| I was wondering why people actually liked this series what with the bad story, bad dialog, lifeless characters, bad action sequences and so-so art. After episode 2 and seeing Alisa, i realize i was expecting the wrong thing. This is not an action anime or a story based one either. It is a fan service anime and i should be watching it solely for Alisa fan service shots. Lets just say they are going to have to be REALLY good to make it worth it though. |

No seriously, I don't really know why they felt like shoehorning a character death in so soon as if he survived and gets a more developed personality; his death could actually mean something. I think I'll keep watching for the soundtrack though, damn was that guitar solo awesome. |

| The slow motion sequences make no sense. This still had lesser. The first ep was like wtf are they slow-mo-ing for?? Dialogue is definitely cringeworthy. Like.. how funny is that... you're a friggin God Eater, and you're waiting for all the other planes to fall off before you decide to do something about it. If she's so good, why take her sweet time. This show has utter serious problems. But yeah.. whatev.. gonna stick to watching this and seeing how it turns out. Their heirarchy is ridiculous. |

| It's shocking to see how bad this series seems to be. First, the protagonist is hopelessly idiotic and almost entirely one dimensional. The frequent comparison between him and Eren Yaeger isn't actually that far fetched and before you say 'God Eater was made first/made around the same time', keep in mind that this guy is made for this anime. He doesn't exist in the game. Any attempts at character building for this guy come across as either cliche or shallow. I mean, for me, he's Eren, only without the at least believable albeit expected motivations and with a weird compass...great start. Hey, there's lighting around me coming from a Varja. Better stand here and get hit. Oh yeah, I'm not trained. Better go out and try to fight off the attack because I'm a hero that has to kill the Aragami!Since he's the new kid on the block, the story revolves around him, so that takes a hit, too. Secondly, the art style, which was already divisive from the star, is not doing the show any favors. It seemed like a good idea, but the animation quality is choppy most of the time and you can tell when the studio is blatantly cutting corners. I know anime isn't always as detailed as some western animated productions, but some times faces and insignias look like featureless blobs on the screen. The Aragami and other CG stuff is hit or miss, not the mention that some scenes are just still shots with no movement to save what little money the studio apparently has at its disposal. This is coming from the guys who made your eyes bleed with Kara No Kyoukai, Fate series and even the Tales of animated scenes. Thirdly, the music. It attempts to be edgy, but there really isn't much here. Maybe one good track so far, probably the one where Lenka is stepping of his cell. Everything else is either typical or straight up weird (that funeral music, for sure). The OP, in both music and design, is one of the weakest I've scene in recent memory and not even Soma's badass moves or Alisa's underboob flip can save it. The ED is decent, doesn't fit with the show very well. You may say "gee, it's episode 2, give them a break/ it's only just begun", but it's just sad that ufotable has to have their named slapped on this thing. It's not just their fault, but this show is nonetheless ruining their good name. TL;DR: MC is trash, art is weaksauce and music is thumbs-down. |

| Problem with ufotable tv shows is that they are really impressive visually at the start but it doesn't feel as special once you start getting used to the visuals. I would prefer it if they stuck with doing theatrical productions tbh. |

| This series just feels so lifeless. I don't need to see a slow-mo of the MC falling dramatically to the ground for no reason. Or have another one die for no reason. They seriously need to step their game up, because so far this series has been boring the shit out of me. |
| I hope they dont wreck Alisa and make her The typical tsundere. I am really liking this show, and how it gives of KNIGHTS OF SIDONIA vibes. The MC could be a typical shonen character but i hope he turns out to be darker. Erics death was a good touch but seemed kinda rushed. |

| Alisa seems to be very confident with her skills. Let's hope she can deliver a performance that matches her confidence next week. I'm settling in to the show's art style and soundtrack, but the animation at times was out of sync and choppy, mostly when fighting the 3D monsters. It kinda lacked the intensity that I was hoping to see honestly. Lenka's not a great MC, but would you rather prefer a MC that constantly whines, complains and goes emo at some point rather than Lenka right now? It seems in shows involving a lot of action, it's too much of a luxury to see a good MC that most people can agree on nowadays. =/ Still, the episode was decent. I'm hoping the next one can improve on this with Alisa in action. |
| Sanji became impatient from being absent from One Piece for so long so now he's killing Aragamis lol. Anyway, I felt no emotion toward Eric's death since we knew him for a whole 10 minutes or so (between his intro last episode and what we saw of him in this ep). I know it has only been 2 episodes but this series is rather mediocre right now, I'm really hoping it picks up within the next few episodes. And seriously, Slow-motable needs to chill out with the slow motion scenes...... |

| Better than ep1 but that's because we didn't focus on Lenka and the few scenes with him weren't bad. Loved how he asked Lindow "What should I have done" "Teach me" That's the approach MCs of his type need to have :P Alisa's body is insane :L Dem underboobs <3 OST was awesome with a new track. Liked ep1s insert song more tho :P RIP Eric that death was brutal. |

| I have great complains for director of this title. He is a big fan of slow motion, as i see. Because there are more of it than it even needed. And somehow, i had feeling that i watch trailer for some action movie rather than anime episode. But there is and the good side of course. Soundtrack was really good. Sometimes i even distracted on it from watching episode. And i see a lot of you writing something about art style. Have nothing against it. Guess i like it. There is some poorly drawn scenes. Maybe because of not proper using cel-shading, maybe of something else. Its not that bad than it could be. |

| I actually like this show. I like the unique animation and ost. Yes the story is just ok but much better that a lot of shows this season. I'm surprised by the amount of hate it's getting it's almost like people just waited for it to air just to hate on every single detail in it. I've seen much worse anime that are unoriginal in every way this season that are getting love. I get that to each his own but it's kinda strange really |

Looks kinda unactrive. AKA Bad cell shading game thats actually a anime: Miss fake chest can't save this anime. I mean to stand them like that they are fake. I mean, look at this guy face, this color - it doesn't fit. It doesn't look natural. It looks like the Game for Xbox/PS2 XIII! Only that this game back then was good! Well, thats what you get if you 'hype' ufotable. |

The MC is just one of the worst kinds i have ever seen. sofar this is show has barely any value and there is no good reason anyone should watch this TRASH..unless its for a guilty pleasure. 2/5 |
| So Eric died saving Lenka, and in a quite shitty way that is.. T_T I was afraid that he would be some OP main lead, but it seems like he actually needs training to become skilled. Hooray for that o/, he has balls though. |

| A great episode, didn't take too much time to get me drown I guess, the op is very good, and I love that soundtrack *o* !!! Sure Eric's death was very sad but glad to see how the MC is getting motivated, I like how they filled the episode with showing a loot of characters and they're pretty cool actually, smoking dude is my favorite in this anime so far, his name is Rindou if I'm not mistaken and so I have high hopes for this show! |

| The unnecessarily awkward slow motion scenes are killing this show, along with the generic MC, oh and the story, and the dialogue, but maybe not the ost. Hoping this improves. Also, Eric death felt too forced IMHO. |
