone even as talented as Stella acknowledges the path he walked. Stella's words was able to sooth Ikki and bring Ikki back to his normal state. In that instant all the fear and nervousness were pushed away, which allowed Ikki to utilize perfect vision to defeat Kirihara. It's not a wonder Ikki would confess to Stella right after that. The real enemy in this episode isn't Kirihara but Ikki himself, fighting his own fear and doubts, Kirihara is nothing but a step stone for Ikki to reconfirm his own path. |

It seems that fucking Matsuoka's pointless characters always come back when they don't move the plot in any way. I don't hate the guy, but god damn, I wish they stopped making him do those disgusting screams. Just keep with the normal voices like in Shokugeki and Aoharu. :U Anyways, raging aside, was also kind of hoping Stella would light the whole arena on fire in rage, lol. Not burn the peopl,e but you know, let out a fiery explosion to shut everyone up. 8D |

| Dang those kids are all assholes, I think Stella should have said, "make fun of him and I'll burn you to ashes!". Also, if Kirihara was going to kill Ikki, kinda would have made more sense for Ikki to severly injure him, I don't think it would have made sense for him to kill Kirihara, but stopping the blade right in front of his nose was a bit underwhelming. |

If you think the episode was a 5/5 even after being confused then you need to read the manga because that part was incredibly sweet when Stella nods her head to say yes to Ikki's confession and says "So I am your first sweetheart?". Her smile that followed as she said "I am so glad!" was just too much. No wonder why Ikki couldn't hold it anymore and hugged her right there and then. |

| Eh, I'm still not sure if I liked the fight or not, it was average at best. The villain and the crowd was cringe-inducing though. Refreshing to see MC confessing to the girl, it generally doesn't happen most of the time in other Romance-School setting anime. Well...3/5. | episode was paced really nicely.. and the fight scene was pretty intense. Glad mr ikki managed to win, and nice tender moments shared at the end there. seems like his sister decided to back off and let the ship (RSS Stella Ikki) set sail. Great episode overall. |

Childish smack-talking in combat, unintentional comedy shit-eating grins intended to make the viewer hate the antagonist when all they do is make me hate the animator, getting spurred on at the last moment by the power of love or friendship, yadda, yadda, yadda If all the fights are going to be this insulting, compensating and dragged out, then it's not worth the time. Not to mention the romance was supposed to make this anime different, yet I feel nothing for them. Almost all their "development" have come from mentally stunted fighting where all I've been doing is rolling my eyes. At least Alice had two insightful monologues, raising the score by a point for this episode (from negative 5 to negative 4 out of 10.) |

Perhaps it could have been portrayed more subtley (no naked power moan for example LOL, and less hentaiish bikini scenes), but I think the idea of it being fanservice isn't inherently bad in those scenarios, just slightly toned down perhaps. Strip at the mall feels a bit cliche tho, I admit. And the Anime version of the sister kiss is very questionable as well. |

| The episode was amazing. And the anime too! Loved they added the forest at "Are Invisible". I was really surprised in a good way at that part. Also, this anime is clearly above Gakusen Toshi Asterisk. My score: 5/5 |
