tsubasalover said: *5. *32,652 *32,652 Love Live! School Idol Project Character Song "Mi wa μ’sic no Mi" by μ’s This isn't a character song. It is a collaboration single between KADOKAWA Media Ascii Works and Dengeki G's magazine. On the sales, decent sales for this single that doesn't have any bonuses bundled and is not associated with the anime at all. Even that Cinderella Girls single with an event ticket serial code could not beat it... We know what an event ticket can do for Love Live, with BD 2nd Season Vol.1 selling 82K+ in the 1st week, but the music doesn't need one anyway. The mobile game serial code does more than enough anyway. I also can't wait to see how high the Love Live movie grosses, and how high the movie BDs and the 5th concert sells. The 4th concert is almost at 60K and has no bonuses at all, so the fanbase is pretty big for a late-night anime franchise. And this is underestimated as a lot of people bought G4U bundles. I shall post G4U sales tomorrow when Famitsu rankings will be up for people who are interested to know the exact sales. Has an event ticket serial code on the standalone BD and also an event ticket serial code for a separate event on the G4U game bundle: http://imas-cinderella.com/package/01.html Fans of Idolmaster have to double dip there to get both ticket serial codes. Obviously it will not sell anywhere near this from Vol.2 onwards unless they bundle event ticket serial codes on all the volumes. |

Drop for KanColle but not significant, hopefully the sales and fanbae will increase with the sequel when they (hopefully) get rid of Bucky, sink her, ignore her I don't care, she was awful. Shinmai pretty consistent as is Shigatsu. My copies of Shinmai and KanColle should be with me by the end of the week. Also not quoted but consistent sales again fo SAO, Mahouka, Amagi and Cross Ange, all fab shows that deserve their good-great sales. *2. 150,417 150,417 Kekkai Sensen OP "Hello, world!" by Bump of Chicken (incl. in "Hello, world! / Colony") Whoa that is a lot more than I would have expected, didn't know they were that popular. thought the song was pretty forgettable personally. |

thepath said: I'm surprised that mediocre OP like Kekkai Sensen sold that much BUMP OF CHICKEN is a mainstream artist, so it doesn't really matter what anime it is associated with... it would've sold a lot regardless. rederoin said: I wonder how much Idolmaster sold if you include the version that has the G4U bundle. It could be comparable to the standalone sales because the G4U bundle also has an event ticket serial code for a different event from the event ticket serial code on the standalone. Double dipping at its finest, but means it could fall harder than usual in later volumes. If not, it will still have the standard event ticket drop at the minimum. |

Gundam The Origin G-Reco Idolmaster stuff everywhere Muse Kuroko no Basket Sword Art Online Jojo Gintama Cross Ange Strong week for Bandai sponsored titles as is usually the case around Spring time I've noticed. Still overall projected sales strike me as down for Spring as they have been for the past several seasons overall and there's no Love Live to cover for things by being disproportionately popular like there was last Spring. I still think the Anime Blu-Ray market in Japan looks like it's continuing to trend down, but I'll probably be told that I'm wrong. Either that or just too many sequels and decaying sales and apathy setting in for what were once some serious top sellers. I mean there's a lot of shows from Winter and even this Spring that are in there 2nd, 3rd or even 4th seasons or just from franchises that have been around forever like Gundam, Gintama, Jojo, Idolmaster etc. Basically half the shit in my list above. Really the only stand out seller that has no legacy to stand on because it's brand new is Shirobako which genuinely impresses me in terms of how quickly it got popular. It's a well done show IMO, but what I think rarely goes hand in hand with what's popular which is all the more surprising so it's kind of neat and got me to comment again so there's that. |

13k for Cinderella Girls, hopefully the funding can be used for a Million Live anime where disappointment is almost non-existent. as for the Spring estimates Hello Kinmosa needs to be higher, I want a third season. |

Z4k said: 6.8k for Kekkai Sensen? If the estimates are accurate then those are really great numbers. I thought it might be somewhere near 2-3k since it might not appeal to them. Not surprised at all to see Ore monogatari below 2k since its Madhouse. Kekkai is almost the only non sequel/spin off anime this Spring that always stays on top 200 Amazon spot, it would get at least 6k. Ore monogatari may sell over 2k, because girls usually buy on other site - not Amazon, but I dont care anyway cause its a shoujo |

That's a really really sleazy strategy that only the likes of Bandai and Aniplex could come up with together and reeks of their tendency towards DLC, though I guess with Idol fandom that's one of those times people aren't really going to complain about it. Anyway I find the situation with Idolm@ster in Japan kind of amusing because a lot of commentators are just in such full blown denial about certain things more than I've ever seen, like for example LL just being the more popular of the two idol franchises at this point in time no matter how you try to spin it. I mean first lets just get this out of the way, it's ultimately the same company making money at the end of the day regardless of what happens, but some IM@S fans animosity towards Love Live seems to be making them literally delusional. I've seen some comments go so far as trying to ridicule the new u's single for getting outsold by Bump of Chicken's new single (a really great song by a mainstream rock band IMO) and it's numbers not being where they were when singles were being promoted alongside and then turning around and celebrating the IM@S singles for being slightly above where the original anime's were with all the event tickets and what not packaged in that the original anime's releases never had (and Love Live certainly doesn't have nor apparently needs anymore) and claiming that IM@S has triumphed over u's even though the numbers are literally there for everyone to see. Again at the end of the day it hardly matters, it's all to the benefit of Bamco, but like wow that's some strong dedication to wanting to really wanting to see things a certain way. I mean it just doesn't get anymore clear cut than a single not tied in anyway to an anime with no event ticket or extras having a better first week than a single tied to a popular heavily promoted anime with an event ticket. If that's not convincing enough nothing ever will be really. |

If that's not convincing enough nothing ever will be really. Love Live got fed to the dogs recently, they had the nerve to pass off that bland amalgamation as a new Love Live installment. The original Love Live has charm, what I seen was bottom of the barrel blandness. I still think Sunrise did all they could with the series and it turned out far better than expected and they should retire it since they won't use the remaining original cast and 3 new replacements which would've been a better idea. |
