| Somewhat pretentious and way too much dialogue without moving the story further, but I recognize that there might a potentially interesting mystery here. The genius Dr. gave me a Hannibal Lecter vibe. The character designs reminded me a lot of Oyasumi Punpun. Now there's a great manga that will never see an anime adaption unfortunately. |

| the concept is good (i guess? plot isn't told but still is implied) , animation is good, sound is good characterization is good... but i don't know the characters themselves, the way they are and think, feels just too unrealistic, people might like that, but i don't, and i have my theories about that too, but really. also the whole thing of "with age you become an idiot" it's HEAVILY misunderstood, as they mean about genre of thought, not though itself(i think, otherwise that wouldn't make sense, as a child simply is more prone to errors and simple thinkking than an adult, especially regarding psychology) |

| The dialogue between all the characters were top notch. Can't say much about the story or how the mystery will unfold (not much happened) animation/ character designs and color were all very well done too I came in with no expectations and now I'm very much looking forward to how all this pans out. |

| The talking about "life" seemed like it was trying too hard to be deep. And while the OP/ED songs and visuals are interesting, it is hard not to see it as just a budget issue so they didn't have to actually animate anything lol. I hope it gets more interesting as it goes, but it wasn't a bad introduction. |

| Kinda slow for me, hopefully it picks up in later episodes. Not too sure of what I think of Moe yet... I feel she could get kinda annoying. |

| I'm a big fan of exposition when done correctly. I feel like it's building up the tension for the episodes to come but I won't keep my expectations high. I like this subtle yet gradual mystery. Still, I find Nishisono's attraction to Saikawa a tad annoying, they just had to go with that route huh? A trope the show could've totally done without. |

| I didn't have any expectation before I watched it, but now I have :x I found this first episode really interesting, by the atmosphere, by the dialogue. The characters sounds pretty interesting as well. When the episode has just started I found Moe pretty cool, cause she was giving such an happy vibe but then she sounded a bit.. I don't know, a bit annoying, but this is just the first episode imo. Waiting for the next one. |

| The OP does not fit the tone of this series, like... at all. That said: welcome AOTY 2015. The atmosphere reminds me a lot of Zankyou no Terror, except this is actually a lot more interesting than ZnT. I haven't liked a character based on the first episode exclusively as much as I like Saikawa in a long time. |

| Very interesting atmosphere and directing. The short time skips (i.e. the girl giving the man a tissue for his eye drop, followed by a a shot of the tissue crumpled up) remind me of Satoshi Kon's work. At the moment the script feels kind of... pseudo-intellectual, but as long as the show can expand on its themes in an new and interesting way, I think it could end up being one of my favourites. |

| I really don't know where this one is going. And there's a few part that I don't know what the heck they're talking about. But it seem interesting. I like the character design style, it give a more realistic tone to the story. The youngest girl is adorable. Unfortunatly, she seem to have landed in the wrong show, as this show doesn't seem to be a romance at all. |

| Wow, what an intense and amazing first episode!! Like the pace and the characters are interesting (I hope Moe won't get annoying as the series progresses...). The OP was cool too. Though I can't see what the plot is really about (besides these philosophical, existential questions) where the plot is going, i'm looking forward to watching this! |

| OP experimental anim style on grid quite refreshing. Lovely Bach cello. Not very often osts are that clean - solo playing. Interesting 3 questions, and cool pseudo philosophical dialogue and playful retorts in subtext. Reminds me more of OreGairu2 subtext with the literary discussions in Katanagatari/Hyouka. Liking Moe already as main, a quick, smart female we don't see every season. Dr. Magata... like straight from the japanese horror girl trope. I thought she was an AI at first, or a ghost living in Saikawa's pc. Ok she's alive, a smart murderer asking math questions. I can't be doing mental math after my 14hr workdays nopenopenope... Interesting realistic character designs, dark shaded art, nice tense atmosphere without anything happening. I almost nerdgasmed at the ED, using the wonderfully quirky clisp programming language, and running Conway's Game of Life to form the patterns and Dr. Magata using pixels & older Unix GUI. Like interactive unix: MrNTR said: without even any context of which to bring such topics up, just to try to sound smart doesn't make you smart, its just a waste of time. Sensei said "Luxury means something with no meaning at all." Episode seems a setup of what this computer/philosophy lab is & the dynamics among these characters full of pretentious ideas, before the mystery takes off, which is established by their planned trip to that island. |
