I kinda want to do a small "review" of this episode

Characters: In this episode, everything is revealed and the paradox is solved. Sibyl is judged and Kamui takes the ultimate risk and everything literally unravels itself. Very nice build-up, although it was VERY predictable and similar to S1. This is the status of the characters post-epilogue.
Akane is now the apparent future judge and continues as an Inspector.
Mika continues to deny her knowledge and be an inspector.
Saiga goes back to isolation.
Sibyl continues to provoke Akane and stays SIbyl.
Kamui is dead (I think?)
Togane is dead.
Then Gino, Yayoi, Shimotsuki, and the others basically stay the same.

Oh. Division 1 got a news enforce by the way.

Plot: It has a nice build-up and theending wasn't half-bad. Expecting a bit of action, although I was a bit impressed.

4/5.

The finale is pretentious, anti-climatic, and makes zero f**king sense, just like the rest of the show.

PP1 may be pretentious, but at least it gives us something to think about, it has characters that we care about. PP2 is just completely pointless.

Truly a franchise rape.

S2 overall was okay. Enjoyed the last episode but wasn't really excited by it. It was a bit ridiculous when Tougane says he's doing all this so his mommy can be a shining flower.

You know comparing this to the Kogami vs Makashima fight makes this even more disappointing. Convenient how Akane didn't get her hands dirty and is still crystal clear. Hands down the worst sequel to an anime I ever seen.

They should remove the "2" from the name and just call this an OVA or something.
The studio that made this season wouldn't have had the chops to choreograph a fight like the one between Kougami and Makishima. That's likely why they opted out and had Akane handcuff Togane.

And so ends one of the anime that I believe was one of the most anticipated of the year, the end was inside than I expected seeing the last episodes, having a good Development also

But this season could not arrest me just as it was with the first, plot and characters were fall short of the first season, was also disappointed by Kougami not appear this season

Well, soon will have the movie and I hope that development is even better, because I am already quite eager ..

So...... tougane is just a crazy mama's boy and sibyl continue to exist,is ginoza a supporting character? and where the hell is kougami i was hoping i will see him before it end, even just a glimpse you know? " -_-'' mataku" the disappointment is strong in this one, we didn't even see some amazing hand to hand combat like in season 1,i thought i gonna see tougane beat the crap out of kamui because he know martial art but no his been put down by akane "BY FREAKIN AKANE!! who's no knowledge of martial art whatsoever and a girl at that ,what a Disappointing character you are.The movie needs to be much better than this.

anyway its ok but season 1 is way " WAY" better.
even if the ending is really REALLY disappointing
i give it a 8/10

unforgivable.

The second is that they managed to destroy Akane’s character. Akane in season one was a rare gem of a female MC – she was able, active and she had her own goals, that were more important to her than romance. In this season, despite several good moments, she is turned into a “chosen one”, practically – into a Mary Sue. She seems passive – she doesn’t evolve, she is not a driving force behind the plot anymore – instead she just sits at the center, while males act, claiming to be “inspired” by her, “admire” her or simply find her special. I don’t mean that she isn’t special or that admiration is a bad thing, but I’ve seen stories like that and it’s always the same. Being strong willed becomes not too different from having a nice butt – a mean to attracts partners. It’s not that I look for ways to invoke SJW logic, especially when discussing anime, especially on MAL, but this really reeks of a bad shoujo romance (they even had a duel because of her, and that last Kamui’s glance “look, I am dying for you!”, ugh…). Not to mention that whenever she was in doubt she invoked a ghost of Kamui, cause she of course can’t decide by herself. I wanted to prevent arguments by admitting that she was an important actor in the last scenes, where she tried to not get Kamui, Tougane or Sybil killed before judging them properly, but then I remembered that it didn’t amount to anything, since guys decided to sort it out between men… I could stand it done to almost anyone but Akane. She was free from all this stereotypes, and that made her a very precious, very valuable character. Or more precisely used to make.

Very agreed.

I'm pretty disappointed in this. Overall, I'd say it should objectively get a 7/10, but because I liked S1 SOOOOO much, and this is bad in comparison, my emotions want me to give it a 4/10.

I have a feeling that all the ridiculously low scores people are providing are due to a similar subjective-emotional rating system.

Luckily, I know it's not actually bad, it was just lacking in great, which is what I came to expect from S1.

It also paved the way for the movie next year, which I suspect will bring back, possibly above and beyond, the greatness we experienced in S1.

The number represents the word "bad" and that is what this season was.

Terrible pacing problems. Too slow in the beginning, decent in the middle and then rushing the ending and tying up too many loose threads in the last episode.
Cast that doesn't get development at all. Ginoza is barely seen throughout the entire season, Sho has his moments but doesn't get less shy or open up, Tougane is the stereotypical "I am bad because I am" character and Mika didn't change at all.
Mika being useless
Mika being a bitch to everyone
Kamui being a lacklustre antagonist. Let me sum up Kamui: Made up of 184 body parts, wants Sibyl to judge him and drugs people to do his bidding.
Akane not getting any inner monologues and questioning her thought process. Hell a little reflection and thinking back to missions from the first season would have been nice. You would think going against a brilliant antagonist such as Makashima would spark some thoughts and ideas....but no.
Didn't feel like a team at all like the first season and felt way too individualistic in their missions.
Too much unnecessary gore.
Bad animation
The plot was really lacking this season and even after the finale, several unanswered questions come to mind instantly.
Most of the season I am scratching my head wondering why certain characters are doing certain actions that make no sense.
Plot holes galore
Last episode was a trainwreck

I had time to cool down and rethink about it and watched the episode again and still gets the same score. A lowly 4/10.

I also had time to process a bit more, and while I still can't give it a MAL "bad," at 4/10, but I'll drop it to 5-6. Haha.

Wow bandwagon haters everywhere. Anyway this season was entertaining but it feels that some of the events just pop up out of nowhere. So its storytelling is not as solid as S1. 7/10

I'm looking forward to Mika in the movie. She's the most "normal" character in this season so I kinda liked her.

7/10 for trying. my guts says it deserves a 6, but the show is a tad better than all the 6s i have. so, it's like a 6.499.

Also one question, at the credits in the ending song was that Kamui in the prison? Did he survive that shot from Tougane??

LOL. XD Same:

"Wait...How is Kamui in prison!?"
*rewind*
"No. That's Shisui. The one that had her eye taken by Kamui."
"Ohhhhh..."

Kamui and Shisui do look kinda alike though so...yeah. I have a feeling there are plenty of people thinking, "Wait...how is Kamui in prison?" during the ED.

Don't know why it took me so long to notice this, but dang, Tougane's sideburns are incredible. Or maybe they were just more noticeable in this episode or something.

Hm yeah wasn't feeling this season very much, despite liking the first episode. There just wasn't really much character development going on, especially with so many new supporting characters. I pretty much agree with most of the other criticisms people have been commenting on over the whole season. Was a disappointment, though still the one that watched first every Thursday.

*just watched ep11, the finale*

GINOZA: I know the writers joked that if they ever did another Psycho Pass that it might as well be called "Ginoza Pass" (because so many MCs died). I WOULD HAVE LOVED THAT. Tons of Ginoza screen time and character development would have been fantastical! That's right. I said FANTASTICAL. A whole season with Ginoza focus would have been amazing. There is SO MUCH they could have done with his character. Instead we got "Whatevs Ginoza"; a lackluster character who shows up for 5 seconds of screen time here and there to deliver overly obvious lines. NO. NOBUCHIKA IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT. I don't even feel like he was a MC in s2.

SHO: Remember our first peek into the enforcer truck in s2? Remember this guy? He was allowed a pitiful amount of screentime which made me sad. This character had endless potential for awesomeness.

Sho is amazing. I mean, he eats his rice with pills-as-topping. The scenes he did have were memorable and he should have had more of them. Not to mention the face that he shares the same seiyuu as...

Sho has the same seiyuu as Makishima: the always brilliant Sakurai Takahiro. And I wanted more of that.

I can only hope that "Ponytail Ginoza" has plentiful screentime in the movie and that his badassery is allowed to shine.

Okay. I need to stop. I could go on and on forever but yeah. I'll start praying to Ye Anime Movie Gods.

Objectively, this season would get a 6, or maybe 7, but since this was so entertaining for me, i will give this a subjective 8/10. Score may drop or rise upon further reflection ~

I give it a 7/10 overall.

It was usually entertaining for me to watch, but it was just missing that IT factor that season 1 had. I know a part of that factor is that this season, none of the characters drew me in like Makashima , Kougami, and Masaoka .. and even fun characters from the first season like Ginoza and Akane just weren't that great in this season to me (well to be fair how much screen time was GInoza aloted?). There's more to it that I can't describe very well.

I'm hoping the movie will surpass the 2nd season..

All the haters jumped onto the thread already. Yelling and screaming about how this is the worst piece of shit they've ever seen. If that's the case, you fucking children need to go watch some more anime. I can think of AT LEAST a dozen other shows I've watched that make PP2 look like anime of the year.

Aside from that, PP2 was far from a master piece. It had some episodes that were incredibly well written, and others that just made you shake your head.

Ling Tosite Sigure and EGOIST fucking killed it this season though. Both songs were phenomenal.

So at the end of the day Tougane was a weird mom-con who went bat shit crazy and bled out....because Mika was once again still useless. And still Sybil crazy.

Good guy Kamui got what he wanted; to be able to get Sybil to evolve so that it could judge both itself and him. And he got his color. Compared to Makishima he was actually doing society a favor.

Akane still shit useless too. Oh, I found out Tougane killed my grandmother...guess I still wont kill him. Oh, Kamui tells me that if I point my dominator at Sybil I can potentially see a higher CC and correct Sybil even more. Well shit, I better definitely not do that then! Akane Tsunemori...just as shit useless as she was in season 1.

Yayoi called Mika out on her bullshit at the end. Wonder if she knew for sure.

I cant wait for the movie since it takes place between season 1 and 2. And most likely Kougami is going to die since he's working as a terrorist. Then after that, shit is going to be pretty weird. I'm going to assume Akane will kill him and think of him differently, which will make all those hallucinations she had in season 2 awkward.

Im not sure how to react to this season and its ending o.O...
last episode was 'ok'(?) nothing too surprising happened especially compared to the other episode of the season. people who were expected to die, died (well... expect a certain someone) and akane moves on with her life (who is now prob haunted by the ghost of kamui along with her kogami hallucinations)

overall, season 2 was interesting, but definitly doesnt compare to s1 at all.
s2 was like: new character > action > action > gore > explosions > holograms > deep psychological stuff about sibyl > more action and ppl dieing etc.

there was definitely alot more ppl exploding in this season...
im glad that togane is gone now~ (alittle sad for kirito, but it was expected), still annoyed at mika...

id give this season a 6~7/10 (7 cause hinokawa was cute)
I can't wait for the movie~ I'm looking forward to some kogami shinya <3

lol that was silly

This reminds me a lot of the movie 'Interstellar' which I just watched a couple of days ago. I think that like Christopher Nolan, the writers for Psycho pass tried to be extremely deep but just ended up making the movie look kind of silly. However, like Interstellar, I still really enjoyed myself watching all these episodes. The pacing was great and each episode threw something new at you despite how overly symbolic it was trying to be in shoving some 'extremely deep' meanings and tones.

Overall A great series an 8/10 for me, cannot wait for the movie :D

I'm pretty convinced they didn't wanted to do anything serious with a second season. On the other hand, the first season is extremelly well done.

I mean, I thought it was criminally asymptomatic fuckers, but now it looks like Misako and a lot of the individual brains had high PP?

And did they invite Akane? Hah! I always thought she was asymptomatic! But then, unfortunately, the show is kind of vague about whether sibyl was really serious when it extended the invitation to Akane.

Kougami didn't show up at the end like i was hoping, well hope the Movie washes my mouth from this bad taste and feeling because this was just terrible.

Also one question, at the credits in the ending song was that Kamui in the prison? Did he survive that shot from Tougane??

kamuis purpose was to find sybil and force it to recognize him and judge him as a collective mind.doing this made it so sybil can be judged as a collective mind also. this i why sybil got rid of the bad clouded minds.
