| Great episode, its really fun for some reason watching Ippo's progress, he's come a long way already in such a short span of time, I guess he can only get stronger now, but seeing just how far he goes should be an awesome ride =] |

| Not sure how accurate those training methods are (with the thinner pads to build confidence and all that), but I like the depiction of the coach. Also genius how he incited a rivalry to help both his students simultaneously. |

| This series is really good. Not only do we got to see him grow and continuously progress with his training, I also really liked the comedy scenes. It combines both silly stuff and serious character development perfectly! The animation is pretty damn good too, and I like the soundtrack! It's not bombastic, but really fits the scenes! I am already rooting for Ippo. I guess I can consider myself hooked! |
| Kanchou lol I found the duo baka(s)! Ippo just didn't know he's going to be a toy for them xD That uppercut pose seems pretty uncomfortable But I guess that was a perfect form? | So far, he's finally gotten a grasp of how his soon-to-be opponent will fight in the ring without having to step into it and face against him again. Impressive~ That uppercut looked sweet too. All he needs to do is to keep that up and find a way to make it hit. |

| Ippo starting his training well as that grandpa makes him Miyata's future opponent. He also learned the upper cut this episode which is pretty useful. Also shadow boxing which he's getting to master. |
