Rokka no Yuusha is on the list, it's something *shrugs* I would also like to check Isekai Shokudou, but it's a new novel and probably won't get translated any time soon, if ever. |

OVERLORD has gotten a 600,000 copy reprint run, passing 1 million copies in print. Obvious praises aside, I'm really glad to see Kenja no Mago get a really strong start. It's a top ranked web novel of Syosetu and it only just started this year, making it also one of the fastest series to receive a publication from its inception on the web. Elf Tensei too is deserving of praise for having a strong debut. |

NGNL, rokka and overlord.. Good week I guess. It's unfortunate, that nor gate, nor rokka doesn't get attention they deserves. Well, I can't wait for SAO to come out at last. The translation will take for a while... |

Thats weird. Madan no Ou, Index, DxD, Hidan no Aria, almost every novel is underperforming in about 20% compared to their previous volume. Or Oricon fucked up the data or one of the huge bookstores stopped reporting their sells to her. if this is true every novel from now on will be reported with lower numbers than it used to have. |

Paulo27 said: lol Rokka no Yuusha above Overlord suck it, fanboys Errr... The volume 6 just got out, that's hardly the same as having former volumes getting back in the top sales. RnY has yet to have that happening even for its 1st volume. There' s a good improvement as i said already. RnY sales were quite low without anime compared to some other adapted LN . When you already sells 30k+ per volume without anime, obviously the anime influence is easier to get as well ~ For volume 4 we had a 7k for 5 days then disappearing from the ranking, for volume 5 it didn't even appear in the ranking even the first week which means less than 5,8k (which was the cut off that time) in 3 days. With volume 6, we not only got 7k the first week, but the second week it somehow managed to get right inside the cut off and appear too, for a total of 12k. That's definitely an improvement. If seems like the other volumes are selling too. Volume 1 to 5 last week sold together more than 9k. Again, this is to put in comparison with the fact that the volume 1 to 5 together before the anime probably were around 50k (10k per volume I suppose, 7k the first week and then a little here and there, more for the volume 1 like any series). Adding 9k in one week to the 50k it had until now is definitely not negligible. Yes, compared to other novels it doesn't sell a lot. And I'm sure the publishing company expect more. It's still selling though. And the anime is a slow starter, so you can't expect the sales to start fast with that either. It may progress the following week. I'm particularly interested in the next two sales report in fact. It would be interesting is someone has the sales by series again that week, to see if we can get the number of sales for volume 1 to 5 as a whole even if there's not enough to have it per volume. |

Rokka is riding on Overlord's tailcoat #PleaseStop Putting that stupid fan war aside, Overlord's publishing label is the same as several series I own, which are clearly classified as Light Novel ( KADOKAWA/エンターブレイン ). This includes Youjo Senki, a series from which I just finished reading volume 4 where in the postscript the author was again calling his series a light novel. So I don't know what kind of place you got the information that this label wasn't publishing light novels, but that looks quite wrong. And since the only difference between light novel and novel in japan is the publishing label under which it's published (no difference in content), that's quite stupid to try getting proud of this anyway ImO. |

NT12 didn't become successful (along with so many other things) because Touma took a backseat despite how deeply involved he is (supposedly) into what's happening in that arc. I doubt that not focusing on him again would be wise. |

So there's a drop of sales for volume 1-5 of RnY compared to last week, rather than the improvement I was hoping for. It was 9700 it's now 8300. Looks like there's little hope to see even the volume 1 appear just one week in the bunko ranking at this rate. starting from next week RnY's series sales won't have volume 6 boosting it so we won't even have the stats any more. :( |
