Exactly. Plus this is a kids anime, they wouldnt have Videl pregnant at 16. She's 20/21 here. |

I actually thought the transformation sequence looked kind of nice. All of those clouds swirling around... looked cool & whatnot. The rest of the episode had some iffy looking moments, though. Like when Goten & Trunks picked up the Dragon Balls to put them on the ground... and they just kind of disappeared off of the table they were on. The Super Saiyan God design still looks stupid. I'm sorry, but red hair and red eyes is just dumb looking. Anyway, female Super Saiyan... looks cool. I have to wonder if the actual version will look different, though... since she was just radiating the energy instead of actually turning into one, herself. Also, does that mean Pan became a Super Saiyan while she was still in the womb! Videl's stomach glowing seemed to suggest that... gotta say, that's pretty badass. SweetGelato said: So how old is Shenron anyway? Did the Namekian who made Shenron really know who Beerus was? Seeing as how the one who created Shenron was Kami-sama, of Earth, who occasionally chatted telepathically with King Kai, as well as being on good terms with King Yemma, I'm guessing it's very likely that he had met Beerus at least once before. |

WTF is going on here? They legit burned half the episode on the transformation. I thought/hoped after Kai we were done with pacing issues. Bad enough the first arc is just them redoing BOG (which makes it worthless) but now we're just dragging things out? For what? I've got to assume this fight lasts two eps at the least also. This arc probably won't be over until episode 15. |

I chuckled when Chi Chi said "but he brought Trunks to the park" as if that negates all the atrocities he committed. Vegeta was revived by Porunga in the Kid Boo fight BECAUSE he was good now. He redeemed himself after he returned from Hell. And the requirement is to have a righteous heart, not a pure one. It's no plot hole, if the show thinks Vegeta is good now, then he's good. It's just that simple. No that doesn't work like that. Just because you are revived doesn't abolish your past actions. Vegeta has destroyed countless planets, killed the Ginyu force members after Goku spared them, allowed himself to be controlled by Babadi and slaughtered thousands of innocent civilians just to bait Goku. All that right there is not of a pure of heart. Remember what Piccolo said back after Vegeta asked if he will see Goku before his final explosion? Piccolo said that Goku devoted "his entire life" to helping others and thus was rewarded with his body. The only reason King Yemma allowed Vegeta to get his body during the Buu arc is because they were desperate for a solution against Kid Buu. This is a plot hole period. |

I think it depends on what you consider pure of heart. Vegeta is definitely a good guy as he no longer has any evil intentions. He sacrificed his life to try to kill Majin Buu, knowing that he may not be brought back to life or be rewarded with his own body. But yes, King Yemma did allow Vegeta to go back to Earth with his body to fight Majin Buu (he still had the halo above his head if I remember correctly). I'd say the biggest inconsistency is Dende's height lol Pretty sure he's meant to be a little shorter than Piccolo, yet majority of the time he's the same height as he was when he was on Namek lol |

Really really bad ones is subjective to Purunga. Really bad ones could be someone on the level of Freeza for all we know. For plot connivence Toriyama wanted Vegeta to be alive and thus subjectivity was used in the wish instead of a concrete wish that had no wiggle room. I saw pure of heart but fine lets use "righteous heart" as the requirement. Let us see the definition of righteous which is "a person who is morally right" and I still don't see Vegeta having that. He has shown no remorse for his actions, any of them, and has never proved that he is a changed person other than protecting his friends and family, and while that is noble, its not good enough. |

Everybody said that already, but what the hell: PACING WAS ATROCIOUS. Fun little thing I noticed when it comes to bad art though: it seems no matter how weak the team behind current episode is, nobody is able to draw Beerus badly. Every time he looks decent or just good. Of course I don't count scenes where he stands in the background, but all human characters get derpy faces sporadically and Beerus just... don't. His cat face must be truly hard to draw ugly. Or I'm just blind. This episode was a pain to watch, but at least I got solid laughs from Goku calling Vegeta a wet blanket, Vegeta waiting for his turn, Goku being an asshole to everyone unintentionally and ChiChi showing off her Mother Of The Whole World tendencies (we have far better saying in Poland about this type of woman but sadly it doesn't translate at all). Seriously tough, after all these years I couldn't care less about power levels, fights and planets blowing up for ten episodes straight. I'm here for humour and scenes with Piccolo showing he's better father than Goku. Ah, and Beerus and Whis bickering like old marriage. |

Pan being righteous or not is a good subject to discuss, but Vegeta being righteous shouldn't even be a debate at this point, it's more than obvious to anyone that he is. As for Pan, my only explanation is that all humans and half-saiyans are righteous by default. |

It's fucking hilarious that people are constantly saying ''too slow'', but you're fucking watching dragon ball. I think it's actually going too fast paced according to dragon ball standards. I don't think Videl actually became a super saiyan just got enveloped in the ki or something or maybe her baby did. Weird, hope it's not pan in her womb since that would remind me of GT. Why the hell are Pilaff and his gang still kids? The animation was ok, hype next week. |

When did that happen? Pure sure but we are looking for righteous, which means they need to be alive to do morally right decisions. The entire idea of Super Saiyan God is built on inconsistencies. This is just a possibility, but in the Christian faith (or at least, what I know of it), unborn (presumably past 6 months or whenever the abortion time frame ends) and newly born children will be taken up to Heaven both upon death and as a result of the Rapture (end of days and all that). I guess it's one of those "good/righteous by default" kind of things? Anyway, there's no way to tell if Toriyama was thinking of that when he wrote this, so... My big thing is this: if Goku (according to the movie version) more or less "absorbs" the Super Saiyan God form into his normal form, isn't that basically cheating? Anytime someone would have tried the ritual in the past (which could have been just once for all we know), they would have had to repeat it each time they needed their Super Saiyan God. Not to mention the fact that Super Saiyans were seemingly rare until recently. I know it would mess with the pacing and basically force all of the Saiyans to always be present, but it'd be interesting if they had to do the ritual each time they needed Goku or Vegeta to go Super Saiyan God. |

Soooooooo, is vegeta being a good or bad guy/an unborn child being righteous or not and therefor suitable or non-suitable for acquiring a Super Sayjin God really important enough to qoute christian faith and discuss other inconsequences about that in ages long posts during a fight with the God of Destruction to save the world in an Anime that's basically about guys beating the crap out of each other after using magic glass balls to summon a dragon to grant wishes and answer questions? _ Also it is true that Shenlong didn''t grant any of three wishes, but to be fair I guess he just wanted to run away from Beerus xD |

Videl going pseduo-Super Saiyan. Honestly, I'd like to see more of that. Remember that Vegeta was born into the royal bloodline of a race that is naturally aggressive. He has seen his entire race and family be slaughtered, became the lackey to the very tyrant who did so and met someone who proved to be stronger than him and managed to get revenge on his behalf. He's selfish, arrogant and has commited mass genocide in his bid to be the best, but over the course of the series he has undergone the most character development; going from a hot-headed lackey who wanted to blow up the Earth to being a family man, though the rivalry with Goku has always been consistent. Everyone else was brought up in a much more pleasant environment. Of all of them he's the most realistic. I guess giving a toss about someone else meets the Saiyan requirements of having a pure heart and that the definition of being pure-hearted isn't so black-and-white. Which explains how he's a Godly Super Saiyan (I refuse to call it SSGSS) in Revival of F. |

It's obvious Vegeta is a good guy now, there's no doubt about that. It shouldn't even be a discussion point. Also I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying we got to see a super saiyan female. Helding hands to achieve Kami transformation, what a joke... They made a shitty movie, now the TV series has to follow it, what a bunch a crap. Every Sayan transformation(and Kaioken) till now was hard to obtain and now we have this... and it took almost a whole episode to do it. I'll drop this soon if it continuous to go on a "happy go lucky" vibe, there is a limit. There is no longer the epic gruesome slugfests from Z, nothing. And the animation is really bad, way worst than those Ultimate Tekaichi reanimated scenes... |

Ummm, so what is the reason of this series? Sure we see examples of rereleasing TV series into a movie, but to do this other way round is weird. Of course it will be a failure, worse pacing, worse production values, why even reanimating everything instead of cutting parts of the movie and adding some new animated scenes? The result could look much better. I just hope that the main fight will look at least decent compared to the movie. Just please, don't drag 14 minutes of the movie's action scene into several episodes, please. |
