I overdid it this season! It'd be easier to say what I'm not watching at this point. I doubt I'll keep up to date with all of them, but that's okay. Some shows you need to see right away, but others are nice to build up so you can marathon. Got any standouts, or ones you've already dropped or are going to?
Oof, Journey of Elaina is rough. She almost not even amoral, just, I don't know. Like they were aiming for neutral and she's just awful. I'm too far in to give it up now, but I may knock down the score a bit to even it out.
Sorry about the anxiety. Do you see someone for it? I'm pretty much low key anxious about this world I brought three humans into all day long, so that's fun. But anime's my retreat from all of that, so I'm not going dwell too much here.
I'm drawing a blank on "fun" right now, I watch too many serious shows. It's hard to find a good comedy since it's so subjective to each person. I am liking Jujutsu Kaisen a lot, but I think I was unreasonably cautious after the hot mess that was God of High School. Maybe it's a source material thing. You watching anything you like, or have anything on your radar for winter or spring 2021?
How are you?
Holy shit. That was the most distinctively un-anime anime I've ever seen. Blown away. 10/10 for the episode.
If you're looking for more like Shingeki Genesis, I recommend Tiger and Bunny, Lupin III series and Soredemo Sekai. :D
I am so ridiculously happy about Fairy Tail. The rest I'm having fun with, except maybe Mekakucity Actors. It feels like we're in for a whole bunch of introductory episodes, and I don't think think it's longer than one cour, so meh. But you know how stubborn I am, a show has to be pretty damn terrible for me to drop. It may take me six or seven years, but I'll get there eventually (lol).
I've actually been working on my backlog a bit this year. It was easier last season when there was practically nothing worth watching (imo, of course), but I'm still finishing a good three or four shows a month from my on hold/to watch list. It helps that so much is available streaming these days. I'm also trying to find balance between all my hobbies, instead of my usual obsessed with one thing at a time style. I feel like I wasn't retaining anything doing it my usual way, so what was the point, you know? Argumentatively, some shows aren't worth remembering, but I should still be able to remember a basic plot. I look over my completed list sometimes and have no idea what some of them are (MAL's insistence on all Japanese titles no matter what may be a small reason).
Any strong yays or nays for the spring season yet? Although I'm already watching way too much. It feels like the old days again. :) I'm in my thirties now, I can say things like that.
Jack I like. He's not my favorite or anything, but he seems to be redeeming himself.
I love Fairy Tail. I know it's trope-ridden and I can guess what's coming miles away, but I adore the goofiness. It's just so...fun. Too many other shounen titles take themselves too seriously. It's not a bad thing, but Fairy Tail's just so refreshing to me.
It's hard to say, since I have watched it in a really long time and only recently picked it up again.
My only thought at the moment is I don't like Crow. >.>
So there really hasn't been much I've been watching consistently, so not a lot sticks out in my mind--the danger of both marathoning and finishing off 20~ series in one month. Durarara!! is probably the only winter anime I truly love, but Baka to Test did surprise by being a lot more fun than the original premise entailed. Kimi ni Todoke was my favorite from the fall...it was very honest for shoujo.
And what have you been watching?
I'll go ahead and send the request. :)
That way, we can keep up with life there, and leave here for anime/manga. Then my response time might improve.
Just a thought.
