| Character names just seem too trivial to remember. Sometimes they might have hidden meanings behind them, but they should be just very vague hints. A name shouldn't define a person. Unless they are repeated every episode or are easy to remember I just cbf. |

| Most of the times I know the names of the characters after about 2 or 3 episodes. I do forget most of the names after completing the show though. |

| During my watch of a show I'll be able to remember the names of the reoccurring characters. If I'm unsure or forget the name of the character I'll just call them by their defining features. |

| I'm disturbingly bad at remembering character names and it bothers me a little. But I guess I have a few excuses to explain it. For instance, in books you absolutely need to remember the names because that's how you recognize the characters, but in anime you don't necessarily have to know the name since you can just... look at the character. So maybe brain understands this and decides that names are useless information that doesn't need to be stored. |

| Takes me a while. I'm up to episode 10 of Sabagebu and I've only just now remembered all of the girls names in the survival club. Things like No game no life and Zankyo no Terror? Loved them but only remember 9, Lisa, Shiro, Stephanie and Sora. Pretty bad when it comes to Japanese names. I'm not proud of it. |

| I'm currently watching Girlfriend (Kari) and I don't remember a single name of any character. I'm surprised the characters in it even remember who each other are. I remember characters who leave an impression, if their name is only mentioned in passing or they're not very important to the story I don't mind just identifying them as 'cute eyebrows' or something :D |

| I would be able to remember a few though some might be slightly off by a syllable. Talking about them in the episode discussion does sort of help. I'd be amazed if I remember any names after a month. |

| Rarely. I'll only remember the first 2 letters or syllables, but rarely their entire name. This becomes a problem with shows that have a lot of characters. In those cases, I have to force myself to pay more attention to the names. Lancehot said: I find it easier to remember the hair colour than the name Same. |

I like the show, but jesus if they think we'll remember every single character. Well, except for Kokomi, Chloe and Fumio; those three are really the only ones worth remembering anyway. But unless the show is Shirobako, where there's a huge cast introduced in episode one and then you're forced to remember them all, then I'm pretty good at remembering everyone's names pretty early on. |

| Japanese names are usually hard for me to remember. Unless I really liked the character, like Hachiman. But I will never ever remember the names of the girls in harems (Unless it's a heck of a damn interesting one, like Highschool DxD or Inou Battle). Hopefully it's something like Mashiro Symphony where they all have colourful hair so I can easily just refer to their hair colour. EDIT: Also, I find that if I'm talking about the anime a lot with people (IRL or online) that I end up picking up the names easily. |

Even with my favorites that I might have watched many times, I might forget the names. I think I'll go with Caim and say that if I remember the names then the anime probably has my attention. If not, then I'm probably just spacing out or something. |
| Always if I really like the show. If it's boring or I'm not really into it, I will forget about the character's names every week. Happened with Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu. |

| I used to remember all of the main characters names I've seen, but after a few years it became too hard. So now I remember only the ones I really liked or disliked. But even then after some time I can mix up similar names, like Haruka and Haruna or something. |
